service was horrible, when i called prior to my stay and also in person

Recently remodeled rooms as nice as most upscale chains. Hallways and elevators not recently remodeled and somewhat rough. Probably the best mid-priced hotel in downtown Los Angeles.

The room is quite small but what do you expect for a budget hotel.

I took one of their Suites and it was great. King bed, sofa bed, hair dryer, coffee maker, Iron and board, free internet and free Showtime. The hotel provided a continental breakfast and you can make your own waffle. Great location to Convention Center, Staples and Nokia.

It was pretty good except parking all over in all the hotels in the area is expensive. Also, the elevator took 10 minutes. We stayed there during the electric daisy carnival and it wasn't bad.

For convention center location it is fine. Staff was a lot of fun and helpful. Free Breakfast was real good. Could use comfy chair and more electric outlets. For someone who has to go to Convention Center in LA or Staples, an inexpensive delights reminding me of nice old hotels. Parking for $10 per day right next store, a bargain and safe. Staff was fun and if I have to go to that area will go and bring all my friends. Neighborhood is pretty safe but sterile and not a tourist area. Overall a real pleasant surprise and price was very good for area.

Excellent location, close to all forms of transport.

The location of this hotel is very convenient to downtown, the Staples center and the Convention Center. If you are traveling on a budget, and arent going to spend much time in the room or hotel, then i'd say its fine. Building is really old, so are rooms. Plumbing was not working while i was there. They dont clean the rooms until after 5pm so dont expect an on time check-in.

I had checked the reviews before booking this hotel so I was prepared. The location (walkable to the convention center)was the main draw. My room was small but clean. The fact that I can say clean dispite the fact that I was wrongly assigned to a smoking room says a lot. Staff competency and customer relations are sorely lacking. They had to dither for almost 45 minutes trying to decide if another room was available before telling me the hotel was full and I couldn't switch. My advise when booking here is to be extra careful when you set up your reservation and call them to double check since they don't seem so adapt at processing online reservations. They reversed my name order and told me at first that I didn't have a reservation and then, in addition to a smoking room, also assigned me to two twin beds instead of one double bed. (and blamed it on my booking which I know was not true). Location IS great. One block from the subway, one block from a Ralph's grocery store, good restaurants, and roughly 4-5 blocks from the convention center.

It's close to everything Downtown/. The hotels professionalism and facilities. Don't go there.

Our shower was 14"" wide. A normal-sized person wouldn't fit in it. They ran out of towels and we couldn't get fresh ones one morning (the morning we needed to get ready for the Grammys). The walls are thin. The guest in the room next to us set his alarm for 6:30 am each morning and kept sleeping through it. After 20 minutes, I called the front desk. They beat on the door and the guy still wouldn't wake up. They finally went in to shut off the alarm. This happened 2 mornings. The room was tiny and not well kept.

this is the good location for someone who take a public transportation.

Free breakfast. Small, bathtub chipping, electrical outlet in bathroom did not work due to location of light switch. This hotel has homeless people out front. The front doors are left open. The water was brown at first both shower and sink. Room small, bed had horrible mattress and thin sheets. No wake-up call available.

horrible place, the description is unreal. Travel agencies must check before recommeding such places even if are cheap! Ruined holidays!!!

The staff was friendly and informative, rooms were clean but very small not enough space to move around. If you just want a place to sleep this is it, you want a hotel room that is spacious and comfortable, forget it.

The "Dash" bus was right outside the front door. It was not convenient to the convention center. "Boutique" was a misnomer for this hotel and misleading. It's an old property with rusty water piping in the bathroom. It provided only bare essentials. Breakfast included was at first a positive but having a voucher for ONLY the same two egg breakfast without coffee or any beverage EVERY morning is not realistic. A more user friendly idea would be for a dollar value voucher to be used however the guest wanted.

We loved this hotel. Very small rooms but they more than made up for it with the price and location. We arrived at 9 am and they still gave us a room right away and we couldn't believe how close it was to the Staples Center.

It was convenient to the conference center and downtown events. The staff was unhelpful and somewhat surly, especially when asking for the "free" breakfast coupon. Although, it was cheap, clean and convenient, the room was tiny and everything was very old. I would stay there again as a business traveler because the price was right. But it is not for someone used to a high standard of hotels. (which doesn't say much for me! Did I mention it was cheap).

This hotel was under construction and has no parking. So each time you leave the parking garage, you have to pay a minimum of ten dollars. The room was tiny but very clean.

Affordable, close to theater, easy & cheap parking nearby. Extremely dirty windows. The Ritz-Milner in LA is a little faded and is definitely not a full-service hotel. Rooms were clean & safe. I chose it knowing it was not a prime hotel. I couldn't afford $250/night at the 'better' options. It was close enough to everything in downtown LA ($5 cab ride to anywhere downtown if you don't want to walk). Five dollar (24 hours) parking right next-door (outside). IHOP, MacDonald's & coffees shop within a block.
