This was our second stay at the hotel. We very much enjoyed it. We were eating out so did not have dinner (altho we did have dinner last time and it was very good). The room was excellent, hot tub great even in January! Everything is catered for in a low key but very good/ professional way. Breakfast was excellent as was the service at breakfast.I havent commented on value for money as I think it is such a unique experience that it is difficult to put a cost on that.

We had a basement room , but it was very bright , warm and spacious. On arrival we were met by a friendly lady who showed us to our room and briefly explained all the essential information. The staff were extremely pleasant and attentive and the whole atmosphere of the hotel was one of relaxation. Our visit was between Christmas and Hogmanay and we wanted a few quiet, restful days . We really appreciated the way the hotel was run and the professionalism of all members of staff. Meals were delicious and we liked the ambiance of the dining room, spectacular views over an icy landscape. Expensive but worth every penny!

Our welcome at the hotel was very good. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. It was a pity our stay was so short. The restaurant, bar and loung areas were excellent.

Excellent service. Food was imaginatively presented and quite complicated at dinner. At breakfast the smoked salmon and scrambled egg was very salty indeed. Most of the smoked salmon could not be eaten. Our waitress told my wife "that's all right don't worry about leaving it"!!!!! She should have been worrying about it not being of top quality and not being edible by a customer. The explanation given was that it was 'privately' smoked at the Inverlochy Castle smokery. The rest of the food and other breakfasts were very good indeed. Breads were very good as were the cocktails! Room 9 was just great. we will definitely revisit this excellent hotel where service is a priority.

Definite wow-factor hotel, although prices reflect this. We had Room 5 with balcony and small hot-tub - great for views over the River Ness. Great staff and good place to choose for a one-off special occasion. Food in hotel restaurant fantastic and reasonable price given standard. Wine prices mainly eye-watering but some decent affordable bottles listed as well. Overall, a memorable experience.

This is my second visit to this hotel - absolutely fantastic. Paid extra for a decadent room. Worth every penny; great bathroom and fabulous Molton Brown products. The Late Room rate was very good, considering this hotel is first class.

The hotel is easy to find and is in a quiet part of Inverness within walking distance of centre. The room are fantastic, spacious, luxurious and the bathroom in our decadent room was fantastic. The service from the staff is excellent and they are very friendly and down to earth. We found that the restaurant, whilst beautiful is a little bit pricey for what you get and the wine list prices are fairly ridiculously expensive. There are deals to be had for DBB but we were B&B only so the price of the meal is a little bit eye-watering! however the quality of the food is excellent and is of the fare you would expect for a boutique hotel. The bar prices are a little on the high side but the quality of the spirits etc is very high and the surroundings are great. Overall this was a fantastic experience and we would definately save up and come back again for a special occasion. The little touches that this hotel does makes the whole experience so worth while and makes you feel like royalty! Particularly impressive Continental breakfast also!

Lovely hotel, excellent food and very frienly and attentive staff. Even the owner went to great lengths to make us feel valued and appreciative! The rooms are very well appointed, especially the bathrooms. Location is very handy, withing easy walking distance of the centre of Inverness, and great view over the town!. Our only (slightly!) negative comments relate to some of the fittings in the room / hotel, and these are incredibly minor! In fact, its almost a shame to point them out after such a wonderful stay! But possibly mentioning them here may result in a great hotel becoming even better!1. The emergency light fittings installed throughout the hotel are of surprisingly industrial quality, when compared to the conventional lighting elsewhere. These could have been chosen to match the rest of the high quality light and electrical fittings, rather than the most basic plastic bulkheads with stick on exit legends. As well as being installed in the public areas, these fittings are also installed in both the bedrooms and the bathrooms, so are quite prominent!2. The audio system for the plasma screen in the room is a bit complex, with less than impressive results. The satellite speakers are set to the left of the screen, and the cables are barely long enough to site the speakers left and right. And the rear surround speakers are wired into the bathroom, meaning you cant (as far as we could see!) play music in the bathroom without having it blaring in the bedroom! We also spent about half an hour getting the audio set up to play the proper soundtrack language on a film we borrowed from reception! In its default state, there was no dialogue. The system is a nice idea, but its a bit complex, and yields only average results, wheras it could be simple and yield \"WOW\" surround sound!2 very very minor points, that didnt detract from a great visit. Heartily recommend! Will look forward to our next visit!

Great location and easy to walk downtown to shops. The rooms are beautiful and the boutique size of the hotel allows for great customer service and very individualized attention. Every request we made was met with a smile and prompt handling. I would highly recommend paying the additional charge to have dinner included with your room. The dinners were gourmet and some of the best food I have ever had at a hotel! This was an extra unexpected bonus for our stay.

The Hotel was absolutely beautiful. The decor was fabulous, very glamorous but chic and not at all tacky. The room was superb even though it was a basement room. The bathroom was to die for. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone but I don't think it's suitable for children really, which is fine not every hotel is. It was nice to be able to stay somewhere so romantic and lovely.

We wanted a relaxing break in exceptional surroundings and that’s exactly what we got. The Rocpool Reserve is a superb boutique hotel, which we would recommend to anyone looking for a special break. Opulent rooms, attentive staff and an indulgent atmosphere all added to the feeling that we were special quests.

We booked a decadent room for #200 which was #50 cheaper than advertised, excellent value. The room quality was fantastic with loads of space, two plasma TV's, mini bar and a great bathroom. We had room 4 which was (I gather) above the kitchen as we saw and heard kitchen staff chatting etc. after hours. Whilst this was annoying it did not detract from the overall experience. The food quality is good but pricey but judging by the cars in the car park ( DB9, two jags and three BMW's) very popular, my poor peugeot looked very lonely! The staff are very friendly and cannot do enough. A nice touch is the free voucher for two drinks (worth about #15) and the lovely Molton Brown toiletries in all rooms. All in all this hotel is 100% quality in every area, decadent is not a strong enough adjective to desribe how we felt. Rooms 5 (full heated balcony over the River Ness) and room 10 (Hot Tub) are my target for our next stay, because we will be back. Go on, indulge yourself, there's nowhere better!

The attention to detail in both the room and the dining room was second to none. It definately deserves the 5 star rating. Dinner was outstanding both in quality and presentation.

modern high class hotel with fine touches - highly recommended for a business or leisure stay in Inverness. I had to leave very early to catch a flight, they prepared a wonderful breakfast at 5am whilst concierge organised my taxi and baggage.
