We believe the Inn is somewhat over rated and over priced compared to the larger casino hotel rooms where we stayed on previous occasions. Housekeeping was fair except no maid service on Thursday? Staff we encountered were all friendly. Would not choose to repeat. Many thanks for your help.

My wife and I stayed the night at the Rodeway in the units across the street from the main section, next to the pool. The bed was on the hard side, but that was preferrable to overly soft. The manager said the beds were next on the renovation list. Everything else was great. Baths were clean with new fixtures, including hair dryer. Each room had an outdoor access to balcony. Internet access was fast and easy to log on. The location was a couple of blocks off the main drag and with two blocks of the beach. We got free access to the private beach area which was clean and well kept---nice swimming area and even had a grill/snack bar. The motel was within walking distance of some excellent dining at Harrah's casino, and the top rated restaurant at the Edgewood Golf course is only a block away. The continental breakfast was of good quality. In short, we found the negative comments posted by others to be unwarranted. We would definitely stay there again. A great bargain.

Good Quiet motel close to every thing People come to Tahoe for, my wife and I stayed here for our 18th wedding anniversary...excellent location, Continental breakfast was lacking and no soap in the bathroom..but, overall a good experience.

Dirty, dingy and just unsanitary! we had paid for 3 nights and were so grossed out by the conditions we ended up only staying one night where NONE of us slept due to the LOUD partying college kids next to us. The rug looked like it had fungus growing on it and the bathroom was pretty clean, but i wouldnt allow anyone to walk in the room without shoes on. If I was single and just looking for a bed to sleep in, fine but our room was nasty and the staff didnt seem to care that our room was so unclean when we arrived.

Well, the room was so small....If we changed our minds, someone had to go outside.Our room had a queen sized bed and about 2 feet of walking room around it.The bathroom towel rack looked nice, but it was sitting on the window sill.It appeared clean, and if you just need a bed to crash in, it was a good value.Room is located in a quite area, less than 1/2 mile away from the casinos.

This place is the bestest (I know that word doesn't exist but hey it works here) It's close to the nightlife, whether going to a concert, clubbing at Vex, winning big while gambling, or just a great night out.

Great location, good high speed internet, clean comfortable room. This is an older property that has been refurbished and is a good value.

The Rodeway is very close to all activities in South Lake Tahoe. Skiing is very close and all the casino's and resturants are just a short walk. Would recommend to anyone wanting a nice place to stay for a ski or summer vacation.

Hotel room and towels smelled like a gym after everyone was through with it. The bed was worn out and uncomfortable. The hotel in general had no amenities in the romm ie: no clock, marginal soap, paper thin towels (they could have just left a paper towel roll and it would have been just as effective). Fortunately we only were in the room long enough to get some rest.

the location of the hotel is great...within walking distance to the casinos but the hotel itself was dirty...there was trash strewn about the floors and the cleaning staff would walk right by it...seemed to be several areas that were damaged as well

This hotel is in a bad area difficult to find and we did not feel safe there. The room was dirty and the bathroom awful - plaster falling down etc.

The Rodeway Inn was ok. The room was small, the bed was standard. All in all it was the best we could do basically at the last minute. The staff in the office were very nice, the location is beautiful, behind the main street in Tahoe. It was ok. I do believe the price of the Inn on the weekends are just too expensive because its definetaly not even a 2 star. But if this is the best you can do on a spur of the moment, well, when you are asleep you don't know if you are in a 4 star or 1 star hotel anyway. Might go back if there are no other choices.

This Rodeway Inn was expensive for the quality of rooms they have. It's very close to the beach and within walking distance to the Nevada casino's and it's location is probably the only reason they get away with charging so much money for a Rodeway Inn. It is a very old hotel. The elevator was scarey! The rooms have old furniture and are very dark. They tried to modernize them as I could see our bathroom was remodeled. However, the toilet was not attched correctly to the floor and rocked! Good thing we all have a sense of humor! The mattress was old and sunken and it was just uncomfortable to stay there. We paid a lot per night to stay here even though it was a Rodeway in. Next time I would spend a little more for a better quality hotel.

The value for the location makes this stay do-able. It has great service and an always handy staff but it's seen better days in the carpeting. Close to great food and Casino's a block away and 10 mins to the Gondula or the slopes *(not counting the wait in line.....)

Facility was within walking distance from the main casinos, room very neat, familty oriented and I felt safe walking to the bus stop at three o'clock in the morning. I would recommend the facility to any one planning a family vacation or a business trip especially if you are on a limited budget.

"Overall the room is very nice and clean. The front desk is friendly. I like quick access to the beach and casino. The distance is perfect, and the outside appearance looks a lot better than neighboring Inns. The only thing I noticed is the window in the bathroom does not have a screen. "

The rooms here are dingy and look very worn. We asked for an extra towel and were told to come across the street to the main registration desk to get it. Would not stay here again.
