I went to do Missionary work for the Lord Jesus, the location speaks for itself, because it's right on the strip. Great deal for the location. Staff offered me early check-in which was a great courtesy.

The location near the end of the strip was good.

If you are expecting to stay in one of the newly remodeled rooms with the flat screen TV's and new comfortable beds, think again. The room you get online is one of the old standard rooms. To get one of the newly remodel rooms you will be asked to play an extra $ per day to get one of them. The room was OK, but now what I expected. Check-in will take you some time. Only two people working the desk. Not much in that area of Vegas anymore. Buy the three day bus pass for $15.00, great deal. Go see Terry Fator at the Mirage, great show.

We had a great room that was recently renovated. Nice view of the strip too. My wife was at a conference in the hotel so it was very convenient. Saw the Ice show in the hotel and the show was great but the seating was the old fashion cocktail seating and not conducive to a straight on view. Buy your tickets at the half price booth just outside the hotel instead of from the hotel box office.

Two of my girlfriends and I stayed at the Riviera Hotel from Wednesday to Friday and got an amazing price (literally half the price compared to many other hotels on the Strip, even the cheaper ones). It is an old hotel, not very impressive from the outside, the casiono is old and tacky but the rooms have been renovated and are very clean and pretty stylish with super comfortable beds. Our check in was horrible; even though there was NOBODY at the reception we were asked to wait behind the line and then to check in ourselves while the front desk "assistant" was standing in front of us doing God knows what but apparently it was waaay more more important than making the hotel guests feel at least a little welcome! I would probably still consider staying there again because the price is unbeatable, like I said before beds very comfortable and it's walking distance from the Wynn, Encore, Venetian and many other much cooler hotels. However if you're looking for more than just a clean comfortable room and want to spend more time at your hotel you can definitely find nicer ones.

Smell. Upon check in, I selected the non smoking room. However the room a strong smoke order and the bed cover was so stained it was not fit to sit on. Never again!

The Riviera Hotel and Casino was the hotel of my choice. It has recently been remodeled inside and is very nice. The only problems I encountered was the TV remote in the room didn't work and the ice machine in the hallway leaked creating a large water hazard for the guests. There is major building going on in the area so it was difficult to walk on the sidewalks with construction barriers and blockage. The cost for taxis is outrageous, suggest the use of what they call "The Deuce", this is the local bus system. The cost for a one time trip is $3.00 and you can get a 24 hour pass for $7.00, which I used, along with some of the shuttles provided by the different hotels and casinos. They have a 24 hour snack shop and also a 24 hour coffee shop. They also have a rather huge casino full of slots from 1 cent up to $5.00, and the saying is true, the money I took to Vegas, stayed in Vegas.....lol. Nice hotel, I would stay there again.

I thought the hotel was excellent! The room was modern looking and clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and courteous. I think as hotel that has been on the strip for 50 years it deserves some credit for keeping the hotel modern and accomadating. It is located in a good part of the strip where you can easily walk to get what you need. I would definitely stay there again when the oppurtunity arrives for me.

The room was beautiful and comfortable. Too far down the strip of attractions. We were in the new tower and the room was beautiful! My husband I and loved the bed and pillows. Usually we couldn't wait to go home and be in our own bed but not this time. Great room!

I was pleased with the room I got in at the low price..Nice king size bed with a flat screen tv.. I was disappointed in the service fee of $3.50 service fee for energy use.. Seedy crowd at night in the casino but plenty of security...Nice stay in all.. would be back in again

I frequently visit VEGAS for both business and pleasure and usually stay Downtown, occationally at SAM'S TOWN, and rarely on the Strip. The RIVIERA comped my stay and the room itself was the nicest I've ever experienced. However, MILLER GENUINE DRAFT (MGD) was not available at any casino bar. The bar tenders had no explanation, "pushed" some other brew that I'd never heard of, and were, generally, unpleasant "air heads." Will I return? Not likely. And certainly not until they resume serving MGD.

This hotel looks find at first glace but the rooms are a whole different thing. I surf the net looking at the reviews and room pictures and it looked just fine so I booked it bad idea. I think I got the worst room in the hotel North tower room 233 don't ever take this room. This room is located in between the main air conditioner system and the laundry room, too much noise and no view to strip.

Convenience to UNLV for my conference. Pool was closed at sunset and closed extra while I was there. Hotel room was very clean - my check in was very fast others waited for 1 1/2 hours. Pool closes at sunset - this is ridiculous, and it was closed all day on Sunday due to glass in the pool from the night before - seems like they could have gotten it cleaned up faster.

I stayed at the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas during my son's Spring break and had a good experience. The staff was very courteous and helpful. I found easy access from the freeway and the rooms were clean. I paid $* for 3 nights but I was added a $3.81 for a power surcharge per night, which it's a little surprising when you think you are done being charged. No coffee maker in my room but I found a little fridge which is nice. The bathroom had a faulty light and fan. And the housekeeper lost the TV remote control one day. But I enjoyed the LCD screen TV and the pool. The access to the parking lot is a little of a walk but the was plenty of parking spaces. I would return to the Riviera in the future for the reasonable rates and good service.

A long wait in line just to check in when arriving late, then being told your room is not ready! This is at midnight I'm talking about! Hotel invites me to linger around at coffee shop, while room is prepared, I said: No, thanks. Then they invite me to put my bags in not ready room, but room appears already made, except for trash not cleaned from trash cans. No no-smoking rooms available. The hallways stink of smoking... Construction noise from the hotel or from adjacent construction bothers in the early morning. There is no cooler, refrigerator, microwave, etc. in room. Guests discouraged from eating anywhere but in the hotel's own restaurants.

this hotel wants nothing to do with its guest ,when you check in there is only a machine ,no direction to you room or nothing you are on your own, dont expect to park in there parking lot even thou you are a guest, they let any body on the strip park there,we had to park at circus circus aross a busy highway and run across the street to our hotel because there was never any parking, the room was filty ,,gum stuck on the walls and paint peeling ,carpet was gross dont take your shoes off.when complained to front desk they laughed about the parking and said yah its hard .there were broken glasses and a garbage bucket with puck in it in the hall way for two days ,which we had to pass bye it everyday.please look for another hotel on the stip ,i would hate for other guest to have to endore what we did.

All they workers know how to stay is we cann't help you. They do not all at care about the guest. They won't even mapquest you directions. You have to pay for wireless service and if u ask the front desk about it they have no clue. I have never had such bad service. The asian food place was horrible. They give us 2 out 3 of our plates and not even all of their food, than took about 15 mins to bring us the rest of the food and my plate, that the messed up on. I had to get up to get my own fork. Than told them the pop tasted funny, the lady took a drink of it in front of us. How nasty is that? Sold us tickets 4 day before this show and my husband got his tickets the same day as show, went to go to show. Guess what no show. All the said is here is your money back. We cann't help you, kind of yell at us like it was our felt we waste our day because we had a show at 5 to watch. I would never stay there again, even if it was free.

I did stay 7 nights in Vegas, 4 nights at BALLY'S and 3 night at Riviera. Because of the high rate for 4th of July, we moved to Riviera. The room was too small, King size bed was not a real king size, I could hear every single word people talking in the next door room. Even worse, I've got lots of flea bites on my shoulders and soles. :( It was cheap though.. If there were not fleas in the room and it was not 4th of July(high rate!), maybe I would recommend this hotel. Cheap, still on the main strip, etc.
