Description:
A modern ryokan built in June 1989. Both Japanese-style and Western-style rooms are available. All the Japanese-style rooms are not furnished with a private bath, but private use of a common bath is available. Close to Asakusa Kannon Temple and Ueno Park. Since the Edo period, Iriya has been famous for its handicrafts such as Buddhist alter, furniture, chest of drawers made of paulownia and lacquerware, etc. If you are interested, I can recommend soem shops where you can buy Japanese dolls and imitation swords at reasonable prices. Kappabashi, Tokyo''s kitchenware/plastic food sample district, is also close. Lively asagoa-ichi, morning glory market, is held at Iriya Kishibo-jin on July 6, 7 and 8 every year.
