Customer Service: Not being able to book-in between 3 and 6 not good for guests travelling any distance.Food: Not giving the choice of English or Continental breakfast , and the unavailability of white bread is no good in an pub in England. I did not sample the Dinner menu.

A Lovely Country Pub/HotelWonderful setting in small village. Owners provide an excellent and friendly service. Rooms are large, comfortable modern and clean. Pub/restaurant frequented by many locals, a recomendation in itself. Food was exceptional, imaginative and well cooked menu.

Great value, lovely accomodation, good food, perfect for a relaxing break in the countrySet in a pretty Dorset village; a bright, clean "country cottage" bedroom with spotless ensuite bathroom. Room stocked with TV (with Freeview); hairdryer; very efficient heater for when the nights get cooler; kettle with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, muffins and biscuits. Room looked out onto delightful gardens. Continental breakfast in the attached pub, with orange juice, cereal, croissants, chocolate brioche, yoghurts, tea / coffee. Wide selection of food available in the evening - we each chose a different meal, and each was delicious. Particularly recommend the chef's home made Italian ice cream. Within easy reach of the Jurrasic coast - Lulworth Cove is particularly beautiful - and other inland attractions such as Monkey World & Tank museum .

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was excellent, and the breakfast was very good. It was a very substantial continental breakfast. We ate in the restaurant both nights of our stay, and found the food and service to be very good.

Quiet, peaceful country pub.Travelled down to Dorset in the evening so we arrived after 9pm. Despite the kitchen being closed, they cooked a meal for us. This saved us hunting for food elsewhere. Friendly welcome and helpful staff.

We arrived here early but were still able to check in as one of the owners was very helpful and met us at our car and showed us to our room. The room was very clean and spacious which was very much to our delight after experiencing the opposite from the hotel we had stayed in the previous evening. We had dinner in the restaurant which was of a Mediterranian theme. There was lots of choice from the menu and we had quite high expectations of the food. Sadly when it arrived, the starter and main that I chose lacked imagination and flavour. The homemade treacle tart for desert made up for it though as it was delicious! We had a continential breakfast which was very basic and was offered a choice of croissants or toast. This happened to suit as we were travelling on a ferry from Weymouth so really wanted something light.

High Quality Food & AccomodationWe found the Riverhouse Inn was excellent & the accomodation was very clean, comfortable and of a high standard. The Rooms were very handy being accessable from the Garden and car park and also being in a quite village the whole stay was very peacefull.Being a Gastro Inn the home cooked food must be tried as it was of outstanding quality and we wished we could have stayed longer to taste more of the unusal menu. The hosts and staff were all very pleasant and helpfull. Highly reccommendedThe only improvement that we feel could be made would be to offer a full English breakfast as an alternative to the continetal.

Good locationHidden in a village, this is an excellent location to go and visit, Weymouth, Dorchester and with a very scenic coastal drive to Lyme Regis. The accommodation was very good, the gardens would be an excellent place to chillout and have a drink.

Excellent value, great location.Very clean and quiet. Perfect for one or two nights if visiting the area. Be warned the Inn closes from 15:00 to 18:00 so if you turn up between these hours you will not be able to check in.

A great little find!Arrived late into Weymouth on Channel Island ferry and stayed one night at the Riverside Inn which was only a few minutes drive out of Weymouth. The room was huge with a very comfortable bed and was extremely clean. Continental breakfast was served next morning in the adjacent pub/restaurant. Will definately stay here again!

late arrivalArrived over an hour later than intended and was able to order a one course meal with starter coming out with main course. Feeling very tired after stressful day what a delight to have superb quality meal freshly cooked. Will try to time a meal there in the future when catching a ferry. A little disappointed with quality of breakfast after outstanding evening meal.
