| This place was perfect for us - 2 adults and 2 kids wanting a one-night stop-over in Auckland to recover from jetlag. The beds were divinely comfortable, it was quiet, we got two rooms next to each other with a connecting vestibule. The food at the Circa restaurant was outstanding. The air conditioning system was modern and not intrusive (important when trying to sleep with bad jet lag!). Obviously they are renovating and the place is a bit tatty in places and no extra amenities. Its not a 5 star experience in terms of looks and entertainment... but if it a great bed in great location with first class food you are after, at a good price, this place is for you. We would stay there again. |

| Has been refurbished - but still seemed a little dated - not quite sure why. Our room was not ready on arrival but staff were helpful and our bags had been delivered to the room when we returned.
Very Handy location. |

| Great location adjacent to Star City casino and entertainment complex, and just a short walk to harbourside restaurants and main shopping street. Seamless check-in and check-out, and no problem with asking for late check-out. Clean and well appointed room. Nothing wrong with this hotel - basically a good 4* hotel in a great location. |

| Another fabulous stay at Rydges in Auckland. Rooms are fantastic and great value for money. Really impressed with customer service particularly when they moved us to another room later in the evening because of stereo noise coming from a car parked in the alley below our window. They were quick to act on our concerns and staff even asking the next morning if everything had been okay. Will never stay at any other hotel in Auckland - Rydges truly is the best! |

| The hotel is in a great position for getting around Auckland. The room was a little restrictive not because it was small but because it was badly designed, little or no drawer space. it seemed the designer was more concerned with the design of the room rather than the practicality. ie no where to put cases. Set of drawers in wardrobe with safe on top, when the safe could have been on the upper shelf (then room for cases). Would I stay again, yes, for the convenience of the position of the hotel. Walked a long way to find a supermarket only to find one 50mtrs away around the corner plus 3 or four reasonably priced restaurants. |

| Hotel is in an excellent location - half a bloc from the Sky Tower and a short walk from Queen St and waterfront. Nice medium size hotel, I liked contemporary room decor. The only major drawback was lack of porter service - I stayed in the hotel twice and not once I was offered help with carrying my bags to the room, which I thought was quite bad in 4* hotel |
