| Wow! This was as bad as described by other travelers on your site. Very small rooms, hospital type furniture, very dirty walls, very very dirty windows, questionably clean linen.
Positive aspects: friendly staff, good location, nice view (if it still matters when being watched from such a room), okay breakfast, reasonable price. |

Hotel was reasonable, food was good and the people were nice. If you are trying to impress someone pick another hotel. I was traveling alone so I thought it was good.

Courteous and friendly staff. Very good access to and from Panama City. Big bathroom but rooms lacked storage chest; therefore if you don'nt mind keeping your clothes in your luggage for a week is fine. Limited hanging space and noisy wall air conditioner. Restaurant menu is good but service and cleanliness are not up to standards. Availability of free internet and PC is a great addition to the services. No need to bring your own PC.

The Roma Plaza is in an OK position - 10 mins walk from the downtown center - there is no internet or wirless in rooms but there is on the ground floor and also a computer which is free if you dont take your laptop - the hotel free airport bus service does not run very much - taxi cost $30 inclu tip. The restuarant at the hotel is very good and the staff are very friendly and nice - the hall ways and elevators are a little shabby and very hot.

I stayed there with four others. We were happy with the hotel. Did fine that the reservation the I made for one room for 5 people was not available, but the two rooms of two doubles and one with three single worked out fine. I must say that the WIFI didn't work over the week-end, but was repaired on Monday and our lap-top worked fine. The computador that is available to all was always busy, try talking to the busness office were you may be able to use one of the computers there. The service from the airport worked fine, but to the airpor is too expensive and you can fine a taxi that will do it cheaper. Remember you have to schedue it before you leave. We checked out before we had out flight, but the hotel keeped our luggage in the hall. I hope to go back in September. My previous trip was Dec to Jan.

The Roma Plaza Hotel Panama City is the worse, they call matrimonial beds to a full side bed, no windows at all, no control for the air conditioning, the last day they give my room away, then give me a even smaller room with two twin bed, for me and my husband, the matress feel like carboard, the room was very could, and no cover, but a sheet only, I though I was having a nightmare. All they have to said was sorry. At the breakfast buffet all the empty table were dirty, so you have to go to the other side of the restaurant and paid for you food. I would never recomend this hotel to nobody, not even my worse enemy.

Our room had no window and the air conditioner did not work. The bedding was not clean and other than the bellman, service was horrible. It took me 1/2 hour to make them give me a new room with an air conditioner that worked so that my young children could sleep. I highly recommend that everyone avoid the Roma Plaza Hotel Panama City .

Room was on a very busy and noisey street, 24/7. Room was not sufficiently cleaned during stay e.g., mold growing on sink, sticky floor, etc. Bar was not open at the pool. Business center consisted of one computer in noisey lobby. Elevators were inop part of the time.

There are better options out there. Most of the staff was polite and helpful, given what they had to work with. The front desk people were abrupt, rude and gave you the distinct impression that you were wasting their time. The management of the hotel needs to address this as it is a consistent complaint among travelers. Otherwise, you might tip the scale to stay. The food in the restaurant was awful. I fed mine to the many starving cats in the area. McDonald's (where I never go) was around the corner and became a much preferred option. There were also roaches in the room, which I guess can't be totally controlled.

This is close to the business district, but that is the only thing it has in ints favor. It is in a high crime area with protistutes and drug dealers roaming the streets and the lobby, and rooms. My room did not have a lock. The front desk clerk warned us not to go outside after dark. It had armed guards in the lobby and outside the front door. Cabbies asked me why in the world I would stay there and that it was in a very dangerous place. Filthy bathroom, horrible beds. DO NOT STAY HERE EVER.

The room is somewhat comfortable, clean bathroom. The room was kind of small, and has no window, like a insided cabin when you take a cruise, may be because I only paid for a standard room rate. The hotel staff were very friendly, breakfast was pretty good. Hotel location is in the downtown area, a little old and rundown. Overall, it worth what you paid for.

"Hotel is adequate; my room was a corner room, comfortable bed, small desk, large TV, private bath, clean, if the bathroom was a bit worn. Hallways were dingy, but the staff was polite. But the area is a bit seedy. The noise from the street traffic is VERY loud day and night - most people would be very bothered. So while I was comfortable enough for 5 nights, I would not recommend it except as an acceptable 3rd or 4th choice if all other hotels were booked."

"This is a very nice 2 Star Hotel with a lovely pool and a nice breakfast. But, everything about the rooms scream ""2 Star!"" not 3 or 4 as the reviews and ratings say. Don't be fooled! This is a very nice, low budget, third world hotel. Nothing more."

The Roma Plaza Hotel had an excellent breakfast buffet. One of the best we've ever had included in the hotel rate. The location of the hotel was convenient, close to major tourist spots and good public transportation. The street where the hotel was located was a bit noisy though. The room was nice and clean. We suggest, though, asking for an upgraded standard room with a queen size bed, if you are a couple. The bed in the standard room was a simple double size, which made it a bit tight for too adults to share! Overall, the Roma Plaza was a good hotel to stay; we looked forward to our breakfast every morning!

"Some of the friendliest, most helpful staff I have ever encountered, and I do a lot of traveling. If you need to impress someone, don't stay here, but if you want an enjoyable stay at a comfortable hotel, this is it. They have a pay phone on the 6th floor. Get a phone card and use it."
