I was returning to Dublin after having lived there a few years ago--looking for a place that combined good location with a little charm for as low a price as possible. My sister and I stayed for 2 nights at the beginning of our trip: it was easy to get to the hotel using the Airlink Bus from the airport. I love the location because it's so close to St. Stephen's Green and Grafton St., but for those who want to be really near Temple Bar or the N. side of the river (i.e. the bus station), this place is a little far. When we checked in, I requested a room on the top floor because of the noise factor (I'd booked through orbitz) and we were given a LOVELY, huge, street-side room, with a fireplace, bathtub, etc. The hotel provides earplugs, which I used, and the noise issue was not a problem. If you want absolute silence, you should book somewhere else, but I'm hard-pressed to think where you can stay for as little as low a rate and have as great an overall experience, while dealing with a little street noise. We returned to the Russell Court for 1 night in the middle of our trip and had a second lovely experience. This time, the room was much smaller, but nice and well-appointed and on the third floor again. We went to the bar in the hotel once and had a nice time-typical Dublin nightclub. We also had breakfast one morning and that was good. No internet is a bummer and the charge to use the computer downstairs is expensive. You should stay here if you are trying to keep costs down and are looking for a great DEAL. I'd say that's what I got, with no hesitation and would book here the next time I was traveling to the city.

we have stayed here before and our room this time was much more spacious although the windows did not open and we had to get the maintenance man to come and turn off the heating. good hotel for party weekends not suitable for early nights as the bars and clubs are open until 3 or 4 am. would stay here again is an easy walk to grafton street and temple bar areas.

I traveled to Dublin with my girlfriend. I knew Dublin would be expensive, so I tried to save money where I could. This hotel was in a good location near the Green and was reasonably priced. However, I was not anticipating the constant loud noises. This hotel is on a busy bar (pub) street so all you hear is drunks yelling and yes SINGING at all hours of the night (until about 4:30 am). And for some reason the cabbies are honking their horns as if in chorus. Couple this with thin walls and you can hear your neighbor snoring and it will keep you up all night. Also the bathroom was very small (even for Dublin). And the bed was the worst I had ever slept on. I ended up putting 2 pillows under the mattress to add support in order to keep my back from laying on the box springs. So my advice is to bring sleeping pills and ear plugs and this will be the perfect hotel for you. By the way, after 2 nights of this, I switched to the Grafton City Hotel just up the street a few blocks for the same price, a better room and no noise.

You couldn't beat the price and location to St. Stephen's Green, Grafton St., and Trinity College. Very charming and cozy rooms. Try to stay on an upper level room, as the nightclub is quite loud

Nice, flash looking hotel that was well priced during our stay (October). Situated above a number of nightclubs on harcourt st (krystle and bojangles are directly below the hotel) so it's pretty loud at night. Conveniently located if you want to party however.

The club inthe evenings is very loud. They have a club on either side of the hotel so it doenst matter where your room is you will still hear it. However they do offer free ear plugs which work pretty well.

My only fault was my room was directly above the disco which went on to 3am. I think this should have been mentioned when booking.

the rooms are all individually styled very comfortable we found them bigger than the norm excellent hotel a little noisy on a Saturday but anywhere you stay in Dublin is noisy on a Saturday so we did not find this a problem I would stay there again

I stayed in this hotel only two weeks ago at the front of the hotel, looking onto the street, which even though the room was smaller was less noisier than staying at the back of hotel which is where we were this time. You would have to have severe hearing problems not to hear the thump thump music coming from the nightclub below. Our beds might as well have been in the nightclub, and believe me its far from old I am. Not to mention that on the Sunday night we were trying for 15mins at round 3am to get into the hotel, I was not happy with this either. You have a choice here, stay at front of hotel and listen to noise from street or stay at back of hotel and listen to nightclub. Personally I will not be staying here again.

this is not a hotel if your looking for peace and quiet, it is fine if you are going to be out late yourself as there is a lot of noise until the early hours of the morning. did find reception staff not very knowledgeable about the surrounding area, but overall it suited our needs completely

A delightful old Georgian building just outside St Styephens green with good links into the main town. No need to venture to far away though as the clubs and bars within are excellent and were always full of revellers enjoying the Craic!! Highly recommend

Our stay at Russell Court was very good midweek. However be warned that because of the nightclub facilities it can be very noisy after midnight and beyond. Earplugs are provided, so remember to use them. Location, facilities, room, breakfast all excellent. Just a pity it wasnt Irish sessions music and then we would have enjoyed it even more.

brilliant weekend, ideal for celebrating with friends. Very lively hotel would definately go back. Complementry ear plugs much needed even at 4am! had a lovely room with four poster bed which helped top the weekend off. Night club excellent really friendly security staff who like to see you having a good time.
