Excellent customer service. Wonderful for the money. Room was clean and had a good feeling. Amenity was good too. But one thing I was a little concerned was the sign on the wall in the room. It said some cleaning items they use for the room contain something not so safe. It would be great if the room could be cleaned without any chemicals, etc. Other than that, my stay was very comfortable. Definitely great value for the money.

The location to the aquarium was great! The continental breakfast was a joke. Overall the staff was very friendly and the location was great. The rooms were clean but the continental breakfast needed some help.

Called and were told we could park both vehicles at hotel. When we arrived, the manager stated that he was in charge, and only 1 car was allowed in the lot. (There is not enough parking for each room to have a space). We had to park our vehicle with handicap placard over a half mile away...and pay 15 a day for it. (In all fairness, you CAN park on the street, if you can find a spot...and move your vehicle every 2 hours until 6pm). We did arrive early and were told that we could not check in until 3pm. We sat across the strret at Subway, and watched countless people check in. At check in, I was charged more than the travel website had quoted me. At this point, I was tired and wanted out of the sweltering heat! Small room had extra tiny bedroom...That was a plus, as was the fridge. Room was remodled and clean. The worst part was the air conditioning. It only works when you are in the room with the door deadbolted. No coming back to a cooled room!! It does NOT reach the second bedroom, nor does it cool the main room. It was over 100 degrees outside, and by 7pm, it was still an oven in the room. We had to open all the windows and door to get some relief. The Vons at the corner has a security officer outside, and there is lots of graffiti around... NOT worth the 150. (inflated rates, due to festival) Stayed here for LB Pride.

Quick walk to everything, including Vons Grocery. Front desk personnel was friendly and efficient. Only thing I didn't like was the way the a/c unit functioned. We couldn't keep the unit running unless we were in the room w/ the deadbolt engaged. It took a very long time for the room to cool down, but once it did--brrr...it was freezing!

It was close to the places that I was visiting in the long beach area. The rooms were small and very average with small parking places for the price. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The rooms were kept very clean.

We arrived the evening of the 22nd, April 2008 to the small downtown Long Beach Rodeway Inn to find a well maintained establishment. I had actually been recommended this hotel by a colleague who had stayed there the month previous. He and I have traveled on business together and he knows my requiremements for cleanliness and convenience. Boy, was he right! The office has a bit of the downtown feel but is staffed with smiling well groomed employees. a fantastic first impression! The desk agent worked diligently to find a room that met the needs of some friends I had brought along unannounced. I knew it was gamble not making their reservations ahead of time but not only did they get the room they wanted it was conveniently next door to mine. Next, the courtyard is the parking lot, no pool, but we didn't care as we wanted to take in the sights. Having this feature increased the safety of one's auto. I was able to park my care outside of my room door for a calming sense and ease of access. Entering the rooms we found clean, modern, maintained accomadations. I was so pleased! Then after opening my luggage I remembered the price. "I am going to stay here everytime I come to Long Beach." I told myself. For this was a secret jewel. For those traveling on business and those out and about I fully recommend the Rodeway on Atlantic. After a hard day of shopping, meetings or playing tourist this is great place to come home and hang your hat. It is within walking distance of every heart's desire. Restaurants galore! There is even a VON'S grocery store up the block!

This is a bare bones hotel...no pool, no dining rooms, continental breakfasts, business center. But the price is better than many and it's quiet and a great location. We walked to the beach, dined around the corner. Staff was friendly and helpful. I'd go again.

It was in a very good location and served our purpose just fine. No microwave, parking lot very small. Was very clean and comfortable. In good location, and in a decent neiborhood.

Room smelled like smoke, furniture was falling apart, paint was literally peeling off the walls. Their is little or no noise insulation and you can hear the faintest whisper through the walls. However, if you are a heavy sleeper, who wants free internet and is on a budget this might be the place for you.

The Roadway Inn in Long Beach was a miserable!!! The room smelled, although it looked somewhat clean. One of the beds were so hard, that when sitting down, it didn't even budge. The other bed caved in on the ends and by morning my head was below my body (even with a pillow) and I had a horrible sinus headache. The bathroom smelled and only had towels for 2 people even though the room was for 4.

People were friendly, that is it. Room was clean but stunk from smoke. Mattress was old, and springs stuck me. This hotel at best is a $35 to $45 a night Motel, not $105 what I paid. There were no non smoking rooms on the first level, no elevator for the second level (for seniors like me), and this is a MOTEL, not a hotel. Card key provided didn't open the door, had to get another room and card key The air Conditioner. only turned on when the lock was on from inside, therefore couldn't cool the room off while not in it. Asked to apply room freshener which they did, but the air conditioner pumped out stale cigarette odor into the room, and I couldn't sleep much.
