We were limited in our choice of where to stay, and had no idea what this place would be like. We found it to be a charming building with welcoming, helpful staff. The atmosphere was extremely friendly. This is somewhere we would definitely stay again.

Bargain room in a lovely settingWe grabbed a real bargain here . The room was faultless and the setting was gorgeous too. The only fault was the food. The menu was average pub grub which was a little disappointing but the quality was much worse. It was hot, but the Sunday roast consisited of packet mash potato! this was a shame as it did put me off staying there again, although at £25 a room i shouldn't grumbe, just take a picnic and enjoy the views.

Hotel ReviewThe hotel was ideal for the needs of the business, clean, friendly, good parking and availability of food if required. It ticked all the boxes and we would have no hesitation using it again (as we have done previousley).

We were a group of friends walking the Cotswolds Way. The Royal George is conveniently sited for that footpath. It is an old country inn, considerably extended. We received a warm welcome, and found our rooms to be covenient, clean, and confortable, a friendly place to spend the evening. However we can find nothing good to say about the menu. It is limited in extent, and the food was not of the quality one would expect from a really good hotel.

Royal George BirdlipHotel was very clean and friendly. Laterooms is the way to book. I could not believe the high standard of the room for the price we paid. (24:95) We were so happy with our room we are looking to use this hotel again later in the year.

1 night business tripI had late meetings in Bath, and an early meeting in Gloucester, so really just wanted a clean good value room for the night. And this was fine for that. A large pub-like hotel, busy in the bar area which was a sign of good local support, and rooms were clean and adequate. Good for a late arrival, early departure clean room.

Just disappointed to see (after I had booked with you!!) an advert Old English Inns Spring breaks, which included breakfast for the same price. i.e. it would have been a saving of £28 to have booked with them!!
