Our first & last stay at a Rydges establishment if this is what they offer, room had terrible musty smell, spiders hanging from ceiling, blowflies in room, shower that leaked all over the floor and no response from manager to feedback form, very poor from a reputable firm.

We have stayed in numerous hotels in the area, this is now our preference, a very relaxed setting, 10 min drive & your shopping or eating out in Canberra.

We went to escape a hot weekend in Canberra. We enjoyed our "trip away", and I was particularly impressed with the meal in the restaurant. Because the location is set in bushland, we also got to see kangaroos and a wallaby very close to our room - lovely.

The Room was cold and no AC or heater controls in room. It was raining heavily and had to walk from the car in the rain to get to the rooms.

Although the unit was NON SMOKING - we could smell smoke on arrival - perhaps we should have reported this. Nevertheless our stay was pleasant.

The beds are the best i have ever slept in, extremely comfortable. The actual rooms are nice, spacious, comfortable. The TV's that are provided are great. The location and set up of the hotel is superb, the surroundings are very quiet, the locations of the room to the reception are great as you get to have a relacxing walk in the local flora. The prices are great, the facilities provided are awesome, i can recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Canberra or the surrounding regions.

Nil sound proofing between rooms, I really believed someone was showering in our bathroom at 6:30am, only to realise the plumbing was very lound between rooms. The bathroom is very awkward with the toilet jammed behind the door restricting access and the size of the vanity top was more than useless. Very much in need of a coat of paint, new carpet, "Exit Mould" and soundproofing. Is not in keeping with other Rydges hotel standards.

Dissappointed with our dinner in the main restaurant. Quite expensive for the quality. Don't order the pizzette. Very slow service. 1 person serving the whole restaurant. Staff generally not very friendly. Good service at breakfast. On another good note, loved the dream beds. Extremely comfortable. Nice bush walk behind the hotel. Saw kangaroos.
