Room was very spacious but I found the staff to be not be particularly friendly. The location is excellent and also the price for the room.

An excellent place to saty with a bus stop outside the hotel and an MRT station (Newton) withing walking distance as was Newton circus (food) hawker centre. The staff were very courteous and check-in at 3.00am was quick. The only reason that facilities have only been rated "good" was because we could not use them all. The beds were very comfortable.

Foyer and dining room were nice, bathroom was clean and modern but the rest of the room was dated and grotty. Close to station as stated, but get a taxi from airport if you have large luggage (Only $20aus from airport via taxi). Breakfast was very nice. Not bad for the price, but if you can afford to stay closer to Orchard Rd, it would be more convenient for sightseeing etc.

Hotel Royal is a pretty decent tourist hotel. It's reasonably priced (for Singapore) and the location is fairly central. The service was very good.

Hotel Royal is conveniently located under 5 min walk to Novena LRT and Velocity Shopping Mall, and the price was very reasonable. I would stay there again.

The prices of the beverages were quite high, a cup of tea costs as much as 5 SGD and a small bottle of mineral water as well. While understanding the catergory of the hotel, I suggest they should reduce the prices to an acceptale extent. The Service in the breakfast room was real good and the staff was very friendly. The buffet breakfast was of a good quaity

For a four star hotel, the room pricing is a bargain. But with leaked ceilings & not very pleasant attitude from their supposed 'best employee of the month', I'd rather pay more elsewhere.

We stayed here on transit between Europe and Australia. It was perfectly comfortable but unspectacular. The service was good. Its a bit away from the main shopping area but the proximity bto Newton Circus is a bonus. The pricing was good

Good Location, close to Novena MRT and bus stop. Newton Hawker market is around 800meter down the road and Orchard rd a few bus stops away.

Never again. 4 star hotel!?? joking. very old fashion hotel. This hotel needs serious renovations/upgrades or down graqde the rating! Room size was ok but the bathroom was very small. Furnitures in the room was just too old. Fingerprints on the windows and millor. Very surprising too see rubber thongs instead of clean room slippas. Bathroom amenities very basic. The buffet breackfast restaurant was the worst. The buffet counters were dirty, plastic plates and cups were used. I'm plased that I left this hotel after over night stay, I had to move to other 4 star hotel which was more reasnable.

we found this hotel to be one of the best for location. right out the front are buses to take you to orchard road for just 1 singapore dollar. and to train is just a 5 minute walk. the staff are very helpful did not have a nice breakfast buffet but if thats the only thing thatsnothing, iwould recomend anyone to stay,
