Access to our third-floor room was via a dimly-lit stairwell, which was only accessible from the rear of the building...no direct access to lobby/front desk without going outside. Room was mostly clean, with the exception of the thick layer of dust on the picture frame. Two light bulbs were out [does housekeeping clean these rooms in the dark?]. A/C worked well, and in-room microwave and fridge were great for heating/keeping our takeout meal. Flat-screen TV was OK, but had to move alarm clock from desk in order to plug in laptop [it was either the clock or the lamp--the one lamp that actually had both bulbs working--and I hate to work in the dark]. Then wi-fi wouldn't stay connected for over 30 minutes at a time [laptop was stationary]. Bed was comfortable, slept well...didn't even notice the thunderstorm that passed through overnight. Overall, it was OK for an overnight stay, but would've been unacceptable for longer visit.

The interior of the rooms was very clean/comfortable. The area around the entrance to rooms was poorly kept and needs improvement. Location very convenient to Cracker Barrel In ( Walking distance.) Very clean rooms with newly updated furnishings. Except for very untidy entrance area, I would surely recommend this hotel to friends.

For the amount of money charged for the room, the room was spacey, clean, and the beds were comfortable. The amenities were adequate. This hotel is adequate, the beds were comfortable, staff was pleasant, and the room was clean. For the money, you can't beat it.

The room was nice and open and the TV was nice. The shower needed to be replaced from where they had tried to fix it and it looked bad. The hotel was in an ok area and the staff was super freindly. The rooms were nice and the TV was awesome.

Location is good. Nasty hotel unsafe environment, drug works found laying among the property. Here you have it Super 8, is gone to pot the last visit. I was put on the 3rd floor. This place did not even have elevators for those who can't climb up stairs. 6 trips from car to upload our personal stuff up, 3 flights of stairs exhausted, the room was ok but the air-condition was noisy. The door to the room could not properly lock if did had a time unlocking it, not safe if event of a fire, bathroom tub had black mold growing. This is not the first Super 8 hotel I stayed with. They all are the same nasty, dirty floors, sticky on bottoms of your feet. Since I did not complain to the front desk about this, so I got the brush off. I do not recommend this place. There was the police in the area probably due to the crime going on drug sales and needles laying about the property etc.

The flat screen TV. The doors opening and closing were extremely loud. This hotel was located west of downtown but it was an easy drive. I was surprised to see the new flat-screen TV in my room. There was no place to plug in my ethernet cord so I tried to use the wireless network but I would continually get disconnected after 3 to 5 minutes, all night long. That was frustrating. When I woke up in the morning I had a bug bite behind my knee and when I got home I had another bite and found the culprit, which looked like a tiny tick. I'm almost certain it came from the hotel bed.

It smelled like urine throughout the halls. There was not enough coffee and the halls smelled bad. It was as if someone urinated throughout the place.

Very comfortable bed. Stale smoke and doughnuts; lack of attentiveness by lobby clerks. I'm glad I got a discount; its okay, but certainly not the best Super 8 I've been to. Very convenient location, very comfortable bed, clean shower. Stale doughnuts and powder creamer coffee, not to mention lack of ventilation for smokers, and skip-the-details front desk help were the detractors from an otherwise alright stay. 3rd floor location with no elevator forced me to get some much needed exercise!

Plasma television in hotel room. Dirty stairwells and door knobs, dangerous area, very thin walls. NA.

The room was very clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. This hotel met my expectations regarding the location and the cleanliness, I will strongly recommend it for people wishing to spent couple days and visit the Smoky Mountains.

Staff friendly, helpful with map and directions. The stairs going to second floor really dirty was not cleaned during my stay. I found the room to be clean and seemed to be freshly decorated. I liked the flat screen TV.

The outward appearance was nice. This facility is tired and worn out. While any super 8 motel is not the top of the line accommodations, this motel was quite worn. The exterior of the property was reasonably modern and maintained. The lobby was clean and well lighted with average decor. However, the room I had appeared to be updated last during the 1970's. They had not changed the carpet in years! The repair of hole in the wall behind the door (from the door knob) was amateurish at best.

Clean, very convenient to everything, staff was excellent, bed was very comfortable. Excellent location, would stay there again.

Convenient location, easy to find the hotel. Far below than my expectation. I was a little disappointed at the whole condition of the hotel I stayed. With the rate I paid I expected a little more fancy service.

Nice new flat screen TV. Rest of the room, not so "new" looking/ feeling. Great deal for a place to sleep!

Very quiet, clean and lots of eating places nearby. Needed to have more breakfast stuff. Very good place to stay. Secure and close to everything.

The staff was very helpful and the coffee was good. The bed could use a new mattress. It was very clean; it was in a good location.

Convenient to interstate. Extreme smoke in halls and rooms. Room would have been adequate for a one night stay and was very convenient to the interstate. However, we were placed in a smoking room (which was all that was available). The entire hall and room were filled with a lot of smoke. Hotel seemed to be in a safe area but cops were called during the night because a car in the parking lot got their windshield knocked out.

Convenient to interstate, grocery stores. Small, cramped rooms. The front desk person was helpful but didn't exude friendliness. The housekeeper ignored the do not disturb sign on the door and knocked on the door at 9:30 a.m. to tell us she was ready to do our room. Access to our room was inconvenient as we had to walk through the dirt and a row of hedges to get to the door from the parking lot. The ice machine was hard to find and the vending machine didn't have much choice for cold drinks. Also, the machine only took quarters as compared to most other motels, which have more modern vending machines that take either change or dollar bills and which clearly display the drinks available. The vending machine was in a poorly lit corner of the motel below a staircase.

For the price I paid it was excellent and clean. Nothing, it exceeded my expectations. There is some construction on the highway where you have to exit, but traffic was not too bad. The room looked like it was just re-modeled and was really nice. There is a microwave and refrigerator and a store right down the street so that was nice too. The staff was nice and there's a computer in the lobby available 24/7. It's 10 min. from downtown Asheville. We had a great time and had no problems.
