Saariselka Tunturi Hotel

There is no real 'centre' to the small village of Saariselka, and the Saariselan Tunturihotelli is located in a large area of land off the town's only road.

The hotel also offers a wide range of activities to compliment the variety of accommodation types. It is an excellent and characteristic base from which to explore the Lappish countryside and move on northwards to north cape.

It is made up of a combination of low rise sprawling buildings set in woodland. Some are wooden in design with others built from stone materials.

Is located on the first floor. It is a huge simply-furnished, clean room which overlooks the surrounding fells.

The main building houses a medium-sized warm and welcoming reception with a small seating area and interesting gift shop. To the right of the reception is a pizzeria and bar which is popular with both locals and hotel guests alike.

The numerous buildings comprise family apartments and individual guest rooms, all named after animals found in the surrounding wilderness. 50% are small, 30% medium and 20% large. All are in exceptional condition and decorated in rustic country style.
