Close to destination. Plugging in coffee pot required plugging xtnsn cord behind bed. Clerk was curt, cold. Room was cramped, and electrical supply very inconvenient - had to squeeze my own extension cord into an outlet behind the bed to plug in the coffee pot and my computer. High-speed internet worked well, thanks!

Old, tired but the smell was what got me. And getting reused toiletries in my bathroom also turned me off (half empty shampoo and lotion with a broken seal - refills?).

Doesn't liked, needed to fix up the place, smell horrible and didn't get to sleep at all. Beat up place. Paint was peeling. Bathroom was beat up. Bed room smell like curry. They whole complex need to make over very badly. The only thing good for it was the good price. It's not even worth my money for the stay. It was a bad experience for me.

My wife and I had a week to visit Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. After spending two days in Connecticut visiting Yale University, Eli Whitney Museum, Connecticut River Museum, New London/Groton and Mystic Seaport, we moved on to Newport, Rhode Island. The Rodeway Inn just outside of Newport fit the bill. It was a newly purchased Rodeway Inn (from a non-chain owner). When we checked in, the room we were given was very smoky even though we had reserved a non-smoking room. The staff immediately gave us another room and apologized. The second room was fine. I was a bit concerned that the Inn was located about 25 feet off of a main road. However, we heard no traffic noise at all. Bed was comfortable and free breakfast was typical; cereal, bagles, coffee and juice. There was a restaurant, about 1/4 mile down the road, which advertised a 1-1/4 lbs lobster dinner for $20. The dinner was great!

It was within walking distance to IHOP. The smell of curry throughout the hotel was unbearable. The outside looks great. Convenient location, with moderately pleasant staff. Strange to see the family's baby in a large plastic crate next to the check in desk. The hotel room was teeny, with very low sink and toilet. The shower was reminiscent of the one in Psycho. Particularly average overall, but the kicker was the smell. The corridors reeked of a bad curry smell. I like curry, but not snorting it. After a while to prevent the offset of nauseous ness, I had to step outside to breathe fresh air. I could not wait to check out to get home and wash my clothes and remove this spicy odor.

Not a thing! Nasty, filthy and smelly. Would not let my worst enemy stay here! I hated everything. This is the worst roach motel I have ever seen in my life! Had to go to a different hotel as just the smell alone of this nasty place made me sick!

Great location to Newport RI. The ethnic food being cooked by the staff stunk up the whole place. Location was great. Fine for just one night...passing through. The room was very small and crammed with furniture that had seen better days. We couldn't get the Wi-Fi to connect. We never found an ice machine.

It was dirty, with peeling paint, and in general, it was a dump, and certainly not worth the money. Iwould not stay there again. Poor quality. Noisy.
