Great price. Very loud outside room, could hardly sleep.

Stayed 3 nights, November 2008. Typical Rodeway Inn. For the price, it beat the living daylights out of staying near Midway Airport. Convenient access to freeway (5 minutes). Decent restaurants (chains) 5 to 10 minutes away, quiet neighborhood. Breakfast is O.K., although a bit late to start (7am). The only thing I really missed was no coffee maker in the room. Bummer. Called down to front desk at about 5:30am. He had just put on a fresh pot. Invigorating, but brief walk before dawn on a chilly Chicago November morning to get that first cup of coffee misses the mark a bit. Otherwise, I thought it was fine. Best part is cost and convenience.

What a GREAT Value! Roooms were clean. Pool is being reinivated. My wife is much pickier and she would not have licked this place. But I was here in Chicago and this place is inexpensive and easy to get to. I felt safe her. I would come again and if my wife was in the mood to save money I would bring her here.

The Rodeway was what was expected. Friendly staff, not a luxury hotel but clean and comfortable. As a result of this experience I will not again use ORBITZ unless absolutely necessarily. Orbitz specifically booked a smoking room when I specifically did not request it and gave me no notification of having done so until such time as I show up at the hotel at 11:30 pm. The clerk showed me what had been sent to them by Orbitz. Of course, Orbitz had the $$$. Not as bad as the night in Philly with NO room due to an Orbitz mistake but close. So long Orbitz, you will be the LAST service that I will use.

Comfortable rooms. The continental breakfast was a joke. The hotel's breakfast staff was rude and not helpful. She was more interested in talking to her husband/boyfriend than helping the guests. We had to beg for milk for the cereal, there was no juice and she would not put out any waffle mix for the waffle maker. When she did put 1 container out she would not let me make my own waffle and practically shoved me out of the way to get to the waffle maker. I will not ever stay in this hotel again.

I was very pleased with my stay at the Rodeway Inn. I was a little skeptical of the hotel because of the low rate, but what I received was wonderful service from the entire staff, a wonderful bed that I was able to sleep a solid six hours which is a triumph for me and had a very decent breakfast. I recommand this hotel for your family and if you need a place to lay your head from bussiness travel. A very nice hotel with a fantastic price. I will definitely stay there again.

Very dirty rooms, horrible and disgusting carpet, unfinsihed open vents in room, lousy service at front desk, horrible parking, exterior looks like a ghetto. NO air conditioner! Old furniture that is mismatched and stained.

the room was clean to appearance, if you have allergies don't go. Make sure that you get what you reservations called for, no smoking, king size bed they will pull one over on you if they can.

It was clean. Breakfast was wonderful! Good place for one night stay. The outside look of hotel is a little more to be desired. Crazy parking. Staff was friendly, rooms were updated and clean. Breakfast was good (muffins, waffles, cereal). The parking was very small and confined, and the outside was a little runned down. But if you need a quick place to stay, it was great. I would recommend if you aren't looking for top of the line and you only need a night's sleep.

No pool, as mentioned (looked like under construction?); no coffee pot in room, as mentioned; no breakfast, as mentioned. Checked in at 2 pm just to obtain key, then continued on to family reunion a few miles away. When we returned to room about midnight, no where to park!! Hmmm. No amenities mentioned when booking online were available; therefore I rate "value for $$" as "terrible" because we got nothing promised for the price. But rate was exceptionally good. Having to go out for breakfast was a major disappointment, in that when we travel, we like to take our time int he checking-out process. Bathroom floor was puddled with water when we arrived AT MIDNITE -- made us wonder if someone else was in room, had a water leak somewhere, or just still wet (???) from morning cleaning? Poor lighting in room. Completed survey we were emailed a week after trip & we responded as above; however, never heard one word back from them.

Cheap, but close enough to Chicago. Easy to hear people next door and outside. The room we stayed in had mirrors on the ceiling and walls. This was weird but kind of cool. Breakfast was really good for a hotel.

This Roadway Inn of the Choice chain has to be the worst I've had the displeasure to use.The price was high, the rooms hot and with no air conditioning or windows that could have been opened to cool it down.Although the staff at the front desk was VERY helpful, the breakfast staff was a horror. They held VERY LOUD conversations in spanish and had no regard for those of us eating. I speak Spanish and their conversation was unpleasent and demeaning of the guest. I understand that this property has just been taken over by Choice and changes are to be made to bring it up to their standards,Iwould not make this my choice for another stay.

It was close to the Brookfield Zoo and Metra train pick up. No parking. The hotel was not bad, except for the parking. They do not have enough parking spaces. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

hotel was clean, the staff very friendly and helpful. the beds were very comfortable. only complaint is that there is not a thermostat in the room that you can adjust to hot or cold no matter what time of year. overall, a very good choice of hotel.

It was pleasant and simple. The bathroom was very small and awkward. As far as inexpensive rooms with moderate quality, this place was very sufficient. The staff was friendly, although the location was awkward. I wasn't aware they had a pool, and I am not sure if it was open while we were there at all.

I only needed a place to sleep and bathe. This property fulfilled that purpose. No frills. Continental breakfast very nice.

Very close and convenient to concert we were attending. Smoking although our room did not smell.

Hotel staff cooperated very nicely and would like to appreciate them in helping to find locations in Chicago.
