Was not impressed at all. There was construction going on so the pool was closed. Their breakfast is not included like most hotels. You can definately tell it's an old hotel. I will not be staying there again.

Location was perfect, room was spacious and comfortable. Parking was expensive and they do not validate. It was a perfect location in downtown St.Louis. We walked everywhere or took the metro link for under $5.00. Room was comfortable and clean.

The hotel was absolutely gorgeous and a perfect location for our purpose--seeing a concert and some of the downtown area. I loved the traditional exterior of the hotel and the fantastic staff, but also the updated rooms, although a bit small, they worked for a couple. The only negative was that we woke up to construction outside our window but we were to exhausted to let it keep us up. Overall, I would stay there again.

The hotel and the staff were very nice and professional. Our main issue was that there was little or no water pressure in the shower or even the bathtub in the morning. I'm not sure if this was a regular occurrence but certainly impeded on our stay.

I picked the Mayfair because of a great (too good to be true) rate, and because on a previous trip to St. Louis, my wife and I, who were staying elsewhere, had cocktails in the Mayfair bar and found the hotel warm, welcoming and richly historic. When I arrived, however, I saw the place through different eyes. The hotel definitely is showing its age, particularly at the reception desk. My first room was terrible. As soon as I walked through the door, the first thing I saw was the back of a huge entertainment center which was facing the bed. This made the room seem like a broom closet. So claustrophobic. I immediately asked for another room. The second choice led me down a corridor that was marked with deep scratches on the wallpaper on both sides of the hallway, like some college football players had just carelessly moved lots of heavy furniture. The room itself was musty smelling, dusty, and extremely hot. I tried to work the thermostat to cool it down, but it remained blazing hot. The third room, the King Suite, was pretty good. The bed was great. The two flat screen TVs were nice, but the decor seemed like 80s Holiday Inn.The staff were very nice and accommodating and seemed to know they were working against the hotel to please the customers. I recommend the owners/operators spend some money to bring this historic hotel up to a level that does it justice.I hope my next Wyndham stay, next week in Chicago, is better.

It was very clean and quiet. Motel was nice, clean and quiet. Hotel parking lot was full so had to park 3 blocks away in a open lot, with no security over night.

All in all charming older hotel. Staff very accomodating and friendly. Room service, food cold, dining room food good , a bit pricey for offerings compared to local competition. Rates were good on the room.

The hotel is undersome renovations, so parking was a bit tricky, but we ended up with good spots each time. The city was amazing, I understand that there has been a lot of effort up into renovation, which definately show. I would stay at the Mayfair on my next visit.

Location was adequate for attending Cardinals game & walking distance. Construction, pool was closed, elevators were small, room was small & stuffy. The motel's pool was closed for construction; unable to upgrade our 1 king size bed for 2 double beds; the king size bed was only a queen size; the room was very small & strange with the entertainmentTV center in the middle of the room facing the bed, but ended up being very little room to even walk around; too much construction all over the place on this location site!

Room nicely updated. Staff was friendly. Unfortunately, they left out the details - no valet parking or bellman. Had to park on the street, unload, check in, then drive down the street and park in an independent parking lot. In room coffee maker was not functioning and obviously had not for some time. Great continental, old world feel in the commons, but updated, modern rooms.

The hotel was very historic upon entering, but the rooms were updated to a chic, modern feel. Bed was great, flat screen was wonderful. Location was great for Busch Stadium. Hotel should validate parking.

Location was great as I could walk to the convention center in 5 minutes. A lot of litle things wrong from coffee machine not cleaned each day, trash wasn't emptied each day. It didn't seem much time was spent on keeping the place as clean as I am used to a Whyndham Hotel being.

"It's a neat, historic hotel. The rooms lack a few things that are now standard in most hotels...small fridge, two phones; do't know what stage the renovations are at, but we had empty wall brackets, missing moulding, a few things like that. Comfy, quiet stay, but not deluxe. Borderline good value. Good access to Metrolink."

Location and size of room. No vending machines. Had to go to hotel next door. Room was huge and clean. Bed was comfortable. The only downsides to this hotel was the construction next door and no vending machines. Staff was friendly.
