The room was quite large and clean for the price. Having a minifridge and microwave proved to be most useful.

Cheap, clean, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing. This was great for the price, clean, comfortable and within walking distance of where I needed to be. Front desk even gave directions.
Date of Stay:
November, 2008
The room was absolutely dirty, I found used condom under the bed, used tissues behind the TV, dirty carpet, dirty air conditioner. Unfriendly front desk at check out. An overall bad experience. I'll never stay at these hotels again.

Do not stay at this hotel if you expect to sleep at night. There is constant partying, construction, and police activity.

the hotel was the next block over from the Kodak Theater, Manns Chinese theater etc. the room was ok for the night, the ceiling has water damage from above, & the front door, you could see the light around the door from the outside, the people that stayed next door were going to the Nascar race as we were, but stood in front of our door all night , being loud & drunk, when we got up the next morning there was puke all over the sidewalk, nothing like seeing that first thing in the morning! I'd rather stay in the Roosevelt Hollywood Hotel, (it was booked because of the Oscars)

The beds were comfortable and clean. We received a courtesy bag with toiletries, which you don't usually get anymore. The traffic noise even during night, but I slept through. It is located one block from Hollywood Blvd. Near the Chinese Theater, and not too far from Runyon Canyon Park.

room was ok, didn't smell and was clean enough although had to call someone because couldn't turn water off in shower. parking was awful, little tiny parking lot, i got the last parking spot (actually the best) because they let me use the handicapped space. I will never stay there again just because of the parking.

The Hotel is in an excellent location two safe blocks from hollywood blvd, three street blocks down from santa monica blvd, access to shopping ross is a place a stoped alot for little odds and ends which is three blocks walking distance internet cafe also located in the plaza with ross and 7-11 there is a rite aid and food store all with in a 5 min walk. The actual hotel was clean the owners were really nice and polite were always willing to help and answer any questions. I traveled alone for the first time leaving the east coast going to Hollywood and I felt safe and no worries while I stayed in this hotel after the first two nights there I walked around like I was local. it was great I would book here again my next time going to LA the only thing is when I arrived the hotel did charge my credit card another 700 dollars for the stay just as a deposit which was already paid for but once I noticed that money was gone the hotel had back in my account the next business day just be aware to ask if there is any additional charges

This hotel is a walking distance to center of Hollywood, so it's very convenient. Also, there are many places to eat around the hotel. It's helpful for tourist who don't have a car.

Conveniant location. Parking was small, but there were more spaces next door to use. The room itself was small without a lot of room to move around if you have several people with you. We got a 2 queen sized bed room and needed a rollaway bed for a 5th and it was crowded in the room. But because of the location you can just walk out the door anytime and be within walking distance of anything you need.

would stay at again. just a standard hotel/motel good for a short stay. if your looking for fancy, pay more somewhere else

Staff:The hotel staff was very courteous and helpful, they even let me check in early for my convenience. Room:The hotel was a good size & clean. Bathrooms came w/ a good amount of towels and if more are needed they are very helpful in the front. Toiletries are also included in the room along with a microwave, mini fridge, ice bucket, and cups. If you are on 2nd floor, you can see the top of the Hotel Roosevelt...so, you're very close to all of the action on Hollywood Blvd, while far enough away for a great night's sleep.Parking: One car is allowed/room to park in the front lot all the rest must park in the side lot, no need to worry...that lot is monitored 24/7 by a surveillance system.Extras:There is free Wi-Fi in the rooms for those who have a laptop and a mini breakfast is also offered for free, if you wake up in time for it.Security:There are bars on the 1st floor rooms as well as well as deadbolts and latches on doors for added security, as there isn't a front gate...however, even staying alone, I felt truly secure.

tv didn't work. furniture was greasy and bathroom window didn't open. but it was close to hollywood blvd and the sheets were clean as was the bathroom. so for the price it was good

The room. Getting out to the road. The room was better than expected, but the parking was so small. Getting out into the road was a hassle.

Room wasnt that bad, is a little small, great for just one night. Didn't see any prostitutes when we were there. Staff was pretty nice.

The Rodeway Inn isn't the newest, cleanest, fanciest or most expensive hotel in Hollywood. It is not new, but it is recently renovated. It was fit for use, and clean enough to keep us from feeling uncomfortable or from feeling ripped off. It's not fancy, but the room had the expected facilities (iron, TV, clock radio, phone, etc.) although I would have liked to see a coffee pot in -room. There is a small, clean pool, which someone was actually swimming in, and I didn't hear screams of I'm blind! so I assume it was properly tended. It's not cheap. I will always prefer to spend a bit more for a little extra effort, and that is what I felt we obtained. We were there during the height of foriegn tourism, apparently, and heard no complaints from others. If you want to stay in a REAL dive, there are plenty in LA, and particularly in Hollywood. I would recommend this to anyone whose intention is to SLEEP in the room, and see Hollywood during waking hours.

I liked that the hotel was in a location in which I could walk to many places I wanted to go to. I did not like the bed, it was hard! This hotel was great for a one night stay in Hollywood. My tub was clogged. There was a homeless lady screaming outside which is not the hotel's fault but they did call security and handled the matter promptly. The staff was actually very accommodating and let us check in one hour early at no additional cost and even watched my luggage for a few hours when I had already checked out!

The hotel was easy to find and pretty clean. The rooms were small.

I chose to stay in this hotel because of it's central location. The Rodeway Inn is only two blocks from the Hollywood Walk of Fame, The Hollywood Wax Mueseum, Grauman's Chinese Theatre, and all the great shopping on Hollywood Boulevard. Throughout most of my trip, I was able to leave my car parked in thier parking lot, as I had wished, I wanted to do much of my sightseeing on foot. I am not picky about which hotel I stayed in, as long as it had a bed, an air conditioner and a shower. The hotel lacks fancy amentities, but then it is good on a economic price, especially for someone like me. I feel I made a good choice when selecting the Rodeway Inn, the pool and parking lot were quite small, but that is a given considering the age of the motel ( 1950's), as well as many of the other hotels on Sunset Boulevard. Many of the other hotels on Sunset Blvd. were actually not as kept up or as clean looking as the exterior of The Rodeway Inn. I give the hotel credit on that one. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting Hollywood for the first tiem and wants a fair price on a hotel room.

Very nice staff, very good location, bed very comfortable. Our room was not well located, in the fond of the hotel and we had the dirty bedsheets, just in front of our door, which was not convenient. Very nice hotel, not too expensive, very well located on sunset Boulevard at 10 minutes walk from the walk of frame, the Kodak Theater and other activities. Very comfortable bed. Very friendly staff. The only thing we didn’t like in this hotel was our room location, with the dirties bed sheets (to be sent to the laundry) just in front of our door, so it was not very convenient to go into the room and it was not a very nice view. Otherwise everything was great and I highly recommend this hotel.
