I will tell you what, there was no better service than this place. We have been to a lot of All-Inclusive resorts, and this was the best! Room was great, service was awesome and the food was good too! So if you want to go somewhere and have a great time, especially with the family, go here! We loved it so much we bought a time share!!

Perhaps my first mistake was my idea that because of the expense of this hotel (quite expensive for 2 nights) and because it was in a Developing Country, it would be nice. This was not the case. I was traveling with my spouse and our first impression was a good one. We easily parked our car in the hotel's free parking and entered the nice and spacious lobby (though it was filled with kids running around and a fair amount of people). We quickly checked in. The view of the swimming pool, grounds, and ocean from the lobby is lovely so our first impression was very good. Then we took the elevator to the lobby and made the long walk down the hall. We had a room with one king bed and a partial ocean-view. The view was the best thing. Upon opening the door, the room felt very musty, very stuffy, and quite warm. The sheets on the bed were rough and the bed was hard. The bathroom had no bathtub, the bathroom tile had lots of mildew, the limp towels were grayish with dirt (certainly not a crisp white and not fluffy in the least!!!), there was a long, dark hair on the counter near the sink, as well as gross unidentified substances on the bathroom floor and wall near the toilet. The dim fluorescent lighting throughout the bedroom and bathroom was terrible. We quickly put on our bathing suits to escape our depressing room. The grounds are nice. The pool can be crowded though there was a small quiet pool that was less crowded. The swim-up bar is nice, but the drinks are served in tiny plastic Dos Equis cups. The food buffets were disgusting for lunch and snack times. The only good food was at the Italian Restaurant Marco Polo. Make your reservations early as the restaurant is very small and fills up fast. However, the food and service were absolutely EXCELLENT. Some of the best we had in our two-week trip in the Baja!! The breakfast buffet was large and decent--though they'd run out of popular items like French Toast, omelet fixings, and pancakes before we arrived to eat breakfas

The hotel was very clean - the bathrooms and floors were constantly being cleaned. The rooms were very clean as well. I thought that the breakfast and lunch could have been kept a little warmer, but overall these were the best meals. The snack bar was great as an in between meal. I felt that the dinner menu was always very "out there". It always had a spin on something that I felt fell sort of the mark as far as tasting goes. I have been to several resorts - I think that the resorts may need to just be simple, elegant vs. odd mixtures. The drinks were great - I suggested larger cups. Overall the experience was a good one. If you looking to lay in the sun and enjoy beverages or splash in the pool and relax these can be done without a problem. Special note: There are men and women selling items like necklaces, dresses, and such items on the beach. If you wish to avoid being bothered daily then you should probably stay around the pool area. The sea of Cortez does have a very strong current. You can go into the water and cool off - however you will also get a large amount of sand in your bathing suit. Seriously, it was a good place to stay. Food wasn't their strong suit. Also - this is a timeshare establishment. I wasn't bothered much, but I believe some of the older adults were pestered. The timeshare guest do have extra events such as dining experiences, activities, and parties.

The people who take care of traveling at this resort and do the time share are the worst people I've ever met. They claimed that we didn't book ahead of time so it wasn't free for us. However, I did book ahead of time they guy even took away my confirmation e-mail that it was free. When we complained to the hotel people all they did was say they we got scammed. How can your own workers scam your costumers? That's just down right wrong. And then they told us they will give us a free ride back to the airport, THE RIDE BACK IS SUPPOSE TO BE FREE ANYWAYS WHATS THE DIFFERENCE. So we told them to give us a free ride and they started to laugh at us and talk about our stupidity in Spanish as if we didn't understand them. The reviews are right. If you don't have a timeshare and you aren't some member then they really are daring enough to treat your like crap. And on top of that the people who do get timeshares and are members sometimes they treat the workers there like crap. All in all, the location was nice and but people as a whole at this place was crap. I normally am never picky about vacation places. There's always going to be something that goes wrong one way or another, but this was so bad I really couldn't even wait to leave the resort. If you are young they will rip you off like no tomorrow. Don't go here.

my wife and i went here on are honeymoon. The resort is beautiful and my favorite thing overall was the service. anything you need they are there and ready to provide. the food great for dinner you have two diffrent restraunts to choose from mexican and italian both of witch we enjoyed, breakfast and lunch however are buffets with large amounts of food that is not as good but def still edible. the pool is amazing, but make sure you try to get some chairs saved with a towel on it before you go to breakfast because they go fast. drinks are great, if you do not like them too strong make sure you ask. there are plenty of games and stuff to doo in the pool throughout the day and lots of great dinner shows at night. they have great dancers that had a show 3 out of the 4 nights we were there. i would say the best thing we invested in was massages on the beach dont worry about getting ripped off there those were the best massages we have ever had and we paid 65 for my wife and i to both get a one hour massage. there are two massage tents on the beach one pink the other tan. we did the tan one and like i said i was shocked how amazing it was, u can also talk them down on there prices! as far as shopping goes we just took a taxi to san jose cabo witch is only a few miles the taxi was 5 dollars each way and there is shopping for just about anything. we did not eat outside of the resort but if your wanting to the resort always has good suggestions. and about tips it does not really change the service if you tip. the service always remains great but after you go there its hard not to tip people that treat u that good. especially panchos witch is the mexican restraunt in the resort the service there was by far the best i have ever had. also room service is available but u do have to pay a 5 dollar delivery service so u might as well order a several items. Overall i would def. recomend this resort it was very fun!

