Best value in Boston for the fireworks on the 4th of July. Walk 15 minutes, across the Longfellow Bridge to downtown Boston. Great hotel with great staff!

Large room. Very unfriendly staff at the reception desk. No good place to eat nearby except shopping mall fast food. The location was just so bad. This hotel couldn't be reached by any of the public transportation, so we ended up spending tons of money on taxi! They didn't provide us new soap, shampoos! The very first day, instead of flushing, the toilet bowl water was exploded on us! I have never seen like that in my life! The crew didn't react shocked, that meant, it happened often?

We stayed at the Royal Sonesta Hotel on two separate occasions and had different rooms both times. The beds in both rooms were really comfortable and the staff at reception and the enquiries desk were always smiling and courteous. We would definitely recommend the Royal Sonesta Hotel Boston.

I really enjoyed our stay at the Royal Sonesta in Cambridge, MA. The room was nice, bathroom was a little small, but the room was perfect with nice amenities. The pool and other services especially the free bike rental was very nice. We didn't eat at the restaurants because they were VERY expensive. Location was decent, pretty close to Boston, but the closest subway station was more than a half mile away. Boston is a great city, and I would go again just to see all the sites again.

The hotel was very nice and the staff were very friendly. The rate through Orbitz was fantastic for the value. The girls liked the huge mall right across the street. Fairly close to downtown with about a 5 minute walk to the subway trains. Area of town was nice and felt safe at night.

It is pretty far from the metro station. The river view was a joke. Every little service is very expensive.

My fiance and I spent the weekend in boston to celebrate her birthday. I thought the Royal Sonesta would be a good choice, as it's located in Cambridge, and pretty central to all the things we wanted to do. The photos made the hotel seem like a nice place. When we arrived, the hotel staff were condescending, pretentious, unfriendly and unwelcoming. The price seemed reasonable for such a good location, until we saw the room. I don't think I've ever stayed in such a small room before. The bathroom was even smaller. Too small to even have a full size tub. Shower stall only, and this was a King bed room. An odd mirror covered nearly the entire wall, making the toilet use somewhat disturbing. Little placards stated that wireless internet service was an extra charge, though my laptop connected automatically. I'm still waiting on my bill to see if there was a charge or not. I didn't even know hotels still charged extra for wireless, when I can get free wireless at my local coffee shop. The hotel also has a policy where they enter and clean your room even if you have the do not disturb sign on the door. This is disturbing on many levels. As I am a police officer, I often travel with some of the tools of my trade, and always hang the sign on my door. I feel my privacy and the safety of the cleaning staff were not respected at all.

I was in Cambridge for a couple of conferences, and the Royal Sonesta provided convenient and comfortable lodging for 5 nights. The staff was friendly and helpful. I arrived quite early in the morning the first day and was given a room fairly quickly (within an hour). The location, on the Charles River and right across from a mall, was convenient. I was able to borrow a bike from a friend and ride along the river to my conference sites. Bikes are available for free from the hotel, but only Thursday to Sunday. The only annoyance was that the soundproofing needs improvement. The first couple of nights I stayed in a connecting room, and I could hear everything that was going on in the next room. I was able to switch to a non-connecting room, but I could still hear noises in the hall quite easily. I needed ear plugs to sleep without disturbance. Otherwise, the rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. Free internet connection was also a plus. The hotel provided a lot of free amenities. I wish I had more time to take advantage of them.

Reception staff was friendly and helpful. Grounds a little sparse. Sonesta is a very comfortable business hotel for the traveler visiting both Cambridge and Boston. Rooms are pleasant, spacious and clean. There did not appear to be much to do for children, although it is close to the science museum. The hotel is not quite within walking distance of MIT or Harvard or Park Street and the traffic is heavy. Plan to travel by cab.

Great facilities - especially the large heated pool and good gym. Friendly, helpful staff. Easy access to the T (subway).

This hotel was great. The front desk staff were friendly, the food was great, the room sevice was speedy. The gym was also well-equipped. I enjoyed it -- plus, it's near Cambridge Side Gallleria and a 15-minute walk from the redline T and a 2-minute walk from the Green line.

The staff was always friendly and helpful. Our room on the top floor had a beautiful view of the Charles River and the Boston skyline. If we return to Boston we will certainly plan to stay at the Royal Sonesta. Ed/Atlanta

AMAZING hotel!!!! Particularly in the summer, Royal Sonesta has fantastic "extras" such as a complimentary afternoon cruise along the River, complimentary shuttle into downtown Boston, complimentary ice cream and bike rentals!!! Located across the street from a great mall, and steps away from the subway station!

For a breathtaking view of an amazing city, amazing customer service, comfy beds, and food I highly recommend the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Boston.I was only there for one evening, however I would have been comfortable staying a whole week.

this hotel focuses on service rather than trying to extract the maximum amout of revenue from their guests.they have so many extras at no charge, internet, bicycles, boats and shuttles to all boston landmarks.i plan on revisting the property this year thank you orbitz

Location was great! We felt the restaurant located in the hotel was highly over-rated and too expensive. Your entire staff was very accommodating and we enjoyed our hotel room. Hope to return in the near future. Thanks!

Stayed here during a conference in Boston. Pleasant and quiet. Boston is Expensive! and this hotel is, I think, in the middle of the pack. Some mix-up at the desk when I was checking out at 5:00a.m. Trying to charge me for mini-bar items I didn't use and unable to give me a receipt for room charge. Maybe got charged to someone else's CC.

Satisfactory. Staff not very friendly and accomodating especially when it comes to shuttle service.
