Average hotel for the money, but was clean.

i really only needed a bed for 2 nights in order to get to work. the bedroom was very small, the single bed was just big enough for me and i am only 5'2. there were 2 lamps in the room, neither of which worked so i was unable to have any ambient lighting. The toilet had not been flushed prior to my checking in. the bathroom was very very small, with a tiny hand basin barely suitable for washing hands in. i did not eat breakfast as i left before it was served.

Staff was friendly and efficient. Since we were leaving early to catch flights home, the staff offered to provide an early cold breakfast in our room. Nice touch!Close walk to downtown Reading.Lots of pubs and restaurants mearby.

The only issue I had was the fact that I stayed there because I was in transit from the North and had an interview in London the following day, and the manager would not allow me to leave my bags there to pick up later which was very inconvenient.

Quite rude staff. As I was checking in and before I had even seen my room they wanted the money. I told them I'd be paying cash and asked him for the nearest cashpoint. Went to my room, which was very poor then proceeded to go to my car to find a cashpoint. i was actually followed out of the hotel to make sure I wasn't running away without paying.

A clean and comfortable hotel which I was able to get at very short notice - the furniture and room itself were perhaps a little faded but more than adequate for overnight stay

could do with a hook in bathroom to hang towels, bathrobe etc.....apart from that we enjoyed our stay .....very friendly hosts and very helpful........would not hesitate to stay there again.......

An unpretentious hotel very conveniently sited near the centre of Reading with good parking. The family that run it are very friendly and nice. Room was clean, comfortable and more than adequate. The food, though, was OK but a little average. Very fit for purpose, I'd stay there again

Avoid this hotel at all costs,at £65 bed and breakfast it is awfull. All the owner/manager was concerned with was authorising payment on my credit card. Television did not work correctly, biscuits were 1 week out of date, no bathroom toiletries, shower did not work-only cold water, no teaspoon to stir coffee, bedroom tiny-bathroom door would not open fully. the breakfast was truly appauling, please please please avoid this hotel it is shocking

Hotel was in an undesirable part of Reading. My room was very cold at night, heating didn't work, water was always cold. When I arrived, shower door was hanging off. Owners didn't even ask on leaving how my stay was.

Room was small and basic and some items required a little maintenance, however the room was clean, had an en-suite with a very good shower, the bed was comfortable, the hotel was in a good location and the staff were friendly. Fine for a one-night stay, possible not great for a longer visit.

It's just wasting money, absolutely not value for money! Room is small, TV is old and the worst thing is toilet. I had to flushed three times, which is at least, every single time when I used it!!!

A B&B rather than a hotel . clean comfortable but basic , shower broken but effective Breakfast poor . small and cold .

The staff were friendly and helpful.It's not a hotel,more a hostel.I have a larger wardrobe than the room I stayed in.I detest Holiday Inns but will choose there the next time I'm in Reading.