Friendly staff and fun atmosphere. Pushed timeshare sales and did not have football games on TV. Royal Solaris was a very nice hotel with good rooms. The staff was friendly and available. Plenty of food and drinks (including alcohol) at all times free to those staying there. They did try to sell me a timeshare and they didn't have American sports on TV. Overall a very nice place with fun activities. I had a nice time there.

This was our first time staying at an all inclusive resort and the Royal Solaris exceeded our expectations.Friendly and helpful staff always ready to assit you in anyway they can.The food was good and you had a wide variety to choose from.Great ocean front property we even seen whales breaching not to far from shore. This is a time share so you will be apporached by their representives but if you insist that your not interested they will leave you alone. However you will get some perks if you listen to their presentation. We enjoyed our stay and will book this hotel again.

If you just want to rest and relax it's a perfect location. Very clean and friendly staff. Too far away from cabo san lucas, for night life and fine dining. The food was average at best... Remember folks all inclusive resort does not mean Tip Included. These guys work hard and very long hours to make your stay enjoyable !!!

Everything, but particularly the meals, was excellent. Buffets were particularly good. Gourmet restaurants were good, but could have been better in relation to their gourmet pretensions.

I have stayed at this resort four times. Our anniversary was in June and they went above and beyond for us. (Champagne, fruit, balloons in our room). The staff is so friendly and personable. The food and drinks are great with a lot of variety. The italian restaurant is first class. On our return visit the employees remembered our names! We will not even consider staying anywhere else.

Overall our experience was good. The Resort is beautiful and clean with a lot of security. Exchange your money to pesos, because when you use us money they do not give you the exchange rate in most stores. The room was clean but the beds were extremely hard. I requested extra blankets for a matress pad and they accommodated us. Also you have a refrigerator stocked daily with 6 cans of pop or beer and 4 water bottles. We requested our fravorite soda and it was stocked everyday with it. The beach was beautiful but no swimming, which was ok because the pool was perfect. No sauna, it was broken and no hot jacuzi outside. There was a hot jacuzi inside the spa open from 7-7 daily. The food was ok. A lot of Mexican dishes, no steak or lobster unless you ate in the resturants and paid extra, not included. The location is very quiet at night. We were in bed early every night but up early to enjoy the sun. If you want a quiet beach and hotel this is for you. If you want the night life stay in Cabo. We took a taxi to Santa Maria Beach and brought our own snorkels it was 25.00 for the taxi one way. We had the beach to ourselves for most of the morning then a few tours arrived on boats but didn't stay long. There are no facilities, just a port a potty. But the snokeling was great a lot of fish and calm water in a beautiful bay. There is a local bus to go into san jose cabo, which is a small town with shops. Worth a visit if you like to shop with no pressure. Walk on the beach to the natural Bird Sanctury,

We just returned from this hotel and definitely will not return to this resort. First of all BEWARE, it's a time share. We didn't know this, as the Apple website does not mention this in their description of the hotel. If we had known we would have picked another resort. When we checked in we were told to meet with the "concierge" which is a time share salesperson. After an extremely long day of traveling all we wanted to do was check in, go to our room and then hit the beach. Well after an hour of high pressure sales we finally got free. Needless to say, we weren't interested. If we were to join a time share it would definitely be a nicer place than this! The "members" are favored across the board. If you don't have a yellow wrist band (aka, you're a "member") , you are treated as second class. Segregation is alive and well at the Royal Solaris! The only positive thing I can say is that the staff are great. The maids, bartenders, waiters are all very friendly and hard working people. The resort is kept very clean as well. This hotel really needs to be a members only resort. That way, unsuspecting travelers won't be blindsided.

We loved walking on the beach and the service was great. Since we did not belong to the time share we had a hard time getting reservations to the resturants unless we wanted to dine at 9:30 pm. The room was very clean and the bed was very hard. Very relaxing. We got a little tired of the buffet style eating for dinner, but the rest was OK.

Everything was just like the description. We had a wonderful time. Don't let the welcome person sign you up for the timeshare tour. We said no and it lasted 3 hours. Eat before you go (you've already paid for it) and tell them just to get started with the tour. It will cut down the time (if you choose to go). Make sure that you have your transportation arranged before you get to the airport. Crooks will try to take advantage of you by stopping you on your way out of the airport to arrange for expensive transportation. Hotel about a 15 minute ride from airport.

Well to start off the beds are HARD AS ROCKS. I knew this going in from other reviews but thought how bad could it be - trust me it was bad - but i read the same about other properties with higher prices. The food was good. Lunch had two options everyday both buffets, one american--dogs, burgers, etc., the other varied each day but had good variety. The nightly entertainment was a nice effort but OH MY, lets just say the kids around us enjoyed it. The staff was friendly but not overly once they discovered we had no other jobs besides moms and were not timeshare purchase candidates. This hotel is located close to the airport but far away from the activies in downtown los cabo. In a nut shell this is a good place if you plan to just relax and not do much sightseeing. A taxi to the marina area where all the action/tours are costs $35 dollars each way for up to four people. These are regulated by the government so there is no deal making. In my opinion if you are not a big drinker or eater look at a property closer to the activities that is not all-inclusive. There are tons of places to eat/drink at reasonable prices around the marina area. FYI -- there is only one nightly buffet option for dinner the other two places REQUIRE reservations despite what it says online, and those res. can only be made between 9 and 10am daily and if you are able to get one they are late ie. after 7:30pm. Please note that the food at the buffet was better than the restaurants. Just a note we did feel safe traveling alone here. I wouldn't stay again only because of the beds.
