A load of rubbishThis is up there in my list of worse hotels I have stayed in, while waiting to check in we had to wait for the receptionist to deal with 2 separate complaints, then the credit card payment machine was not working and the receptionist wanted me to go to the bank so I could pay cash, (I said no) got into the room it was very basic, a tiny tv miles away from the bed, no milk for a drink (had to go shop to get milk)Getting ready to go out no hot water, shower rubbish, no toiletaries, a soap dispenser that dropped to bits and a mirror 8ft high couldnt see a thing.Out side our window looked like a building site, with rubble, rubbish and a old carpet piled up.noisy in the mornin with people making there breakfast in a small kitchen area just outside our room.on leaving we had to wait again as the receptionist delt with another complaint and a refund.will not be returning to the roscoe house.

We booked a room for 3 people through LateRooms but when we arrived there was only a room for 1 person available and we had to pay for an additional room. There were no towels in the room and after asking twice and being given hand towels instead we finally got our towels. The hotel is close enough to walk to everything in Liverpool though which is what we really wanted, and they had a good shower.

Great hidden find! This hotel was great, Georgian property so massive rooms - liked the fact that this hotel isn't advertised outside adds to the mysteriousness!

MixedSpacious, quiet room, friendly staff, comfortable bed, good linen. lacked attention to detail; had to request towels and they were damp when they came, loo roll holder fell off when used, tea/coffee old and stale. Otherwise, good value for money at central location.

Pretty goodMy room was not ready when I got there and they had no toilet for me to use in the meantime. The television in the room did not work but otherwise the room was very big and the bed was nice.

recent stayWe booked the hotel a matter of hours prior to staying. It appeared to be a really good deal 46.95 for a £295 room. The room was pretty good value for what we paid. I would have been greatly disappointed to have paid the full price as there weren't any toiletries not even a bar of soap and you had to run the shower for quite some time before it got warm, but we had a lovely spacious bathroom. . Large comfy bedroom room, however no mirror in the bedroom and staff not at all helpful when I asked for one. We also had no milk for our drinks facilities. All in all the location was pretty good, five min walk from bars and nightlife and 10 mins walk to Albert Dock.

I've stayed in a number of Liverpool city apartments with different companies. This was my first stay with Urban Chic. The quality of this apartment was average. The disappointment was my 15 minute hike with a heavy suitcase from the 'reception' at Roscoe House and the actual apartment on Henry Street. It would have been helpful if the receptionist had informed me to start with that given heavy bags it was quite a walk away - but she didn't! The only saving grace was the walk was downhill and it wasn't raining! The apartment was okay, good value for money for a 2 bedroomed apartment £76 - can't be grumbled at really. Lift access (greatly appreciated after lugging heavy bag around), good security, but had to remember different pin codes for different doors. Close to Liverpool One, bars and restaurants etc. Also had to return key the next morning by 11am to the same place I collected it from - a real pain actually. It would have been nice for some kind of key drop or collection service, which other companies have offered in the past.

Excellent value for moneythere were three of us all female that stayed here for a night, it was really comfortable. Huge room, comfy beds and an excellent shower/bathroom! would definately stay there again, was great location. The only negative would be that the walls are quite thin and you can hear everything in the reception area and i imagine it would be the same in reverse.

A short weekend breakWe stayed in a standard room is Roscoe House. The staff were really friendly and pleasant and the room was adequate to our needs. It was functional but tastefully decorated and therefore an enjoyable. It was a standard room and therefore I feel we received value for money.the location was in my favorite city center area of Liverpool and I feel it was convenient to the shops, bars and restaurants.Fore the money we paid - i'd stay there again!Arlene Haslett

Very clean property and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Rooms very basic - no mirror in the bedroom or hair dryer. The Saturday night rate is not really value for money but I would stay again on a Friday when its cheaper.

Get What You Pay ForThe location was ideal. I originally booked a room for £48.95 (apparently saving over £240 on usual price) - I saw this room and decided to pay £10 to upgrade to a room that was better. It was cleam and beds comfy - there were 2 double beds in the same room - and a kitchen. SMALL portable TV with rubbish reception - cabinets with handles missing - bathroom was clean - but far very small. Considering these rooms were valued so high - I can't believe people would pay that price. It was ok to stay over night - but I wouldn't want to stay there any longer. Its a shame - as it looked very 'grand' from outside. But the staff were great - very friendly and very helpful.
