Disgusting, awful place, with an even worse general manager. DO NOT STAY HERE - EVER. Take 5 minutes to drive up the road to Holiday Inn – they were great!! In all of my years travelling I have never been treated worse in a hotel. We arrived to this at dump (9pm) 30 minutes after checking by phone that they had rooms. We got there and the GM would not honor the "walk in" rate advertised in room savers booklet - he stated 30 minutes earlier they would take the discount we had. On top of that he was not accommodating for the 2 kids we had and said no rooms are close to each other (we needed separate rooms). I then said OK lets book anyways (I was upset but cordial) and then now tried to use my corporate business rate (CPSA) where Rodeway is clearly listed -- again he denied it saying he does not need to accept it - it’s his choice. I was upset and stated this fact and asked for his boss. He said he was the boss and that he does not have to offer me a room at all and to leave. Can you believe this is a manager?? This put me over the edge and I said that he cannot treat people in this manner and that this issue will not go away - he will hear from me. So my goal is to put up as many bad reviews so he finds himself flipping burgers in some greasy spoon so no one ever has to deal with him again... Don’t stay at Rodeway!!!

While staying at the Rodeway Inn in Kittery Maine we had an enjoyable time. The room was good size with 2 beds. The curtains kept the room quite dark which was great for sleeping. I wish th epool opened before 9 am especially since there was construction work going on and we were woken up at 7:30 am. Also the remote did not seem to work that well with the tv and we couldnt find a channel guide. The pool was very clean and my daughter had a blast

It's location. Dirty. There was hair in the tub, toothpaste in the sink and the counters were filthy. The tv did not work.We had to plug everything in when we got there, even the tv and microwave. Nothing was ready to use.The windows were wide open and this was a first story room. There was mold in the refrigerator. No one told us the pool was closed. We specifically wanted a hotel with a pool. Not even on the sign in the lobby. It had pool hours as open! This hotel was "under renovations". The hallways and lobby were beyond dirty.

The place is showing it's age, and the fittings, decor, carpets, etc need replacing. You would only want to stay there if you need somewhere to sleep and then go visit other places. It's not the type of place where you stay in your room, relax and unwind. For the price - which includes a fridge, hairdryer, microwave, air-con, etc - it was OK. We would stay there again if passing through, but NOT as a destination.

The Rodeway Inn in Kittery, Maine provided us with a clean and comfortable room, however they were in the middle of some construction to their main lobby. Our room had a distinct odor of chemicals upon arrival and it lasted for several days. The room did appear to have been newly renovated, and was neat and clean. A refrigerator & microwave were included making this a terrific value and more appealing for the children. The pool was adequate. It was just minutes from the Kittery Trading Post and Outlet stores. If you are looking for an affordable option this could be for you. We were somewhat disappointed in the Continental Breakfast, which included dry cereal, toast, bagels, muffins, coffee and juice.

Room was musty smelling bath was dirty, bath sink drainned all over the floor. Entrance outside unsafe.

Exterior deceptive. Dark, gloomy reception, although clerk was pleasant. Halls smell like urine. Rooms not much better. HOWEVER, cleaning staff does a great job with what they have. Old, stained, worn bedding, but SMELLED clean. Room has safe, fridge, microwave, which was handy. Good location, worked for what we needed. Stay there again? Probably not.

While walking into the checkin area I noticed that the pool was in disarray--dirty, not functioning. I had ordered a smoke free room and was told it was not available because of the recon- struction. We decided not to stay because of this. It would be helpful to know ahead of time if construction is occurring and will effect your room choice.

It is currently under renovation for everyone to enjoy with new facilities half of it is done already. The service was crapy.

Going to Kittery and Maine points in general, a decent place to stay. Nice Staff, clean rooms. Comfortable for the cost.

We needed a room for the night and the Rodeway Inn of Kittery was very nice. Quick, friendly, check in and a very comfortable room. Our short stay at the Rodeway was very satisfying.

Although it is being remodeled the hotel was clean. Convenience of getting to lobby area. And there was trash which caused insects outside the entrance to the hotel rooms. This hotel is currently being remodeled and will be nice place for families with children to stay. The hotel staff was very nice, the continental breakfast was fair, could use some additions. Overall, the hotel was clean on the inside, comfortable and practical.

This place was a pit. Once long ago it must have been a nice place, but not now. OUr had old water staains on the ceiling and walls. It looks like the owners are waiting for someone to buy the property for demolition

It is being renovated so things in the rooms are new. In the middle of the hall there was a ramp and a step in the same place, not marked, tripping hazard. No AC in the common areas, the pool was being maintenance, there wasn't an elevator yet on the third floor where I stayed there was a ramp in the hall which was split with a step up beside it, which made for a tripping hazard, not marked, don't know who thought of this. It is a work in progress, but they are trying.

Easy access. Over priced for a very low quality hotel. Very poor room. What a dump. Disappointing from the moment I drove up to the time I checked out. Would have been overpriced at a quarter of the cost. I probably don't have enough room to list every problem I found in the bathroom alone. The more I looked the more I found! The continental breakfast was a sad joke. The iron and ironing board I had to borrow from the front desk looked like something a college student would pack in their duffel bag. The entire building showed signs of neglect. The best part of the stay was leaving the parking lot. Only stay there as a last resort, there are much, much better hotels nearby. I know because I stayed in one of them my second night.

Pretty much everything, this place was dirty, smelly and understaffed, to name just a few complaints. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone for anything, save for truckers possibly. The place was falling apart, things didn't work, it was dirty, the carpets were completely stained, the continental breakfast was lacking and I really could go on with this but I haven't the time.

Convenient to highway. 2 lights were out and 1 was missing a light bulb. Air conditioning would be nice in the lobby, overall room was clean. Liked the refrigerator and microwave in the room.

Decent continental breakfast. Check-in too slow. Dark and dirty but no other options. Only one clerk to deal with 6 couples checking in. Smoking and non-smoking rooms across from one another. My toilet ran; my remote didn't work; no TV guide in the room.

Clean linens. Very shabby, smoke detector was removed. The beds were not too uncomfortable, but the other furniture was falling apart. It appeared that they were in a remodeling phase due to the rolls of carpet stacked outside. We had a smoking room which may have been way low on their priority.

Helpful and courteous staff, comfortable, clean, and spacious room. Thin towels and very sparse continental breakfast. Great value for the tired traveler.
