Wow! This was as bad as described by other travelers on your site. Very small rooms, hospital type furniture, very dirty walls, very very dirty windows, questionably clean linen. Positive aspects: friendly staff, good location, nice view (if it still matters when being watched from such a room), okay breakfast, reasonable price.

As we check in we came to find out that children were $16.50 extra per child.

I don't like nothing from this hotel. Everything was bad. Never recommend this hotel, broken windows and they fixed with a newspaper page and tape, bad room smell, manager and front desk personnel gave us really bad treatment, parking far from the hotel, no clock, no funtional ligths, humidity, really old towels, they charge super extra of everything. I am not going to that hotel again. Was terrible experience.

We stayed here for one night on our way to Colon (for a cruise) and also for one night on the return. This is not a place I'd recommend for Americans! The staff did not speak/understand much English, the rooms were not clean and it is located in a very scary neighborhood.

This is a nice hotel in a not-so-fancy district. The price is low, the rooms are clean, and the food is good. The snacks and beverages in the room are reasonably priced, but I did have a issue with my last stay. The bellboy counted all the snacks and beverages, including the candy bars, and concluded everything was in place. When I checked out the next morning I paid for the refreshments I had in the room. After the morning shift bellboy recounted, it was determined I also drank one of the little bottles of rum and ate a Snickers candy bar. How was I supposed to know when the night shift bellboy counted and saw that there were 3 candy bars instead of 4, and 1 little bottle of rum instead of two, and OK'd it, that that wasn't the correct amount. I had no inventory list. He could have been the one helping himself to snacks before people go into the rooms. Otherwise my stay was pleasant and I will stay at the Roma Plaza next fall when I go to Panama City.

Nice location, good pool with good views on rooftop. Our room was on the interior of the hotel, and had no windows. Small bathroom. My biggest complaint is that there was not a single window in our room, let alone a balcony. But good location in the financial district; would recommend it for business travelers. Restaurant had fairly good food. Rooftop pool had good views and was a nice place to relax.

Overall the hotel was not that bad for the going prices of rooms in Panama these days. Staff was courteous and security on site 24 hours; hotel common areas and rooms were generally clean. The room I stayed in did not have a window, but did have wireless internet connection. If you are planning on utilizing the hotel airport shuttle keep in mind the it does not operate on Sundays, and if you have an early flight you need to consider another means of transportation because the shuttle does not start daily operations until 8:00AM.

The picture of the room posted in the Internet site doesn't match with the real rooms. I received a room where none of drawers worked so not place to put clothes. Walls were scratched and probably painted five years ago. I even was thinking in loosing my money already payed, but then they gave me a better room. Wireless Internet only works in firts floor and it is intermitent. To use the phone, they charge you $4 dollars. The zone is dangerous after 7pm. The only good thing was that MacDonalds was two blocks from the hotel. As soon as I could I switched to another hotel in better location, new, cleaner and in "The Cangrejo", a place full of stores, restaurants, banks, two bloks from Via España.

Hotel was reasonable, food was good and the people were nice. If you are trying to impress someone pick another hotel. I was traveling alone so I thought it was good.

I have stayed here before and it was O.K. But this time, the receptionist was not very attentive, gave me a substandard room (small room with only one bed) when I paid or a room with two double beds. I was so tired when I arrivedthat I didn't want to go downsatirs to argue wit her. My travel-mate and I had to share our little double bed together. The bathroom was dirty and needed a major renovaion. The "free" breakfast the next morning was lousy. Panama is not known for being very "client friendly". This place needs a service-attitude makeover. ORBITZ should give me a refund.

My Hotel experience was phenomenal thanks to the people staffing the Hotel. To start with: the front desk staff was very friendly when we arrived; the Housekeeping lady was very helpful when we ask for additional pillows. The (Based) 24 hrs Taxi service is really a perk for the Hotel. But the icing on the cake was the tremendous Taxi Driver/Guide that made our stay really enjoyable. His name is [...], a very respectful man. Me and my wife were very pleased and greatful with this person and his tremendous service; he was with us all the time and gave us all the sightseeing information and history of Panama. The Hotel location is between the Airport and the Panama Canal. Also, I have to be very honest in saying that the Hotel has different room rates and probably the more you pay the better, nicer, and quiet room you have...that's obvious. Since the purpose of our visit/vacation was to just sleep in the Hotel and be outside as much as possible to enjoy the Panama "colors", staying in the Hotel for relaxing was not our idea, so that's why we paid the cheapest room rate. We were able to visit the HUGE Albrook Mall; The AWESOME Panama Canal; the impressive America's Bridge. Our Taxi Driver/Guide took us to around 5 different American Military Bases; we went to Casco Viejo (like old Panama city); we went to different souveniers shops; we also had a tour around the new/remodeled/and still building Panama City. And that was just in a day an a half. The food is phenomenal and impressively cheap. One of the reason why we enjoyed the trip was the fact that we knew where we wanted to go. We researched in the internet and talked to different people we know from Panama, and they told us the must see attractions and shoppings for just a weekend vacation. Indeed we want to go back with our 5 children. And for sure we will stay at the same Hotel but probably paying more for a Family Room rate and will call our personal Taxi Driver, [...], our new friend..... One detail that I have t

This was our second trip from the U.S. to Panama City in about 7 months. The first time our hotel, Country Inn & Suites Panama Canal, was somewhat nicer but cost $130 per night. We only needed a place to eat and sleep for a short night so tried the Roma Plaza at $74 per night (including tax). For the price difference, we'll take the Roma Plaza over the Country Inn. The Roma Plaza is in a neighbor hood where you wouldn't want to go strolling around at night, but there's no need to. They have an excellent bar and restaurant that are reasonably priced. Some of the staff don't speak English, but enough do that you can always get your questions answered. The staff is friendly and willing to help if you're new to the area.

Coming from David, Chiriqui, we stayed in this hotel overnight to wait for our flight out of Tocumen. It's close enough to walk to the beach, except they are currently building an extension to the Corredor Sur. The room had a number of problems, serious intermittend flooding from the toilets water supply, a broken safety latch and an infestation of tiny bugs on the table. That doesn't deserve 3 stars. Positive were 2 computers for internet access, a helpful staff, and the included breakfast. Dinner in the restaurant was acceptable. Despite the problems, we still prefer it over the Riande Aeropuerto (try to avoid that)

I stayed there with four others. We were happy with the hotel. Did fine that the reservation the I made for one room for 5 people was not available, but the two rooms of two doubles and one with three single worked out fine. I must say that the WIFI didn't work over the week-end, but was repaired on Monday and our lap-top worked fine. The computador that is available to all was always busy, try talking to the busness office were you may be able to use one of the computers there. The service from the airport worked fine, but to the airpor is too expensive and you can fine a taxi that will do it cheaper. Remember you have to schedue it before you leave. We checked out before we had out flight, but the hotel keeped our luggage in the hall. I hope to go back in September. My previous trip was Dec to Jan.
