The Hotel Rose Garden was fairly easy to find, however you do need to switch a couple of train lines if you're coming from the airport or Tokyo Station. Overall, it was good value for the money and a close to shopping areas. I would stay here again.

The location and the staff were great! The hotel was a short walk from the busy station and very close to a very busy night area. many restaurants and coffee places were around. The room itself was small, comparing to any American rooms, but very clean, cozy and the amenities were great!

My girlfriend and I made a last minute decision to go to Tokyo for New Year's Eve. We booked the hotel online, picking it strictly by price. The hotel was exactly where the location said it was, right next to the Nishi-Shinjuku subway stop. The staff was outstanding and efficient, quickly booking us into our room. The room was clean and in very good condition with an apply equipped bathroom that was equally clean and functional. Staff was very helpful with arranging for a taxi, providing directions, and helping coordinate reservations at a restaurant we wanted to try. Will definitely stay here again the next time I come to Tokyo.

Very nice Japanese business hotel. I stayed alone and found my time there to be fine. Only possible complaint I can register is that the tv has no english language channel. But, that hardly counts against my stay overall.

Hotel is in very convenient location, only 1 block away from a major subway (metro) station and in walking distance to the heart of the city's Business and Entertainment center, Shinjuku. I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the room, very well maintained. A nice flat panel HDTV, internet connection in the room, steam ironing device etc... although room is small for American standards. Front desk folks were extremely polite and helpful. Most of them speaking average English. The only thing missing in the room was a Coffee machine. Also, breakfast is not included (as in most Japanese hotels I guess). In fact there are many places nearby to dine, so that was okay.... I highly recommend this hotel for any foreigner, nice place to stay for the money that you spend... Arigato ! Hakan

Friendly staff, very clean hotel, ideal location 10 mins walk from the busy streets of Shinjuku but in a relativetly quiet area. Right next to Nishi Shinjuku station.

Staff werent particularly friendly, but they were not rude either. The aircon did not work at night, so it was really warm to sleep in. However, the good price and the location was worth it I guess! The room was not small for Japanese standards

This hotel is recommended for the price in Shinjuku area. The small room is very clean, it is about 5- 10 min walk from the crowds. I would go back for the next trip to Shinjuku.

Excellent location, relatively small rooms, noisy air conditioning (at least in my room), the lobby strongly smells of cigarette smoke.

We had a double room with only one bed and the room was very small. The area was perfect as it was one step away from the subway and in an area where there was plenty to do. I would go back to this hotel but would make sure I had a larger room.

I will definitely stay there again: brilliant location (quiet side of Shinjuku), great room (twin bedroom) and very friendly staff. English speaking TV channels would have been welcome, but there is so much to do in Shinjuku and beyond that it did not matter in the end.

*Very close to a station - literally 2 minutes walk from Nishi-Shinjuku station, which is a stop after Shinjuku on Tokyo Metro Marunouchi line. Very good for lugging your shopping!!! *Single room is small but has enough space for you to walk around the room without bumping into anything. *Usual facilities included (shower, bathtub, Western toilet with Japanese flush, shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, fridge, kettle, tea, TV, iron, hair dryer). Consistent with its name, the shampoo, etc smells like roses. *Walkable distance to Tokyo Metropolitan Government building. *KinkosFX, 7-11 and Post Office about 3 minutes walk from hotel.
