For the most part the motel was nice. Had a great view and the staff was excellent. There were a few loose tiles on the bathroom floor and not enough towels for the 3 of us. The staff supplied us will everything we needed and they were very accomodating. I would stay again.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The toilet chain wasn't connected to handle so had to flush by lifting tank lid and doing it by hand. This hotel was simply okay. I wasn't expecting much because it's rated as a 2 or 3 star hotel, but I was expecting that the place at least function properly. The AC in our room didn't work well, the TV was had a lot of static, but the worse part was about the toilet, the chain was not connected to the handle (I think it was broken) so we had to take the lid off the toilet tank and pull the chain with out hand from the inside. The room itself had decent beds and pillows. Towels were scratchy, but that was no big deal. The hotel is set on a little channel or water way that leads into the lake, but across from the hotel is a construction/industrial site so you also get a view of all that's going on there. The location is good for those going Cedar Point, but I would advise shelling out the extra bucks and staying at a slightly better place.

We really enjoyed our stay the staff was very nice and great location. Very close to Cedar Point!! Close to allot of shopping and restaurants. We have been to the hotel now several times we really loved it. Will be back again soon!! Thanks for a great stay!

We reserved a room through Travelocity with a river view and a jacuzzi. We printed out the reservation to take with us. When we got there we were given a parking lot view with a whirlpool tub. We went down to the front desk and showed the reservation sheet to the manager and he argued with us that in his computer it didn't say that. He said the WE were in luck that since there was a convention in there was still 1 room left with a river view and a jacuzzi and he won't charge us for the room difference. How arrogant is that to imply that WE were at fault? Once we got to the room we would have much rather had the parking lot view since the "river view" was of a factory and piles of dirt and gravel on the other side of the river. This hotel was a HUGE dissapointment. We will never go there again.

The first room we entered had duct tape on the toilet seat, the room was supposed to be non-smoking and it smelled like a musty ash tray. We complained to the desk attendant who acted like she didn't know there was duct tape on the toilet seat. We were given another room, which was much cleaner and updated. There is no lakeview, there is a factory view across the river. The doughnuts in the breakfast room were stale and the windows were very dirty. Stick with something close to Cedar Point. This place was not worth the money.

Safe area. Beds uncomfortable, there were queen beds, given a view of parking lot instead of river view. The staff was kind the room was small and old looking could have been cleaner.

the hotel advertises a river view, what is not mentioned is the view is of a huge industrial property with massive piles of coal. the river is also less then appealing. We had problems with our toilet and the non smoking rooms are on the same floors as smoking rooms. the smoke smell was very prevolent, especially to a non smoker. the front desk was very helpful and polite, the hotel was the problem. way overpriced for what you get.

The desk clerk screwed up our room and had an attitude about it. Made it sound like he was doing us a favor. Spent the extra money for the ""River View"". More like a FACTORY VIEW ! ! ! Breakfast was stale and the towels were better used as sandpaper.

The Rivers Edge Inn was a pleasant suprise to us. Some reviews were good and some were bad. The Inn was about 10 minutes from Cedar point and was a good value. The staff was polite while the room was restocked each day during our three night stay. There is a complimentary breakfast consisting of bagels, donuts, cereal and juice. If you want something more there was fast food or other hotel breakfast buffets on the way to Cedar point. The rooms were comfortable with either some chairs or a couch and plenty of lights at night. The rooms also had cable tv and good sized bathrooms were two people could navigate easily if need be. I recommend this hotel to other Cedar Point or Sandusky area travelers!

Fairly close to Cedar Point. Thought it would be in a nice location- on the river. Found out there was a landfill/ power plant also on the river, location turned out to be not very pleasant. Comfortable enough to crash in after a long day at Cedar Point. Would not recommend extended stays here. Continental breakfast appreciated. Bathroom was clean.

My wife and I wanted a quick romantic get-away. While we can make just about anything romantic this hotel proved to be a challenge. Customer service is seriously lacking and you can get a better view of dirt piles/factories without having to look across a river.

Convenient location and scenic. Rooms were very small for a fine hotel. Good, would stay there again.

Bad customer service, bad cable tv reception, hard beds, pink and mauve rooms, river view of 2 factories, loud trains, weak a/c, bad breakfast, avoid at all costs.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Loved everything. The staff was the nicest staff. Clean hotel and absolutely beautiful! Great site and view of the river. Had everything we needed taking care of.

Close to Cedar Point and friendly hotel staff. A lot of spiders were found and toilet wouldn't flush correctly. Hotel was great for couple going to Cedar Point. Conveniently close to Cedar Point, as well as a great Mexican restaurant. I strongly recommend for any Mexican food lovers. Staff was friendly and helpful to all needs. Only problem was a lot of spiders were found in room, however, right on the lake so that is common. Also, the toilet wouldn't flush and actually overflowed once. Other than that, it was a great hotel for the price and convenience.
