The clerk took us to all the rooms we needed to see to find two suitable rooms. There was mildew in the shower and the main building is dilapidated. We were late booking rooms for the Western Heritage Classic and this was the only hotel I could find a vacancy. When we arrived we were assigned our two rooms. The key to one of the rooms was missing and they didn't know where it was. They said they would make a key. We opted for different rooms and they took us to their special guest rooms. One of them the air conditioner that never cycled off and the other had mildew in the shower tile.

Overall our stay here was excellent all the way around. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. The location was perfect for our needs. We will stay here again. Thank you.

This was the worse hotel I have ever stayed in. We decided to stay over night, and not drive home. This hotel was filthy. There was even blood on the matress where it looked like someone had been shot. The dividing partician had holes in it. The beds were matresses on cinderblocks. There were people outside the door, and were so scary I didn't want to enter the room. I didn't sleep all night becasue there were parties going on in both rooms beside me. When I called the front desk, they told me it was my problem. The lighting was so bad that outside there was more light at night. DON'T WALK ON THE FLOOR WITH BARE FEET. There was glass and other sticky stuff on the floor. There were also mice and cockroaches. Needless to say we didn't stay long. I will never stay here again.

We did not like this hotel at all. The check in area was very nice, but once you get to the room that is a whole other story. It reminded me of a holtel out of a horror movie. I did not feel as those if my spouse was to leave I could stay there by myself. I was very glad that we had decided to take our own towels, the towels provided were very questionable. Needless to say we will not be using this service again.

Location. Disgusting. I have stayed at this hotel before. The first time wasn't too bad, and being that it was located right down the street from where I was going to be, I thought I'd stay there again. The second time was horrible. There was no toilet paper, nor were there tissues. The bath towels, although apparently had been washed, were grungy and stained. I will never stay in a one-star hotel again. I would have rather slept in my vehicle.

This was by far the worst experience that I have had at a hotel. Let's start with the bed, the sheets were dirty as well as stained, the pillows were completely flat, and the bed cover had cigarette burns in it. The bathroom wasn't much better, the floor was dirty, the bathtub hadn't been cleaned in quite some time, and the toilet seat was too small for the toilet. The room looked as if it had bodily fluids all over the walls next to the bed. The door had been previously kicked in and repaired. They advertised a continental breakfast which consisted of packaged sticky buns, mini powdered doughnuts, generic fruit loops, coffee, and some spoiled fruit. The best part of the whole experience was that the employees were pleasent and helpful. I wouldn't reccomend this hotel to ANYONE!!

Price. Old, musty smelling. This hotel met my expectations for what I was paying for.

I have been staying at the Royal Inn in Abilene for many years. It is an excellent place to stay. The staff is friendly and the service is excellent. It is a great falue for the money with clean, comfortable rooms. I plan to continue staying here when I am in the area. Thank you.

The staff. We went out on Saturday only to come back to our room to find out that the bedding had all been stripped and not replaced, the staff said they could not get us any bedding and the only choices we had were to pack our stuff move rooms or sleep in that room with no bedding. I spoke with someone about this the next day and he was rude and totally out of line. I will never go back to that hotel.

Checked on Friday, April 25th, 2008. The room with filthy and smelled like mildew and stale cigarettes. The shower had mold and the toilet had dead bugs in it. 20 minutes later, I was at the front desk asking for a refund for a two night stay. The manager gave me a full refund. Less than a month later I had a charge on my credit card, for a date that I was not at the hotel. Several calls to the manager/owner (with promises from him to check in to the matter) resulted in no call back to resolve the unauthorized charge!

Cheap. Rooms are large. Minifridge/microwaves in the rooms. Dirty. Run down. Creepy. Trashy. I felt I needed a shower after checking out. It took checking into four different rooms before we found one that everything worked and the bed was at least made. I didn't expect much, so I wasn't all that disappointed. I recommend it if your only choice is falling asleep while driving or staying here.

Room was spacious. Outdated, broken, not safe, noisy, not well kept. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room, while spacious, appeared to have not been redecorated in about 40 years. The front sign was broken out, and there was no deadbolt on the exterior door. Neighborhood and clientele appeared somewhat questionable.

Nothing. Unsafe, unkempt, and outdated This hotel had police action, unfriendly, no helpful staff, poor hours for front desk and restaurant service. This was a hotel used as residence for many of the guests.

Spacious room is the only thing. Bad location, poor upkeep, outdated, and most of all over-rated.

"I had to kill a roach over my bed when I walked in. The rug was filthy, with holes as were the upholstered chairs. The hanging light was missing bulbs, the glass shades that were there were broken. I was woken at 3:30 AM to a MOUSE joining me in my bed and on my pillow, also nightstand. I packed up and went to the office demanding my money back but told since I had been there since 8:25 PM I wasn't entitled to a refund!! I then had to sleep in my car until the AM since I was not going to pay for another room at a DECENT motel since I had a job interview the next morning!! ."
