Great location, wonderful staff. Only drawback was that the rooms were quite small. Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely room with pretty view of courtyard - single room was very small but ornate. I would stay here agin - location was so easy - a minute to subway or tram or bus and a couple of minutes to shops, restaurants ect down winding old streets. Popolo Plaza beautiful at night. A warning about the TV - if you buy a movie you are buying 24 hours of all movies - which includes very graphic sex programs. This is something that should be mentioned to parents. Breakfast buffet fine. Room service OK but the food not worth the price.

Excellent hotel, perfectly positioned for top sites, walking time of approx 15 minutes to vatican Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, 10 minutes to Spanish steps, 2 minutes to metro. Good service with friendly staff and excellent decor.

The rooms were ridiculously small - there was barely enough room for the bed, nevermind our luggage... but nonetheless, i liked the hotel. it was in a good location, and given the price and the location, it was for rome, relatively good value.

Beautiful hotel. It's not ideally located, and our room was kind of small, but it was clean and nicely decorated.

The River Palace Hotel Rome was clean, comfortable, and close tothe subway. The rooms aren't very big. This didn't bother us at all, however, some people might be annoyed by it.

The aircondioning was so poor in the room. The room itself is so lavishly equipped and nice but as the air was so heavy sleeping at night was not that easy.

After reading a lot of negative comments on hotels in Italy, we were pleasantly surprised at the service and quality of the River Palace hotel, our 1st hotel during our 3 week visit of Italy. Diana, one of the managers, was extremely helpful with helping us find a hotel in Venice for an extra night because they could not accomodate us (we underbooked one night). The only complaint we had about the hotel was that it ran out of hot water and our tub did not drain properly. This is probably a mechanical glitch. We would stay there again.

The location of the hotel was very convenient, the staff was very helpful and friendly and the breadfast was excellent. Our only problem was a slow shower drain that was never fixed. We upgraded to a superior room based on other reviewer's comments and were glad we did.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our four day stay at this beautiful and extremely friendly little hotel. The location was very suitable for our needs, being close to the metro line giving quick access to any place in Rome which we wished to visit. We loved the breakfast range. We did find the bar on the expensive side. Overall we had a great few days and we would certainly recommend the River Palace Hotel Rome to anyone for a short stay.

My wife and I decided to visit Rome & see the sites. The location of hotel, the breakfast offered, the staff were all excellent. Very clean & extremely helpful regarding restaurants & directions. My biggest surprise was our room. It was extremely small(10'x10')with only a double bed. Since everything else was great about the hotel, the small room & bed were only a minor problem. We will go back to the same hotel in the near future.

I think the pictures do this a disservice. This is a great little hotel very close to the Piazza del Popolo. The rooms are not spacious but very comfortable and our room, although right on the road, was very quiet.

The hotel is no more than a 10 minute walk to the spanish steps (and that's a nice leisurely stroll through the Piazza de Poppoli). The staff were welcoming and the service and attitude was great. Breakfast was also good (it was included in our rate) - its what you would expect for a typical italian breakfast - patries, hams, cheeses, cereals, fruit and most importantly, cappucions. The rooms are really small but given the great rate through venere and the fact that its Rome, its something that didn't bother me for 1 night. I would suggest booking the next category up which wasn't that much more. I didn't see this category but I understand the rooms are bigger.

Room was not ready when I arrived eventhough I arrived around 4 p.m. the air condition was hot the first day the after several complaints the said they fixed it but it completely shutdown had to change the room to 'a superior one' which turned out to be similar to the 'regular room' and worst the air-condition was as bad

This is a very comfortable hotel with a staff that understands the level of services the guests require.

I found the location excellent, very close to Flaminia Metro Station and close to main shopping streets and right beside Piazzo del Poppola. Hotel was very clean, nice, excellent customer service, decent choice for continental breakfast and very nice staff. On the downside - the mini bar was very expensive, drinks in the hotel bar way too expensive and the lack of some facilities such as iron & ironing board and tea/coffee in room were lacking and you would expect these in a 4 star rated hotel.
