I booked Russell Court Hotel as a surprise for my Partner, from the time we entered were made welcome to the time of departure, the room was so nicely decorated and new restaurant was mind blowing.Would highly recommend the Hotel, and will certainly be using more regularly.

Booked this hotel as it was stated that a new lift was being fitted in May, on arrival I was told I was on the 3rd floor and that there was no lift...... being a disabled person I told them I could not climb that amount of stairs and that it addvertised a new lift was to have been fitted in May, the reply was I could have a twin room on the 1st floor for an extra £7+ which of course I had to agree to as I could not go around Bournemouth looking for another room, I am 72 yrs old and disabled. Also no locks on the bedroom door and the french windows. June Davis.

This hotel is currently undergoing redecoration and modernisation. But in no way did this impact adversely on the stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location absolutely brilliant and my room very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast good. Would stay there again without hesitation.

Good friendly hotel close to amenitiesWe were surprised at the excellent quality of this hotel considering the price we paid, also how close it was to the pier, the shops and the beach. A slight drawback for older persons could be the hill one has to climb when returning from the beach. We received a friendly and courteous welcome and found the room to be of a high standard. It appears that the rooms have been refurbished and the bar and dining room appeared the same. We will stay at this hotel when we return to Bournemouth.

Use branded food it was cheap graded butter, jam etc. Food not very goodShower uselessThe Bedroom need an upgrade. Would not to stay in this bedroom if we return.Had to pay for car park, extended stay of say 2 hours on day of departure.Very warm Hotel with good staff which helped with our stay

Great hotel. Close to city centre and only a few hunderd meters from the beach. Highly recommended

The hotel needs to provide residents with keys to the hotel for access after the doors are locked, 11pm. We got in at 3am and had difficulty gaining access, rang the bell a number of times, then had to hammer on the door to wake up the night porter, sorry to any guest we disturbed!

A two star hotel providing clean, adequate rooms with en suite facilities. Rooms are being upgraded but this incurs extra cost. Breakfast quite good, cereals, fruit juice and choice of cooked English/ham/kippers. Very nice barman but bar seating quite basic and no lounge. No entertainment. Dinner is available but we didn't try it. Probably better during high summer - we stayed middle of September. Lots of complaints from fellow guests about £5 per day for parking in hotel car park. Redeemed by excellent location.

Hotel room itself was adequate, bathroom shower was poor and did not have any pressure, television did not have a proper signal on any channel 1-4 no satellite television as advertised and parking in the car park despite the fact we were staying in the hotel was an extra £5 per day. Staff were friendly and helpful but I feel the hotel was expensive for what facilties were on offer.

An unusual experience! The hotel is undergoing extensive refurbishing, my room appeared to have just been finished. Everything in it appeared pristine, one notable exception being the TV set which appeared to be a 1995 model which, judging by the 'picture quality', appeared to have no aerial. Due to the building work the corridor carpets were a bit tacky, but the room itself was fine.On the debit side, I was not happy to be charged £5 to park my car. This was not mentioned in the 'hotel description' on your website. Also I was very unhappy to be charged £2.50 because I paid by credit card.Overall a good stay, but I deplore the underhand money grabbing.

The hotel was okay, the room was quite big and served its purpose for our one nights stay. However we were surprised to be charged £5 for our car to be parked in the carpark at the front of the hotel, seeing as though it was an open car park and not undercover.

the room was basic but clean and tidy.... didnt stay for breakfast due to work commitments

Awful service, barely able to understand English, manager unavailable, hidden carparking charges, unclean room, noisy from outside and within hotel.

The hotel was easy to find, but on a steep hill. Parking was chrged at £5 per day ON TOP of your bill, when we arrived we were met by a rude and abbrupt receptionist, who gave us a choice of 2 rooms and asked for payment upfront which included a 2.5% charge when paying by card!! The first room was dark, dingy and dirty with a bad smell, the second up (more stairs!) was better - much lighter, we asked for the second room and paid a £10 pperson p/night upgrade and were asked to return at 2.30pm when our room would be ready, we returned at 3.30 and our room was still being \"cleaned\"( if you can call it that!!) the cleaner cleaned around us whilst we waited for 15 mins, she barely used the hoover and there was no sign of any cleaning products used. The breakfast which was charged at £7.50 incl in cost was TERRIBLE, very poor standard of food, my boyfriend couldn;t eat his and the coffee was also un drinkable!!I would NEVER reccommend this hotel to anyone!!!!!!! AWFUL!

Cheap and cheerful with a great location - Pay your money and take your choice.

when we got there we were offered the chance to upgrade our room for £10, would recommend it as the other room was very small & dark. the bar was very cheap & you could leave the car there overnight for £5.

Although the single room was a little on the small side it provided me with all the facilities required for my stay. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful and the decor and cleanliness in the room was first class. Unfortunately due to a minority of noisy guests I did get disturbed once during the night but this would not have been preventable by the hotel staff or management. Overall I found the hotel clean, staff friendly and helpful and I would definitely book here again. Shame about the £5 car park charge but the hotel is very conveniently situated so I was happy to accept this.

The position of the hotel was good, but the quality of the hotel was poor. Very old decor and carpets, small-ish room and old fashioned bathroom with grey suite - but bathroom was clean. Staff at reception were poor. We arrived at 5.00 pm for a two night stay and paid £10 on arrival for two days parking. We had no objection to that. We were annoyed that we were told that we hd to leave the car park by 12 noon on the day of departure or pay another £5. We wanted to go to the aquarium and would have liked leaway for a couple of hours (still less than the 48 hours we had paid for) but were told we'd have to pay a further £5 if we exceeded the 12 noon deadline. We were told it was \"hotel policy\" which apparently amounts to an immutable law. Not a pleasant or friendly reception.

Very enjoyable stay, the staff were helpful and friendly, the room was an adequate size and was comfortable and the food was good. Ideally sited for the pier and town centre - we will definately consider this hotel again when next visiting Bournemouth.
