Description:
Rosemount is an elegant Victorian Lakeland stone house built in 1884. Recently taken over by new owners, it is a warm and friendly house, with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Our beds are crisp and comfortable and our full English breakfasts are extremely tasty particularly the sausages! Guests staying for 2 nights or more will have free use of the Parklands Leisure club, perfect for relaxing after a busy week.Situated a short walk from both Windermere and Bowness-on-Windermere, Rosemount is ideally situated for whatever type of break you fancy. Good restaurants and pubs are within walking distance and for those who fancy a spot of shopping Ambleside is about a 10 minute drive. Rosemount is the perfect place from which to explore Beattrix Potter's home at Hill Top or to take a ride on one of the boats from Bowness Pier. If walking is what you are after you, Langdale Valley is approximately 20 minutes by car, offering ample routes - the only thing you have to decide is how energetic you are feeling! There is parking for 6 cars at the front of the property and for people visiting without a car we are within walking distance of Windermere train station and on the main bus route, so exploring the English Lake District couldn't be easier. A warm welcome awaits you!

A lovely breakVery well run by a lovely couple with lots of excellent information about the local area. Would not hesitate to go back again, would probably stay in a bigger room next time though. Thanks to Rosemount for a lovely break!

A lovely place to staMy partner and I stayed here with our 3 month old baby for 2 nights. The hotel was very nicely decorated and furnished. It was a pleasant ten minute stroll into Windermere (where I would recommend Lazy Daisies for fantastic food and cakes - lovely staff too). We stayed in the four poster room which was very pretty and very bright and airy with lovely big windows. The breakfast was very nice and off a good qulity and as a vegetarian I was offered things not on the menu as alternatives, which was great. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful, offering advice on where to visit. I would definately stay again.

Very Friendly HotelThe owners of the hotel were very friendly and helpful and were always smiling. The breakfast was tasty but not really enough to be described as "full english". The room was clean but I did not feel it was worthy of the price. The location was excellent - only about 10 minutes walk to either Bowness or Windermere. I would go there again

Lovely BnBVery pleasant stay. Courteous, friendly and helpful owners. Wholesome breakfast. Clean and spacious rooms. Single room was a great bonus travelling with elderly mother. Room was well priced, comfortble and welcoming. Good location within walking distance of both Bowness and Windermere.

Lovely accomodationVery friendly from moment of arrival, felt like nothing would be too much trouble for this lovely couple. Room was modern and clean and breakfast was top quality and speedy service too! Only draw back was that it was slightly further away from the lake than had anticipated however, still only a ten minute walk so no real issue.

A last night treatWe stayed at Rosemount on the last night of our two-week break. It was a very welcoming and friendly B&B. We were definitely grateful of being able to lock our bicycles up out of sight from the main road. The room was lovely, very clean and tidy with the usual array of tea/coffee making facilities. Prior to leaving, we had a lovely breakfast with cereals, toast and a cooked breakfast on offer .... the poached eggs on toast come highly recommended.I will definitely be bookmarking Rosemount as a place to stay in the future.

RosemountThe proprioters are very friendly and helpful. The room was great, although the rooms are up quite steep stairs, so might not be suitable for someone with reduced mobility.

Short Break at WindermereWe stayed in one of the smallest rooms there but this did not affect our experience. This B&B is run by a very friendly and helpful couple. The room was clean and tidy and overall the hotel was well presented. We would definitely stay there again.

A warm welcomeA friendly warm welcome received by the young couple who run this hotel, who are only too pleased to help. Good cooked English breakfast made from local products. If the hotel is full then parking in front of the hotel could be a problem, but there appears to be spaces opposite the hotel. Only 15 mins walk into Bowness on Windermere. Good value for money , with the biggest compliment i can give that if staying in Windermere again I would look for accommodation at this hotel first.

The proprietor was very friendly and enthusiastic person who couldn't do enough to help make you feel more welcome - Room was nice and clean having just been refurbished and painted. Easy to find and situated in a good location within walking distance from Lake Wimdermere and the shops. On site parking available was small but adequate. Breakfast was fantastic and will set you up for the day. Rosemount is a quiet Hotel suitable for couples of all ages. I would surgest the Hotel is ideal for both short as well as long breaks. All in all it was excellent value for money. I've not stayed in many B and B's but would definately recommend \"the Rosemount\" and will if possible be returning soon! Thank you for a most relaxing weekend.

Very welcoming and excellent family room.Easy to find and just a short walk from the town centre with numerous restaurants. Rooms extremely clean, lovely thick towels, smart flat screenTV/DVD player. Yummy breakfast. Family room worked well for 4 but would be perfect for 3 as single bed is in a separate ante-room. Appreciated the off-road parking space in this busy town. Owners friendly and informative. Would use again when next visit the Lake District.
