I stayed at Rydges with my daughter to see the ballet at QPAC, which is a two-minute walk away. The Southbank area is beautiful and the hotel is great. Staff were lovely, very helpful despite us asking repeatedly for them to fetch items from our car, which they had parked for us. The room was clean, very well appointed and although there is no pool, they have a spa and sauna. Cooked breakfast was pricey but plentiful and well presented, delivered hot and exactly when I'd asked for it. Room has a kitchenette with the usual drinks, and the bathroom has a bath which we prefer, so all in all we were delighted.

Staff were very friendly and helpfull. They always had a smile which was refreshing when you arrive to the hotel tired. Room very nice, clean and what you expect. The bathroom was a bit on the small side for two people. Hotel sited in the middle of south bank perfect location. We will be staying here again.

I chose to stay at Rydges South Bank as a meeting place to hook up to other family members flying in from other parts of Australia. Rydges is close to not only South Bank and all its facitilites but to some great eating places on Grey Street. It was a 10 minute walk to the City, which is an enjoyable walk over the Brisbane River. My family found it convenient, service was great, facilities wonderful. I usually stay in the city but for the price and convenience I would definitely go back to Rydges. Gold Star to the hotel and staff. cheers

It was great to be able to use the walkway from the hotel to my concert at the Convention and Exhibition Centre. Very reasonable mini bar wine prices and a great Wagyu Burger !!!

A great location, very adequate rooms for the price, helpful staff , buffet breakfast good. Only drawback is no pool but there is the pool at Southbank. Would stay again.

Splendid location for Southbank activities, particularly theatres. Great tapas in restaurant/bar after a play and when I reported trouble with my shower on checkout, a note was made immediately to call maintenance.

Everything was exelent. The room price was somewhath high but compared to what we received it was worth every penny.

Unfortunately the breakfast at this establishment for $33 per head was very average and certainly not value for money. Selection was poor which did not even include eggs of any sort.

We enjoyed our stay - location perfect with restaurants along Little Stanley St across the road! Service perfect -front desk staff were very friendly and helpful as were the concierge staff and dining room staff.

Nice hotel, stayed there for 4 consecutive nights with no problems. Very comfortable beds and room is clean and tidy. The only bad things is there is not much on site facilities in the hotel, no spa, swimming pool and gym as I can remember.
