Cheap room for the night, bed and shower plus extras for £32, it was all we wanted! Located short walk from where we wanted to be, room was basic but in reasonable condition e.g. ceilings. Walls were rather thin, we could hear next doors alarm clock going off at some ridiculous hour, so I imagine all they could hear the previous night was our TV even though not too loud! A few of our towels were crusty like so they could do with updating but other than that all good. Will def stay again, we are back in the area next month for similar event so plan to stay then.

Very cheap and for a reason.Arrived here for a night out in Newcastle (19/7/09) The Good Points:Rooms are a decent sizeShower/ toilets were clean. Nice clean towels provided.Quiet (although it was a sunday night we stayed)TV was clear.Tea & coffee providedCheck in was quick and staff were nice. The Bad Points:Room itself had foreign splashs and marks on the wall. All the doors look like they've all been jimmyed open at one stage or another.Although iron and ironing board provided, the steam didnt work on the iron, it was completely rusted and the ironing board had a massive burn mark on it.Shower was propped up on wood.Hotel itself is in a fairly dodgy area but a taxi is only a few quid from centre of town.Would probably spend an extra couple of quid to stay somewhere else to be honest.

Value for MoneyIf your just looking for a place to put your head down, this is the place. I went to a gig in newcastle so needed somewhere cheap as I werent going to be spending a lot of time in the room. For £35 a night you couldnt argue

Value for moneyPerfect for what we required, Night to put your drunken head down! Hotel rooms clean and tidy, not a 5 star property but we only paid £18 per person per night so we weren’t expecting Jumeriah Beach standard. Can’t complain on anything as I said good value for money

Good if you're on your own and on the budgetCustomer service gets 2 and not 1 only because someone actually picked up the phone when I called asking for walking directions from the train station - which they were not able to give. Room was a comfortable size, although the walls are very thin and you can hear those in rooms next to you. Possibly would get quite cold in winter.Clean, but as some others mentioned, falling apart in some places (shower, in the case of the room I stayed in).Overall, good if you're on your own and just want to place to sleep and leave your belongings while you go about town.

Excellent Budget AccommodationNo compaints at all. Very good value for money. The rooms were very clean with comfortable beds and a good shower. The staff were all excellent, very friendly and helpful. Great location, only a short walk from the city centre and train station.Ideal for someone who is looking for budget accommodation in Newcastle.

Travellers from new zealandif you are on a budget then this hotel is fine. Scruffy from the outside but the rooms were fine and as a stopover was excellent value.

Rooms Inn - Review 5th July 2009No Frills accommodation, pretty much everything I expected. Shower was pretty awful however the location was great and for £33 per roomit was a bargain and in the centre of town. Ideal for a group of friends to enjoy Newcastle

Never Again - unless you are a stag party!Really helpful staff, nice cotton sheets and newly decorated bedrooms initially made up for the rather alarmingly tatty appearance of the exterior of this "hotel". But we were all woken by a band of drunken idiots in the middle of the night screaming and shouting and banging on everyones doors shouting FIRE.

You get what you pay for and for £30 including parking it wasn't too bad. Very close to city centre and so excellent for gigs etc.

Cheap but cheerful!!!This is a very basic hotel. Girls take a mirror as there was only one an it was fixed to the bathroom wall!! Appart from the lack of mirrors the hotel is very close to town (10mins walking distance)but the bus stop is just outside for the lazy!! comfy beds and clean rooms, what more do you want, i would defo go back, made for a brill nite out!!

Rooms InnIf you're looking for a palatial hotel this is not the place for you.I believe the hotel is a converted DSS office, or something like that. The approach is dreary, and it looks nothing like you might expect a hotel to look like. However, the rooms were very comfortable and clean, the on suite bathroom was very adequate and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. You can't get Wi-fi on the second floor, but if you ask nicely they may let you access the hotel broadband from downstairs. If you're looking for a low-cost hotel, which is comfortable and you're not bothered about the appearance or frills this is a great place to stay and within close proximity to the bars.I'd certainly stay there again

Checked in after midnight, given keys, night porter pointed at the stairs, arrived at room, (could not swing the proverbial cat) to discover the room had not been serviced since the last occupants. Trekked back down, eventually allocatwed another room (triple) which was much more spacious. Good shower, although tiles needed cleaning, quality of towels so poor that white threads stuck to skin after showering and were impossible to remove. No remote control for tv but reception bad anyway. Bare wire sticking out of wall behind minibar. Overall pretty grubby and needs some money spent on maintenance and staff training.

basic but good valueWe booked at the last minute and paid £35 for the two of us for a twin roomThe room was basic but clean and it is only a ten minute walk into the town centre.Whilst you wouldnt take you wife there for a group of lads just needing somewhere to sleep it was fine

As good as you expect for £25The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and tidy - the towels were even soft and the shower hot and powerful. On the down side, the mattress was pretty lumpy and was long overdue a change and everyone else in the hotel seemed to get up at about 5am and start walking up and down the corridors, banging doors as they went - these two factors gave me fairly poor night's sleep but for £25 a night including free parking, I guess you can't have everything! I'd probably still stay there again!

Don't be fooledWhen I first pulled into the hotels car park. I looked at the hotel and thought what the hell have I booked here. It's not attractive from the outside. Infact it looks like a prison. But the rooms a roomy and the staff are extremely helpful. It's not five star by any stretch of the imagination. But it is clean. Great value for money.

This place is not a hotel it's more like a homeless hostel....and the windows have cages on them..if your are thinking of booking this for a night or to then i would'nt.. the smell of damp is everywhere in the rooms in the hallway its is dirty dirty.....it is'nt even a hotel and for late rooms to have this on there site is'nt right.....so please don't book this we could'nt even stay the 2nd nite it was that bad and they would'nt even refund us for the 2nd nite...just stay away from this place
