We stayed in a Deluxe Suite for 10 days and had a marvelous visit. The staff is friendly and helpful. Location is good, and they provide transportation via the hotel's tuk-tuk to the Skytrain. Breakfast is very good and convenient. Our suite was spacious and clean. The package we purchased included in-room Internet and breakfast for two for under $70. (US) per night. We were very pleased.

I had 2 wondeful nights; the room was quiet, clean, roomy, with modern facilities, a good restaurant (if you choose wisely), a sunny breakfast and what I saw as very charming staff. That is, until my last morning when I was due to leave by taxi to Pattaya. It was then that someone tried to steal an article of clothing from a brown paper bag that I had left with the bell boy for just a few minutes to go to the toilet. This thief is no desperate pick-pocket but a real pro.! He managed to carefully tear the top of the paper bag from one end to the other, at the back, while leaving just enough paperto hold the top so that it would not come off. In fact, I only noticed when I got to Pattaya. I think he was attempting to steal shirts, but only got hold of a plastic covering for the coat I had bought! I guess the laugh is on him, although this is no laughing matter! I have already informed the hotel management and they are very apologetic and promise to look into it soon and do what they can. How I wish this had not happened! The hotel management strike me as honest hard-working people, but if I keep silent other guests could be victims. Be that as it may, The Royal President is a very good hotel in an central part of Bangkok, a historic, beautiful and intense city.

Room photos were not even close to what i recieved. Elevator did not always work. Many lights in room not working. TV had poor picture. I had Jr. suite and have had many standard rooms better than this suite. Staff was great, food was great, location was good but room needs work.

The location is great, just 5-10mins walk from Asoke Station, safe to walk back even in the late nights as the street of Sukhumvit is still rowdy. The hotel staff services is friendly and approachable but the room quality needs upgrading. The bed & pillow sheets are stained and needs changing on the 1st day we checked in.

A group of 4 of us booked a 2-bedroom service apartment directly with the Royal President for 4D3N over the V'Day weekend. Our package deal of THB4,099nett (approx. USD118) per room per night included (i) one-way complimentary airport transfer (ii) daily breakfast for 4pax (iii) complimentary in-room internet access (iv) complimentary late check-out. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly received and welcomed by the GM, Mr M. As our flight arrival was 8:30am, we had prior arrangements with Mr. M for an early check-in. And although there was no promise on his part (as early check-in is subject to room availability), when we arrived at 10am, the rooms were ready. Even the check-in process at the reception were done quickly and efficiently, all within a matter of 10mins or less, which left me totally impressed. Upon entering into the room, we were further impressed by the well lit area and the spaciousness of the apartment. Though the furniture looks slightly dated, the whole place was very well maintained, totally spotless, and clean. From the photographs on the website what you see is what you'll get. As all our 4-5 luggages were handled by the porters upon our arrival, they were being sent up to the room within 2 mins. after we stepped in the room. Such was the service efficiency we experienced. Tuck away from the main Sukhumvit area along a quieter street of Soi 15, it makes moving around very convenient; about 5mins walk to the main street of Sukhumvit Rd, where the main shopping thoroughfare is, and another 5mins walk to the Asoke BTS or Sukhumvit MRT stations. Although Royal President has a tuk-tuk serivce to take its guests to the main street, it seems to us that it's quite difficult to hail for the service as we learnt that the one and ony tuk-tuk is always heavily used to shuttle the guests out. Each time when tuk-tuk is out and we missed it, we were told we would have to wait for another 10mins before it returns. So we'd rather take a 10mins walk out instead. That's no big deal, a small inconvenient that we were able to put up with. Throughout our stay, we only manage to flag down the tuk-tuk once. For the rest of the times, we chose to walk. As BKK is very warm, taking a 10min walk under the scourging sun can be a challenge, so just ensure you get your SPF sunblock, brolly, hat, sunglass, and whatever handy. Part of our package deal included late check-out at 4pm (I would assume it was also subject to room availability), and since our as our departing flight was at 8:10pm, Mr M. had kindly taken the initiative to let us have the room till 5pm. Overall, I am really impressed with the level of services at Royal President, its management and staff for allowing so much flexibility and taking those extra steps to make their guests/customers feel important and welcome. For the price and the location, this is probably one of the best hotels I've stay with in BKK over the years. The deal we had was value for money without a doubt. I would definitely recommend my family, relatives, and friends to stay at the Royal President. I would personally go back again when I next visit BKK.

Room not cleaned and we left at 8 Am and returned about 2PM. Told I should have asked to have it cleaned. When I did not accept that told they only have one maid to 20 rooms so how did I expect them to keep up. Will not stay again 4 star prices and a 3 star place.

This was my first trip to Asia and this hotel was quite what I needed. It is close to shopping, a 3 ride to the bigger shopping malls, and is very centrally located to all the clubs. Security was excellent, service was the best I have ever had in a hotel and the staff was extremely accommodating. They really go the extra mile for their guests. The hotel is a 50 taxi ride from the airport by BMW limo, much cheaper by bus. They have a good gym with treadmill, and full universal gym and free weights. The room was a good size with microwave oven, clean and spacious bathroom, and excelent ventilation and air conditioning systems. The food was good with continental breakfast suited for all tastes. I would surely stay here again.

The room was quite nice. We liked having a fridge in our room in which to put drinks. The hotel offered a buffet breakfast, but it was pretty expensive. It was in a great location--very near the Asoke Sky Train station. The hotel is off the busy main street, but there was construction going on across the parking lot, so it got noisy early in the morning. The rooms were clean and comfortable--which is the most important thing for tired travelers.
