Very nice Hotel, staff with a great attitude and focused on service. Huge facilities, a wide variety in meals (asian, mexican, grilled). 4 bars with good liquors national & imported. My best experience in an all-inclusive. Worth a come back

This vacation was very dissapointing. I went to RIU Emerald beach because I was planning to relax, in other words, eat, drink, swim & sleep. EAT: 1 restaurant for breakfast. Always crowded, 10, 15 min lines to get food. Seemed that they were not expecting that many people. 1 restaurant for lunch, (open air, flies everywhere) & crowded, low variety. Dinner... 3 "theme" restaurants, I only went to the Mexican and Asian restaurants. The Asian was a joke. Terrible food. The worst I ever seen. The Mexican food was average, but service was poor. I did not have the chance to go the the steaks restaurant because it was full. Their reservation system socks. It starts every day at 900 but by 930 is all full and usually 100 people still in line! DRINK. Drinking was ok but some liquors seemd low quality, I am Mexican and never saw that brand no where. There were other drinks that were good, Kalhua, Baileys & Jose Cuervo Tequila. Scotch so so, red label is not that bad. So overall it was good. SWIM. Kids everywhere even at the swim up bar. Tough to spend some relaxing time in the pool. The beach was rough all 5 days. So it was not as desired. SLEEP. The bed was very soft and the main problem were the sheets, they smell weird and were rough, they itched and even with very small sunburned they did bother a lot. The BIG ENDING. Somebody stole my wife a pair of shorts... can you believe that? We had everything in its place to avoid loosing something and that is why we noticed the shorts were missing. We reported it to the front desk and although an investigation was going to take place. They had no updates when we left the hotel. Sorry but simply can not recommend to go there.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was fantastic, right on the beach with the best sunsets in Mazatlan. The food was plentiful, but not exceptional.

We were there for only 4 days thinking we would have the chance to try all the advertised 4 restaurants; Steakhouse, Asian, Mexican and Buffet Style. This was not the case as only the Buffet-Style was opened every night plus one other selection. First night we tried the Steakhouse...The food was horrible and the service stressful and badly organized. There was no music in the restaurant and everybody was looking at each other...no ambiance what so ever! We also had a storm on Friday morning and it took the staff over 24 hours to clean the walkways, pools, chairs etc before we could start using the facilities again. The staff was not well organized!

This place is perfect for a short stay of 3 or 4 nights, relaxing, good food, friendly staff, great swimmingpools and a private beach, lots of entertainment. I would recommend it to everyone!!

we enjoyed our stay very much. it was our fisrt experience with an all inclusive resort. the staff was very helpful, but it took a day to figure out how the system works and get what we desired in the the way of products and service. you need to sign up early for reservations to the other restaurants, other than the mainbuffet. the grounds were beautiful and the room very comfortable. the resort is geared toward families and has lots of activities food and other ammenities available for their use.
