Each spring in the mattress poked individually into my hip. The air conditioning was broken, as were the toilet and the minibar. The "view" was of a tiny, airless courtyard. The furniture looked like something purchased at a bad garage sale. The pluses were the location and the friendliness of the staff, but those did not amount to an accurate rating of 4 stars alone!

Rooms a tad small and out dated . Position of Hotel excellent and this is the drawing factor. Prices for drink at Hotel high but this is Paris. Walking distance to all major sight seeing features. Staff very helpful at all times. The only down side was that the Hotel had only one iron and it was a matter oif first in best served.

This hotel has a fantastic location within easy walking distance of thr Eifel Tower, Louve Museum, Trocadero, Concorde and Champs Elysees. Walk out the front door and you are on the arc de triomphe The facilities are basic but clean although not a 4* more of a 2-3*. The staff are very friendly and informative. Would I use the hotel again? Most certainly.

Dear sir/ madam. I picked this hotel specialy becuase it said that they have shuttle service to and from the airport, when I contacted the hotel the night before my arrival as it informed me on the site the hotel receptionist told me that no shuttle,I told him why I choosed that hotel he just kept repeating himself no shuttle. I think this is misrepresentation. He suggest to get a taxi. Also on the check out they want to charge me 150 euro/ night, when I told them that i have the print from the online booking, he told me to wait till the manager arrive at 8 am to speak to him, that was just on my way to the airport. the manager changed the charges on the copmuter to 100 euro/ night as it was I booked it. this means there is no communication between the agency and the hotel management. it was embaressing. The worse thing that they blocked the stair(fire exit) at all times by a new wraped desk on the first floor entrance to the rooms. when my husband mentioned it to the receptionist, they did not take any action and left the desk. On the last day there was a carpet roll between the ground floor and first floor stairs, blocking half the way up and down, when we mentioned it they just ignored the matter and said we in the middle of refurbishing some rooms. Also member of staff opened the door on us at 6pm when I was resting, in bed, I do not think this a good practice to open the door without knocking first, it is rude, very rude. Part from that It was my first ever visit to Paris and I loved Paris, I will be back. But not with Venere, unless you do something about it and I would like to know waht you did?

I have stayed at this hotel twice. Excellent location five minutes from the Arc de Triomphe, easy transfers to the airports by Air France coach. Good restaurants nearby in Place Victor Hugo (try Convivium). Breakfast is a typical continental breakfast with little variety, and we found service in the breakfast room poor this time, but reception staff friendly and helpful. Like many Paris hotels, prices are high for what you get, but for its location it is not the most expensive.

Rooms are small, probably dependent on the price you pay. Staff are helpful and considerate. Some Rooms currently undergoing redecoration. Least expensive room quoted at reception is some 45Euros less than the price quoted at Venere.

the Royal elysees was a very central smart hotel right where i needed it to be as my friend was unable to walk far and the on off tour bus was 100 metres from the hotel. We had a room at the back of the hotel overlooking a derlict building but it was painted like the sky so it was very bright The staff were courteous and friendly. It had a nice bar area to relax after a day outor room service to get coffee or a drink all in all a very good hotel

In common with other Paris hotels it was a little confined but over all I was very happy with what I got for the price I paid. Certainly beats what you get in the UK.

The Royal Elysees Hotel was a great find in Paris. Its location was both central to the main thoroughfare and the metro station which proved very handy for sightseeing. The staff were both friendly and helpful. The rooms although quite small were very clean and quiet and our view of the Arc de Triomphe was a real bonus. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Paris. We will certainly be back to it again!

I felt the hotel was over rated. The rooms were small, bedlinen was old. The main advantage of this hotel is location. It is not luxurious and I do not beleive it should be rated as a four star. I was looking for comforts as well as location. We had a mini bar with one glass, two people sharing. The glass was not replaced the following day and the bedlinen was not changed.
