It is right on the beach, centrally located for people who want to walk and the shopping, restaurants and other such amenities are available. The clleaning service is not high quality and it seems as if towels are always in short supply. Overall, for the price and location, I would stay at this place as well as recommend it.

This is my 5th trip to Jamaica. Last time I was here I stayed right next door at the Sunset Grande, however the Rooms were clean, staff was friendly. They had complimentary contintental breakfast which was great. The food was so expensive at the hotel, but you can take advantage of room service which is a huge plus in my book. Literally steps from town, Hard Rock Cafe, shops and clubs. The hotel itself does not have much going on entertainment wise, but hey you 're in Jamaica its's always a party going on somewhere. It is not the best I have ever stayed in but certainly not the worst. I am plannin a trip in July and if you are on a budget this is the best way to go. This hotel is in my top 2 choices for July.

Rooms is located within walking distance of many shopping areas, night clubs, local eateries, american dining and the beach. You can book tours through the hotel or the taxis outside. There is fine dining as well Jamaican cooking. There are markets outside the gate where you can buy snacks and gifts. The rooms could use a microfridge and you have only one iron one a floor. If you don't want to go all-inclusive, Rooms is the way to go.

Rooms on the Beach in Ocho Rios is in a great location for dining and entertainment. The rooms were clean, though there were minimal towels & face cloths. Overall my stay at this hotel was comfortable.

the breakfast was a big joke..there was no protein item on the line..there was a large amount of stale danishes.the orange juice was too watered down..every one was dipping for jelly and butter from the same bowls!!! this was not a safe food practice..how about jelly and butter singles?.for a hotel on an island this is a poor show for meal items...we attempted to dine once but ended up dining in the town...good food and customer service at the indian restaurant next to the craft market.

The room is like with no amenities but it is cheap. We spent most of our time at the beach and doing tours so the quality of the room wasn?t important to us. Beach is on the property so that was wonderful. Don?t pay $70 for a Dunns River Fall tour which is a 5 minute drive. We took at cab for about $5 and the entrance for non residents was $15. If you are looking to Jetski talk to Junior on the beach.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in November 2007. We went with another couple who booked a junior suite. We had a deluxe room. We figured the junior suite would be much nicer due to the price, but soon realized that the junior suites have no balcony, and the rooms overlook the parking lot. Our room overlooked the beach/ocean. The bar had good friendly staff, but the drinks were ridiculously priced. We were told the water had sea urchins along the shore, so we didn't go. We go to Negril every year, but decided to go to ocho rios for part of our trip. We decided to go for a walk into the town to find a store for cheap drinks. Yes, we found cheap drinks, but the instant you walk out of the hotel perimeter, there are people waiting to harass you... and as you walk... they follow you. We now know why there are walls with security wire on top around the hotel. We didn't leave the hotel after that. The continental breakfast was good... just the basics, but did the job. Our room was nicely decorated for the price we paid. We paid for transfers... which I highly recommend NOT doing. It took 5 hours for us to get to the hotel from the airport. We were the last stop... and going back; it was a very long ride, with many many stops. I recommend just getting a cab. We went to Margaritaville almost every evening; we found a short cut where we would bypass town. I wouldn't stay in Ocho Rios again without staying at an all inclusive...

Our rooms at Ocho Rio's was not very clean. The comforter was really disguising and dirty the bathroom wasnt really clean, the iron and iron board were out of our room and we had to walk all the way to the other side to get it. In addition there are no elevators so we had to dragg our luggage up and down the stairs. The pool was really dirty and not available till the morning when we were leaving. Overall I was really disatisfied.

I was very pleased with this hotel. It was very clean, the staff was courteous and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and private. I really enjoyed the patio with oceanfront view. The hotel was located in the perfect spot. There were plenty of shops and eating facilities within walking distance. The beach was very nice and clean with plenty of lounge chairs. It was fun to watch the cruise ships coming in to port. I definately plan on going to Ocho Rios again and staying at the same hotel.

The staff at the hotel were LESS THAN FRIENDLY and I had to beg just to get clean towels in my room each day. We had to call maintenance several times to fix the air conditioner and the knob on the cold water literally came off in my hand. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! LESSON LEARNED

We arrived at this hotel after a 22 hours journey and nothing was open when we arrived at 11pm. Bar closed, so no food or drink available and we were very thirsty! Had to venture into the town to get provisions and at that late hour it was rather daunting. There were no other tourists in the area so we felt a rather uneasy. The receptionist was snotty throughout the whole trip. The other staff were lovely though. We were there when Hurricane Dean was on its way for a possible direct hit and we felt that hotel was very laid back about the situation and would not tell us their plans early enough should evacuation be required. We were not happy to keep waiting to hear what they would do with all the guests so just left for the airport to catch a flight home. We were only in Ocho Rios for 24 hours of our 4 day trip - a complete waste of money! Could not find a decent restaurant in the town and the hotel food was expensive. The beach was dirty. Not the beautiful beach that I was expecting at all. Have better beaches here in California!

This hotel was in a great location, right next door to the Jamaica Grand Hotel and walking distance from the craft market, shops and retaurants. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating and this was an excellent value for the money. I enjoyed my stay.

Rooms On The Beach is by far the best affordable hotel located in the heart of Ocho Rios. The rooms are extremely large to accomodate 2-3 persons and fully equipped with air conditioning to cool the entire room. I was very pleased with the bathroom as the tiles were clean, the sink had relatively enough room for personal belongings as well it comes spacious closet. The hotel offers an ironing board w/iron as well as a washer and dryer so guests can take care of their laundry. The hotel is walking distance to all neighborhood shops, has a bar right outside adjacent to the pool and even has a casino for people who wish to gamble. They also offer continental breakfast to guests every morning, lunch and dinner for reasonable prices. I would recommend anyone to stay at this facility because of what the hotel offers for its price and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
