The beautiful design meets you at the door and continues through to the room, which is well designed and very comfortable. The location, staff, food, and amenities are wonderful.

Attentive service. Small elevators. Great value for money.

I made a reservation in December. Becasue of a change in plans I had to cancel the reservation about 10 days before my arrival date. no problem cancelling the reservation except the hotel rebooked the room in my name for some reason and didn't alert me. Imagine my surprise when the room charge for a "no-show" Showed up on my charge account. It has taken months of back and forth to resolve (haven't yet). They keep telling me i am responsible for it which would be fine if it weren't for the fact that i cancalled the original reservation (they have confirmation of that). there is a computer glitch on their end and they are blaming me for it. I continue to try and resolve it. Check your charge account carefully. I only know about this charge becasue i checked my statement in January.

Royalton is a great hotel. Would not change a thing! First hotel I have stayed at that delivers everything in its description/pictures online.

The newly renovated Royalton is gorgeous. I cannot imagine there could have been a smaller room in the hotel. It was like one of those inside cabins on a cruise ship. The lobby is fabulous and great for hanging out in. Staff could not have been more helpful. Great central location. Gym is small, but new.

Excellent staff. Lobby too dark. Very nice hotel in the middle of everything.

Always at home here and the new decor suits Winter in the city, although it has taken a while to get used to. The best beds and pillows combined with the best showers. Remains a strong favorite with great service. Highly recommend.

The location is great if you're in New York for a Broadway show. We were able to walk to almost everything we wanted to see. The room was smaller than we're used to, but very comfortable. The bathroom made up for the smaller bedroom.

I have stayed here many times. Always a great experience. A great location in the middle of Manhattan. It is a great hotel for the traveler that wants to have a unique hotel experience. If you want a hotel, room that looks like every other hotel and room then this is the wrong spot for you. If you want to be surprised, enjoy the Royalton. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The public space is a great place to hang or to or enjoy conversation and drink. Easy to get anywhere you need to go in Manhattan.

Extremely trendy with very dark lighting throughout. They had candles in the room with no warning about the cost of lighting them - which was $18 a candle . Very dark and trendy. When the doors open (with no signs at all - so its a mystery entrance for the trendy effect) it exposes a bar and lounge that is so darkly lit you can't see for a while. Its packed with beautiful people. The hotel lobby is in the back area. Wonderful room, very chic with all chrome, glass, and gray slate. The bed was very comfortable and the room had cool dim lighting. If you want a bright place to work - this is not it. Even on full blast with all the lights lit, its very dim (intentionally so). It reminded me a bit of the W in New Orleans (no sign, dark lobby, a huge bar with the hotel check-in on one side.) Room service stops at Midnight (which surprised me).

Price, location, friendly staff and unusual but functional decor. Guest room lighting inadequate.

This boutique style hotel was very nice! The rooms are very small and the hotel is too dark inside, especially in the morning. This boutique style hotel was great value. Unfortunately we were delayed with our check in and got the smallest room on the floor. It was sufficient for us. We found the location excellent to the metro, shopping and alot of attractions. As nice as the hotel is at night, I would have hoped that the lighting would be brighter during the daytime.

Great comfortable bed. Nice showers, too. Very quiet for a New York hotel. I didn't hear squat. If you want to be in Midtown, wonderful. I wastired of Midtown. Very comfortable beds. Great night sleep. Quiet hotel on pretty quiet street. Nice shower. If you like midtown, great location.

It was lovely and comfortable. The public spaces were not brightly lit to conduct business.

Staff. Dark hallways. Great location. Great staff. Modern, European style rooms. Great value. Only minor downsides were dark hallways, dark bathroom, and no signage out front, so you don't know it is the hotel until you ask the bell hop.

Unique, contemporary decor. Lighting was a little dim in main lobby area. Great hotel experience. Unique and contemporary decor with the comfort of beds and bathroom being my favorite qualities. Bathroom is all stone tile floor and walls with shower only great bathroom fixtures. Would highly recommend this hotel. Comfort of bed is huge bonus.

Shower was awesome. Hallways were very dark. Hotel was very nice and very modern. The hallways were narrow and dark, reminded me of being on a cruise ship, but I do not think that is what they were going for.

Incredibly nice and helpful front-desk personnel. Somewhat smallish room. Very hipster-oriented, which is not necessarily my scene. Incredibly nice and helpful front-desk personnel. Room was definitely small, and, being on 6th floor and in front of hotel, there was a lot of street noise to get used to, which I did. Very cool furnishings. Couldn't beat it for the price.
