We came to town for a kid free night away, opted to pay extra for the "view" of the river walk and ended up with a view of the dead end and a construction site. That was our wake up call at 7am, jack hammers and diesel engines. If a view is what you are looking for, go somewhere else, otherwise go for the king sized bed and some ear plugs.

Kind of walking distance from the attractions. No room service after a certain time.

Staff was helpful in directing us, though sometimes they assume you know more than you do, when it comes to location. It was a good choice, & we would certainly recommend it to others. Two senior citizens

The staff was very friendly, helpful. Location was great....could just cross the street and get on riverwalk! Would definately stay at Riverwalk Plaza again!

Check-in took ages, but otherwise good stay from staff perspective. Reclycling at breakfast by dishwashing rather than the plastic disposable nightmare we encountered was upsetting - needlessly plastic for basic breakfast items.

A bit far from the tourist attractions, did not feel comfortable walking to see the sights as we had hoped we could do. This hotel was a few block off the Riverwalk, but when walking at night to find a restaurant, we didn't feel safe on the streets. We made it to the river walk safely, but decided to take a cab back to the hotel.

This hotel was a little far from the main part of the Riverwalk, but not extremely so. It was quiet so we did not have to hear the noise from the Riverwalk all night. When we first checked in, we were given a room that someone was already in. That person was smoking profusely, even though the description stated all rooms were non-smoking. This was very important as we have a young child with asthma. The rooms were nice enough. The free continental breakfast was very nice and in the hotel restaurant. The parking garage was tight and small with a drive that had weird angles and blind spots. It was okay for the one night stay we had.

Couldn't find our reservation but friendly staff, wireless internet in lobby only but internet with a cable in your room if you can get it to work (we couldn't), no water or pretzels in room and we didn't ask, DIRTY lobby (no upgrades here) was our first impression especially the floors and the floors in the breakfast eating area were almost as bad (get some bleach and scrub them please), the beds were terribly uncomfortable and looked nothing like all of the photos on your site or theirs, kick plates missing on room doors and older dirty carpeting. New tile in bath and entry however if they don't learn to scrub them they'll soon be dirty too (already showing wear). Newly remodeled bathrooms (nice) and entry area, new ceiling but low w/crown molding (looks odd w/low ceilings), new drapes, new wallpaper, new headboards, but old beds/bedding. Very old furniture with new granite tops. Someone in the lobby complaining about his room not looking like the photos on their website and wanted a new room (bad sign). Good for us - Continental breakfast: cereal, milk, muffins, juices, bagels, fruit, etc. Garage parking 2 floors with basement parking for overflow: cramped, but had a feeling of being safe. Probably wouldn't stay here again becuase of bed/bedding (back and neck still hurt - felt every spring of the thin/old mattress) and lack of cleanliness (floors).

The hotel was located close to restuarants, Riverwalk, sites and downtown. It was an easy walk to anything we needed to do, including our meetings. It was under some renovations, so there was no restaurant or gift store - but they had a nice, complimentary breakfast to make up for those things. It was quiet and clean - and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Location was ideal, parking access was great. Hotel is quaint a nice place to stay for a leisure weekend of sightseeing and shopping. Quick access to river walk.

I was a little nervous on the way to my room because the halls and elevators seemed run down. The room turned out to be nice though. The hotel is at the far end of the riverwalk, so it was quiet, and the walk to downtown attractions was reasonable. I was not at all impressed with the staff. They didn't give me a good orientation and I had to ask about every little thing. Parking was an extra $12 per day and the garage was tight hard to manuver in, even with a small toyota corolla. Next time I will pay extra and stay in a major hotel.

This hotel has no room service. The restraunt is only to serve the breakfast which is only cereal, bread stuffs and fruit. Hotel seemed slightly run down. The rooms were clean and had a fridge and safe big enough to hold my laptop. I WOULD stay here again. The hotel was across the street from the riverwalk. However, there is not much of a view. My room looked out on the pool area. Best things about the hotel was the location (walking distance from the riverwalk), it had a "safe" garage to park my car in (* a day) and gave a free breakfast (breakfast was cold food like cereal, fruit, bread etc FREE). Not much else...

well, i was a little deceived by the location. I was lead to believe it was on the riverside closest to the restaurants,. that was false, but it still was not a bad walk. everything was w/in walking distance. The staff was very friendly and helpful. the pool hours were short and the parking was absolutely terrible. they did not monitor well enough b/c we saw cars taking up 2 spaces and ones w/o parking permits... but i was cheaper than driving and parking anywhere else. the outside id deceiving as well. it looks a little shady but the rooms are actually nice.overall a good stay and i would recommend this hotel to someone.

The room remodeling was great. Parking garage not great. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The area the hotel is located is being renovated but it did not take away from our stay. The hotel is at the end of the Riverwalk, but it was pleasant to walk down to the nightlife area. Two thumbs up.

Clean room, front desk not very friendly , and i don't like that they charged for the parking in the hotel

We chose to stay at the Riverwalk Plaza based on price, but I would have gladly paid more at another hotel to receive some essentials I found this hotel lacking. The front desk staff were not particularly friendly or helpful during check-in. After finding that the hairdryer was broken, I went to the phone to call down and see if it could be replaced - only to find that the phone did not work. We informed two staff members about the problem before leaving for several hours. When we came back, nothing had been done. The room was clean and fairly nice. The issues with the hair dryer and phone were minor inconveniences, but they became a reason not to stay at this hotel again because they were not important to/ignored by the staff. If you're looking to be catered to (or generally taken care of) during your hotel stay, I suggest seeking an alternative.

The hotel was easy to find and out of the way of all the crowds. It was also very secure when it comes to unauthorized access. It was within walking distance of all the major attractions, which was really convienent. The only thing I really didn't like was the thin walls. We could hear the neighbors talking and yelling at their kids.

Location, atmoshere. Dark walk at night to riverwalk, cramped parking but still better than driving every where. Very pleased with stay was very sceptical about parking and pastrentovations done. We got a room with 2 beds but wanted a single bed for our stay and had no problems at all get switched to a different room. It only took about 10 min to get 1st room and not even that to switch,we even got a king size bed with fridge newer remodeled and pool side.

the outside of the hotel is not that appealing. the rooms are nice and the bed was comfortable. continental breakfast was very good. i believe the hotel, in their ammenities, said they had a bar and they did not. the river is across the street. parking is in the building. this is a good priced hotel for its location.

It only has 1 lane so you take your chance with oncoming cars. The garage is junked up with all the overflow furniture from the hotel. You can't make a complete circle in the garage either. Horrid! We tried 2 seperate rooms, but they each smelled like paint laquer. Hotel staff assured us they were painted 6 weeks ago and "shouldn't" smell. We slept with the a/c on high and the windows open. However, there is construction right outside so we woke up to hammering and the beeping sounds of large trucks manueving back and forth. The vanity legde is so small I could not get all of my toiletries out at one time. The beds are new but not soft. The maid "forgot" to leave towels after she cleaned the room. The room looks nice and it is clean but not worth staying in with all the other problems.
