A FEW of the staff spoke English and were friendly/helpful (they even seemed happy to have us there). The granite floors had never seen a mechanical scrubber but had been swept and moped often, Lampshades frayed, pillow had a hole in it, drape had a large tear in it and the towels were often frayed. After a few days, a strange life form was growing on the shower walls (mildew).

The hotel facilities are great. The roof top swimming pool and its bar was welcoming and clean. The breakfast buffet has huge selection and varieties (they were also very delicious). The location was only 5blocks from the beach. However the Reception Customer Service needs to improve its customer services. The impression I received was that the Reception Customer Service (especially the males) come across as arrogant. The staff seems to multi-tasks and this gives you (as the customer) an impression that they are not paying 100% attention to your requests/enquiries. The staff are not too forwarding with providing information when I enquired about bus/metro timetables, alternative transportation to airport instead of taxi, or even things to do/see in Copabacana. They were more interested that I purchased one of their tour packages available at their counter - more than likely because there are commissions involved.
