The room was clean and comfortable. The hot water facet in the bath could not be shut off. The hotel ice machine did not have ice in it at 6pm. The location was excellent and the staff very courtious. The Continental breakfast was basic with few selections. After all is said I will use the hotel next year when I visit Columbia.

Good to stay in. The parking. It is great. If you are going to stay and just take a ride around South Carolina it is an awesome place to stay.

I have stayed at the Rodeway twice, the first time when I came to Columbia for the bar exam and the second when I returned for Bridge the Gap. The price and location can't be beat. It is true that the hotel is run down, the elevator is slow, and the carpet stained. However, all I needed was a place to sleep and this certainly fit the bill. The sheets, towels, and bathroom were all perfectly clean. The garage is cramped, but free parking is still a nice bonus.

Staff was friendly and available. Hotel entrance is on a side street not accessible from the street address. Was last painted 50 years ago and building could do with a complete upgrade. Room was clean but rundown and the shower was laughable. Parking is across the street but there is an air of insecurity. Breakfast is not worth the name.

The property is very tired and the pool was closed (time of year). Should have probably paid a little more and stayed somewhere else.

Location, downstairs. Parking was scary, smelled, peeling wallpaper, andvagrants.

In my opinion the place was a dump. There were bumbs standing around the place at dusk, the pool area was filthy, and the room was not as nice as the photo portrayed. It did not seem to be a vary safe place. We did not even stay the night. We were not refunded any money when we told the manager the reasons we did not want to stay. This place was a bad experience for us.

Very friendly hotel staff. Two block from capitol and downtown. Free high-speed wireless. Needs new carpet, bed, accessories, wall. Just feels dirty. Wear your slippers/flipflops. Nothing fancy here, but it's a bed with cable, internet and covenient location if doing business at the capitol.

The Rodeway Inn Columbia, was very comfortable, the room was clean. It supplied wirerless internet service in the rooms and lobby area. The location was well placed for mt needs.

Rooms were clean. Hotel is in downtown area, quite desolate and unwelcoming at night. Parking garage under hotel was dark and creepy. Stay was adequare but would likely not return. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

For the price it was worth it. Was very comfortable, the room seemed much larger than most with a desk area and a table and two chairs. I liked the fact that the bathroom was separate from the vanity area and there was a sink with a long counter and there was adequate space for hanging clothes. The location was very good -- it was really only one long block to the capitol and there were restaurants very close.

Location and friendly staff. Oldness. I enjoyed my short stay here. I found exactly what i was looking for in a room.

Free Wi-Fi. Vertigo from gas leak in elevator lobby. The room had been redone recently but the new wallpaper was peeling from the wall. The basement elevator lobby smelled like a high school chemistry class and the elevator itself was very sketchy.

It kept me dry. There were cockroaches in the room! The room heater was a fan! This hotel was old & run down it had paint chipping on its exterior the elevator smelled like burnt grease. There was construction going on in the surrounding area all night (noisy).

The informative, friendly staff. It was awesome for the price!

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Okay for a very short stay. It was a very rough night, as well as they have limited parking. This hotel is okay in a tight spot and for the price.

The lobby and location. Elevator was slow. This hotel is a perfect location to the visit area of Columbia. The hotel was easy to find. I would park in an alternative garage if I had a nice vehicle or had to keep valuables in the car.

Great location for the price, friendly and helpful staff. The free continental breakfast was very weak. Great location for the price, friendly and helpful staff. I would definitely stay here again.

Location was very good. Somewhat old and rundown. Good value for the money.

Price and location. Parking and bathroom fixtures. For the price and ease of location in downtown Columbia, this hotel was a good match. The weekend and evening staff were a little lacking and the explanation of where and how to park was confusing.
