Location of Hotel is excellent - very centralized with walking distance to tourist sites. Have a great view of the Acropolis at the Rooftop terrace. The only shortfall is without any coffee/tee making facilities in the room.

The Royal Olympic Hotel in Athens is conveniently located one block from the subway, walking distance to just about everything in Athens. The hotel itself is very handsome with a beautiful pool area, very inviting for either a swim or sitting and lounging around it in their very comfortable chairs. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and the waiters cheerfully kept coming around with coffee. The room was very nice with the balcony looking over the pool.

Excellent location, cleanliness and courteous staff. This hotel exceeded my expectations. We were warmly greeted by the doorman and quickly ushered to the check in desk. The desk clerk was warm, friendly and courteous, which continued throughout our stay. We had arrived early by two hours, well before check in, but experienced no delay whatsoever in being shown to our room. The room was lovely, clean and spacious. It looked exactly like the pictures shown on the website. The location could not have been more perfect. The hotel is directly across the street from the Temple of Zeus. We were within a few steps of Plaka, and a short pleasant walk to the Acropolis. The only cab I took in two days was from the airport and to our cruise ship. The hotel's location made it possible to walk everywhere. It is also very close to a subway station so going to places like the amazing Museum was easy and affordable. I would definitely stay at this hotel again, and will recommend it to my friends. Also the top floor is undergoing some renovation to add a rooftop restaurant. With the hotels amazing location this will be a real bonus in the future.

The reception hall is luxurious but the rooms and service are standard. You will find nothing more than in other hotels...So I would say this is not really good value for money...

5 star prices for a Motel 6 room. Stayed 3 nights in October and was very disappointed. Front desk staff snotty and dismissive. Left tip for maid with requests (robe/extra towels/ice); requests granted one day with tip being taken 2 days. Waited 15 minutes for bell man on day of check-out and no one ever did respond. Free breakfast just so-so. I won't be staying at this hotel again.

Great location, fantastic breakfast, beatiful lobby, pool was lovely. Bed was aweful, shower impossible to use without covering the floor with water. Great location. Great breakfast. Staff was snobby, room was the smallest I'd ever seen at this star level. 2 single beds pushed together, but they were made up as 2 singles instead of using a bottom sheet that would cover both. Shower curtain did not reach the side of the tub, so you could not shower without soaking the marble floor (which then became a ridiculous slip hazard).

The location was great, the atmosphere was wonderful and the service outstanding. There was nothing we did not like. We loved the decor, the cleanliness, the wonderful personnel and in the evenings in the lovely pool area they had piano music for the people who were sitting around the area with friends sipping on their drinks.

"We stayed at the Royal Olympic for 6 nights and had a wonderful time. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, one of the nicest hotels that I have stayed. The only complaint that I have is that when our flight was canceled and we returned to the hotel, homeless, the hotel wanted to charge us over $400.00 per night to stay additional days until we could return to America. I thought that they should have been more accomidating due to the fact we had spent the entire past week at their hotel."

"We stayed at this hotel for 8 days using it as out base in Greece. It is really close to the Acropolis, Plaka, subway, etc., and 1/2 block to many rental car agencies. Staff loaned us a free laptop to do email all week. They were very helpful in setting up side day trips, etc. Breakfasts are great. We would stay there again in a heartbeat."

"Perfect hotel to stay in during the Athens Marathon - 1/2 mile from the finish, across the street from the Temple of Zeus, and close to the Plaka, metro and tram! The staff was WONDERFUL and the room was nicely furnished and clean. The beds were a bit firm, but that is often the case is Europe...the only detractor was the occasional noise from an adjacent club."
