Riad Felloussia is in the heart of the old Medina and offers a splendid view of El Hedim square. It is a traditional riad that has been fully renovated. The large suites have original bathrooms adapted to the structure of the house. Suite Toubkal also offers a large moroccan lounge within the suite where you can have meals and relax. All suites open onto the garden in the patio.
From Meknes it is very easy to visit Volubilis, Azrou, Fez and Rabat.
Transfer from Fez airport can easily be arranged.

I agree with all that Suzanne from London said! My partner and I and our 14 year old daughter stayed at Riad Felloussia in July, originally for 3 nights but we loved it so much we stayed for another night, and found it hard to leave. This was our 3rd trip to Morocco and this is definitely the best place we've stayed. Our suite was beautiful; tall narrow rooms that remained cool despite 50 degrees of heat outside! The room was scented with fragrant cedar wood from the furniture and the hammam style bathroom was gorgeous! The roof terrace was ideal for gazing over the Place el Hedim, particularly at night, when the square was packed with people, music and cooking. We sat watching a music festival below with the hot desert wind blowing. Very atmospheric. The Riad is in the centre of Meknes, close to all the hustle and bustle but it's position, down a quiet alleyway, makes it a private, quiet haven. We were looked after by Zohra, who speaks French and a little English. She was wonderful; a lovely smiley young woman, who also cooked my partner camel tagine and catered well for my daughter and myself..... vegetarians! The owner of the Riad, Lionel, is very efficient and responds immediately to emails, and is very welcoming. We were sad to leave, and will definitely be returning.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Riad Felloussia for 3 nights in June, during a month long tour of Morocco. Meknes is a very quaint place to stay, and a gentle introduction to Moroccon culture. Riad Felloussia was the most beautiful Riad that we stayed at during our time in Morocco and nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. We were met from the main square in Meknes and taken down the winding alleyways to the Riad - very atmospheric! We dipped down inside a little wooden door and could not believe our eyes - simply gorgeous! We were shown to our room, a split level suite with huge wooden doors, our own bathroom and a Moroccon lounge. We had a breakfast every morning of Moroccon pancakes and honey, freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee on the shaded terrace - fantastic! We were very taken with the other residents at the Riad too - Pistache the cat and a little tortoise! We also opted to have an evening meal in the Riad and were asked what we would like - my boyfriend rather adventurously opted for camel tagine, whilst I played it safe with citron chicken! Later that evening we were shown to the dining area and were surprised and delighted to find the room filled with candles and soft music playing and we were waited on hand and foot - very special. We were sorry to leave!

We stayed in the Riad Felloussia for 1 night in July 2008. The riad was lovely as was in a great location within the Medina. We had one of the suites which was great - it had its own lounge with the bedroom on the mezzanine and a large bathroom. They also did a great breakfast in the morning before we left.
