My girlfriends and I just came back from Panama we stayed at the Royal Decameron for 2 nights. We wish we had stayed there the entire week we were in Panama. The staff were extremely friendly and most did their best to assist you even if you did not speak spanish. The food was fantastic and the rooms were very spacious and clean. There is a lot of walking but if you prefer they have a shuttle service that will take you wherever you want to go. I will definitely be returning.. Fantastic for the entire family or a romantic getaway or just hanging out with friends.

We went in February and it was the best vacation. The hotel had pools and restaurants all over the place. It would be a perfect location for a family vacation. We had good meals at most of the restaurants and the rooms were just fine.

The Decameron is beautiful, clean and fun. Staff is friendly and helpful (particularly when you consider that most of them aren't tipped), but not all of them speak English well. The pools and beaches are great, there are lots of included activities. The tours cost extra, but are fun and worthwhile. I would heartily recommend Panama to any American/Canadian looking for a tropical getaway that's close by but not an over-commercialized tourist trap, and this resort is a great place to spend your time while you're in Panama. You'll be spoiled rotten by the superb, endless food, fruity drinks, and friendly staff. (A word to English-only speakers: If you don't speak a single word of Spanish, you'll have some difficulties with a few of the staff and with just about everyone outside of the resort and Panama City. Also, the nightly included shows are primarily in Spanish, with only token attempts to use English. If you don't speak Spanish, you won't get much out of the shows.)

Excelente lugar para descansar con unas muy buenas instalaciones, buen servicio, lindas playas, buena comida y gran ambiente. Recomendado para todos. Nice place for holidays or just for a weekend getaway. Great facilities, nice service, gorgeous beaches, good food and so others. Recommended for everyone.

We went after hearing great reviews from friends and family who have vacationed there. After our vacation there, they were all right. The hotel is right on the Pacific ocean and has a spectacular view. It was food pretty much non-stop and alcohol. The liquor is not top quality, but was overflowing. My husband and I had such a wonderful trip. They had several big pools, great night shows, pretty good food, lovely specialty restaurants (that you have to make reservations for but it was not hard for us to make reservations for at all), and friendly staff. The only downfall I would say is that if you don't speak spanish, then you are pretty much losted when it comes to communication. Yet, by no means does that mean that you cannot enjoy yourself. We were worried about the language barrier the 1st day we were at the hotel. However, the staff pretty much speaks enough english for you to get by. Keep and open mind basically and you will enjoy every minute. Another downfall is the fact that it is about 90 to 110 minutes from the Tocumen Airport, but if you don't mind the drive then by all means it is fine. We had so much fun and enjoyed the hotel immensly. The price for an all-inclusive vacation was much cheaper than I thought along with the beautiful view. They offer all kinds of excursions for people with all adventure levels. Personally, we took the 2 hour ATV tour. We had so much fun and got a chance to see the locals up close. We loved every minute of it and would go back again when possible. Hope this helped and enjoy your trip/vacation to Panama.

I stayed 2 nights and the room and the service was great. Drink and food were both good. The place is huge, so plan to walk some. Beach is brown sand...nice, but Playa Blanca?? The only downside is the casino...you have to ride a bus or cart to get there and wait for another to take you back or prepare to walk for 30-45 minutes. Casino itself is small and a little dirty and drinks are very hard to get. It also seems more dangerous, as it is not within the complex and I saw no security. I paid $128 a night for the hotel for 2...great all-inclusive value ! Food, drinks, rooms, pools, and beach were all good and I would like to return for a longer stay. I spend 2 more nights in Panama City at the Plaza Paitilla Inn...about $90 a night in a great location and would also recommend this hotel. The views of the Panama Bay and the city are spectacular !

this was my first time in panama after 30 years family memebers wanted to show me a good time for a 1 day I did not have much time to stay long sow this was an excellent one day getaway. I really enjoy my self Iparticipated in the early morning exercise, a walk on the beach,water arobic, the food was good I really had a great time plan to bring my daughter next year.

"We had a blast at the Royal Decameron in Playa Blanca, Panama. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the beach/pool areas were immaculate and beautiful. There were plenty of activities and shows at all times of day or you could simply kick back and relax. Most of the guests are Central or South American so it felt like we were outside of the U.S. and it was fun to speak spanish to other friendly guests and staff. Bring your walking shoes, the resort is enormous and there are no elevators if your room is on the second or third floor."

The hotel was magnificient. The service was great and never ending. The rooms were excellent and the food tasty. The staff very friendly and helpful. The location was quite far from Panama City, but there were lots of tours offered at reasonable prices. They also have a rent-a-car service on site. Casino, spa and just about anything you could wish for.

"It is in the middle of nowhere, so if you plan to party go to Cancun. The tours are okay. But my friend was held up at gun point in the resort coming from the casino. Nobody takes to white people to well there either"
