The hotel is built on the ruins of a 17th century Turkish Khan was home to Austrian Council during the Ottoman era. This charming historic hotel comprises a total of 77 double rooms, spread between a main building and annexe buildings. Facilities on offer include an entrance hall with 24-hour reception, a currency exchange facility and lift access. Guests can also make use of the cafe, bar and restaurant, as well as the hotel's conference facilities and WLAN access point. Room service is available for a small additional fee. In the dining room, which used to be the stables, guests can see where the horses were once tethered. The hotel is surrounded by gardens and looks out over Mount Meron and the valley. How to get there
From Tel-Aviv take the coastal road (#2) in the direction of Haifa. At Zichron Ya'akov turn right and follow road # 70 through Yokneam until reaching Shaar Hamakim Intersection. Turn right onto the road to Tiberias (# 75) then turn left onto road #77, then drive to Golani Junction. Turn left onto road # 65 then drive to Ammud Junction and turn left onto road #85 until reaching Meron Junction. Turn right onto road #89 and drive on until reaching the entrance to Safed. Drive past the central bus station and then follow signs to the hotel.
