The overall decor of the hotel is very nice, however, the service and staff are not very good. The pool is very small and lounge chairs are limited. Overall, it's an ok hotel for a little R&R.

I love the overall atmosphere, upscale and fun. Pool chairs go fast and they can be hard to get. Pool staff could have been more attentive. I loved the hotel and can¿t wait to go back with someone special, but as well as with the girls for a spa weekend. The guests were very nice and overall the experience was great. Would recommend securing a spot at the main pool as soon as possible as the chairs go fast!

My husband and I decided to stay at the Riviera for our one year anniversary. When we first arrived, I was very impressed with the decor. It was very sheek and modern. As we were walking up the stairs, we noticed that there was a lot of dirt and sand on the steps, but thought it was due to the wind. We stayed there for 3 days and the steps remained dirty the entire time. I never saw anybody in the hallways to vacume or clean. As we walked to our room, there was an tray from another guest's room on the floor. I presumed it was from the room service they ordered for lunch. To our dismay the next morning we left and saw the tray at the same spot. We decided to have drinks at the Sidebar that night and the food was very good. Our waitress was very attentive and the ambiance was superb. Our first night was horrible. Around 1 or 2 am, there were drunk people walking down the hallway shouting. We could hear everything they were saying and it carried on for at least 30mins. The walls are definitely very thin at this hotel. Each time the door of another room shut close, we we nearly jumped out of the bed. The following day we decided to hang out at the pool. It was a very busy day there and all the lounge chairs were taken up. We sat at the Bikini Bar, hoping to get some decent service and drinks. We waited for nearly 30 minutes and could not get a waitress to serve us. We even flagged down an employee and he just pointed at the server and walked away. We then decided to sit at the bar and try our luck there. We sat next to a couple that told us it took them an hour and half to get their food. That is just ridiculous! Our last day, we went to the restaurant for some breakfast. It took them awhile to serve the food we had ordered. People who were seated after us were getting their food before us. My husband approached the manager and asked him about our food. All he replied was that if we ordered already then the food will come out. After we finished our meal, we waited anoth

The Riviera Resort was a great place to stay for the weekend. A bit overloaded for the 4th of July weekend (sold out)but the staff remained friendly and helpful for any request. Rooms were nicely decorated with Excellent beds and very clean. If you want a balcony,make sure you ask ahead of time.Beautiful pool area that stays open late. This property has everything you need. Park the car and enjoy.

The majority of the employees were helpful and more than happy to help. The rooms were gorgeous. Service at the pool during peak hours was ridiculous. We waited an hour for a drink, and didn't get the food we ordered at all.

I love the design of the resort from the room to the sitting areas which are located throughout the facility. If you love decor, you'll love this place. It even gets better, the the bed, bedding and pillows were lovely to sleep on. the only problem I had was the pillow cases. Whatever they use in the laundry set off my allergies. I don't know if they use bleach or some other chemical, it was very strong. I removed the pillow cases and then slept wonderfully.

Went for 4th of July weekend. We wanted a place with a great pool and fun atmosphere. They had a DJ and there were plenty of people - which turned into a problem. I was one of dozens and dozens of guests who were not able to get a pool chair. The room looked cool - but the air conditioner caused some problems, too. it was extremely loud, and turned on and off all night long. Had a horrible nights sleep on what would have been a really comfortable bed. Management was very helpful and gave us a 50$ credit to use at the pool bar. Too bad, a few little fixes and it would be a cool place to visit again.

They charge all guests an extra $25 for use of hotel amenities - not impressed. This hotel is not close to downtown - it is about a $10 cab fare away.

I was blown away by the new Riviera. The pork belly appetizer was amazing, the pool was beautiful, the service was professional and kind. And, the bathroom was gorgeous! I'll definitely be returning to this destination.

Beautiful hotel and grounds. July 4th weekend was very busy and the staff was overwhelmed. Ran out of liquor, had to wait for food, service was not top priority.

Great pool. Circa 59 food was terrible. Great pool, great rooms, friendly staff but the restaurant was terrible all 3 times we ate there. Plus there is no mention of the $25 per day resort fee until you check out.

We spent only one night at the Riviera in Palm Springs but it was an excellent experience. The hotel has been reopened after extensive renovation and it is great. Well appointed rooms, modern decor throughout and a very nice pool area. On site restaurant, bars and a huge spa with many sevices also available. From the crowd on a Saturday night, the place semed to be very popular. A great place to stay if your in the Palm Springs area. Will definetly stay there again.

We were so glad we stayed at the Riviera Resort and Spa. It is so stylish, so "Palm Springs"! All of the staff were amazing. The bed was luscious. Our room was large and beautiful. The bathroom had a gorgeous shower as well as large stand-alone tub. But the pool was the highlight. The warm water and the fire pits made us wish we could hang there all day. Sipping cocktails under the stars all evening was just dreamy. We didn't want to leave the hotel the whole time. My only concern was that some of the room fixtures seemed a bit cheap and might not hold up well in the future. But so far so good!

My spouse and I enjoyed our Sunday - Tuesday stay. They had a very young hip crowd on Sunday for their Bikini Bar/Pool party. We enjoyed watching the spectacle (although the smoking in the pool area is quite hateful). Monday and Tuesday were calm and quiet. The property is decorated in retro 50's Glam done very well. Our room was very clean and the bed was great (the pillows are the best we've every encountered). The bathroom had a separate soaking tub. Make sure you know what the "jack pac" for the media station means. We didn't have the cabling to port our IPod or computer into their system (we'd never seen this setup previously). We'll be better prepared next trip. The restaurant was reasonably priced. I had the Pre-fix dinner ($35.00) and it was delightful. It included a complementary glass of champagne (very drinkable) with our meal. The spa is well appointed the treatment rooms are lovely but the co-ed Buddha relaxation room is divine...it's full of glam and yet very relaxing. We enjoyed our stay and the staff was excellent!

I checked orbitz before booking our hotel and read the reviews. Looks like the previous review highlighting inadequate service was spot on. To provide a balanced review, here were good points: booked a pool view room but none were available upon check, they compensated by upgrading us to a junior suite (very nice). Circa 59 doesn't allow you to book reservations on the weekend online - call ahead, it fills up fast (great food, pricey). For the negative - they didn't have enough servers working the pool area (5 folks serving over 200) on Saturday. They also allow folks who live out in town to use the pool (?) so there wasn't any room for folks staying there to put their towel down (at 10:00 AM on a Saturday). Also, they scheduled a fashion show in the lobby on Friday night which was odd - as you had to literally walk down the runway to exit the resort. All in all, it has great potential, but until service improves, not worth 4 star prices.

It was very modern. Air conditioning went out in room. Pool was too crowded and staff was sub-par. The hotel did not meet my expectations. We were upgraded to a junior suite, which was nice, but with a very poor view. The hotel was very modern but the details were not there. For example, there was a large hole in the wall in our bathroom and the sinks did not drain well. Theair conditioner went out and we had a difficult time getting staff to change our room. We went from a junior suite into a regular room which was nice. The pool was nice but very crowded. It was hard to find a chair. Virtually impossible to get the waitress and she was very unfriendly.

Great hotel. Hip finishes...loved the decor. Pool was fun. Great people watching. Only downfall was the bum bed that we got that had a slope to to it.
