A Lovely Small RiadWe stayed at Dar Beldia for three nights, and where very happy with our visit there, its location is great within walking distance of the major sites and about ten minutes from the Place Jemaa el Fna.The Riad is lovely, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, our room was a good size, and very comfortable, we found the staff all very helpful, Marrakechis very very hot in July so the Riad is a lovely cool retreat, and the pool although small was wonderful. We defiantly would stay at Dar Beldia again

we love you yousseff! So far this was our favorite place to stay while we backpack in europe and north africa! we met really cool people there and yousseff was so helpful and cool and a rock of trustworthy information in a crazy sea of morroccans in marrakesh! we had so much fun and everything was just great! maria even let us do our laundry and madee made us breakfast and it was just clean and we would go back! it was our sanctuary after the craziness of marrakesh to come back to the riad!! definitely recommend!

Very good experience, wonderful, to be recommanded. The managers are european but very well introduced locally. So they can help you to find a craftsman, a guide, a good restaurant etc, everything you need to enjoy your trip. They are very pleasant and welcoming The riad is inside the old city near the main monument and the Jamaa el Fna place. It is a nice place, really.

Beware of pre-booked dinner tables and excursionsThe riad was lovely and clean, and the staff very friendly and helpful. The only complaint is that Laurent (the owner) seemed very keen to send us to a particular restaurant, Dar Essalaam, having booked a table on our behalf without us asking him to. This at first seemed like helpfullness, but when we arrived at the restaurant it seemed very much like a tourist trap - very expensive and over the top. Our suspicions were further aroused about Laurent when he arranged an excursion into the mountains for us, promising the taxi ride and a tour of seven waterfalls for 800 dirhams. This was a good price, but it was only once we arrived that we realised the tour was not included and cost an extra 200 dirhams. It may have been naivity on our part, but you don't expect to be swindled by you host!

a little gema very nice riad close to the centre of town.lovely roof terrace and breakfast was served whenever you like.an oasis away from the busy streets outside but close to two very good bars and some interesting shops away from the main square.the only down side was a twist path leading to the front door which could put you off but once inside all is forgiven.very helpful staff make this a good choice for first time visitors.

Lovely Riad, walking distance of main attractions, good breakfastWe realy enjoyed our stay at Dar Belina. The rooms were a good size & they were clean. The TV worked well. Towels etc changed after 2 days. The slaff were lovely & did everything to make our stay enjoyable (including carrying our breakfast up 2 stories to the roof terrace). The hotel is found in the Southern part of the Medina where it is quieter which suited us, but still within walking distance of the palaces & tombs. We had ben warned that breakfast in Morocco will be very basic so were pleasantly surprised with fresh orange juice, fresh fruit salad, croissants & other pastries & delicious coffee. We would recommend this Riad.

Good location in the middle the medina and on walking distance from the square. Friendly and helpful service, both French and English speeking. Room not too big or luxurious, but cosy and clean, as is the rest of the hotel.

A Very Enjoyable StayThe Riad is very clean and comfortable , it is located centrally within easy walking distance of almost all Marrakech has to offer. The staff are pleasant and helpful and the breakfast is very good. It is a great base from which to discover Marrakech.

Oasis of tranquility in Marrekesh's Jewish quarterDon't be put off by the lane leading up to the Raid, once you step through the door into the peace of the courtyard it is another world. The service was excellent with all the staff extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are not huge, but they are tastefully furnished and very clean. Eating a leisurely breakfast on the roof top terrace each morning was a wonderful way to start each day. Ideal central place to stay within walking distance of main square and souks. Would definitely recommend it for anyone wanting to soak up the local culture.

This is the one! This is a small, but beautifully presented riad within walking distance of virtually everything you would want to see in Marrakech. Youssef will make you a fantastic breakfast, and supply you with drinks whenever you want. Laurent will give you plenty of advice as to where to visit, and arrange bookings for you too. All the staff speak very good english. The riad is spotlessly clean, and has a very friendly atmosphere. We booked Dar Beldia as a result of seeing some good reviews, and were not disappointed. Email Laurent, and get him to arrange a taxi to meet you at the airport, this will save you money, and avoid you getting lost. Once you arrive they will make you a glass of Morrocan Whisky (mint tea) and you will immediately feel the stresses and strains of the real world ebbing away. Enjoy. We did.

Fantastic place - staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. They all speak very good English. The hotel was absolutely spotless and the rooms and bathrooms were very spacious and spotlessly clean. The location was excellent - in the medina but away from the madding crowd. No distance to the main square. The staff were on hand 24 hours a day. Food and service excellent. Breakfast served from 8.30-12.00 was excellent. - lovely roof terrace - Laurent (the owner) was very happy to organise/recommend tours for us and recommend and book us into restaurants and even get us discounts. Taxi to the airport arrived perfectly on time which Laurent had arranged for us. All in all I couldn't recommend this place more highly.

A nice riad, not too far from the main square Djeema al Fnar and also very handy for the palaces and Bains de Marrakech. The staff were all very helpful and obliging. Unfortunately (and absolutely out of control of the riad owners) at the time of our visit, the only alleyway in and out from the riad was being completely dug up, to the extent that it was impossible to leave for about 15 minutes when we checked out. When we finally did escape the workmen had to pass our bags across the 3 metre deep ravine! Don't expect Moroccan roadworks to comply with EU regulations!! These works also caused us to be without water for a whole afternoon of our stay.Overall, it was a nice place to stay with nice people. Even at Laterooms prices, it is expensive for what you get. However, as we discovered later during our stay, this is true of all riads in Morocco. Don't expect European boutique hotel finish or quality, but here you will get a taste of the authentic Marrakech city living experience.

Skelton staff meant that no breakfast was provided one morning and we were requested to return to the hotel by a specified time because staff not there all the time and we were not given keys to the front door. Generally a nice Riad but nothing special.

Very difficult to find so I would recommend you book a taxi from the airport. Where the Riad is situated is like down town Bagdad - they are digging all the roads up and when it rains it its like a mud bath. Also we booked what we thought was a superior room but it was very small and a bit disappointing. However the staff are really friendly and the service was good.\r\n\r\nManagement Response:\r\n\r\nThe digging up this customer is referring to is now over and was aiming at developing better the area. Riad Dar Beldia is now accessible from its main entrance and taxis can drop customers directly at the front of the Riad.

We enjoyed our stay in Riad Dar Beldia. The rooms were clean and comfortable. the staff was helpful, but since there are only 1-2 people there at a time you are not always guaranteed service when you need it. The only downside of this riad is the location. It is not more than a 15 min walk from Djmaa el Fna ( central market plaza) but it is sequestered on an alley away from the main road. Walking back to the riad late at night takes an intrepid soul. We didn't have any problems with it, but we also tried not to stay out too late past 10pm. This only poses an inconvenience for people who like to stay out later than this. (the positive side to this is that it is much quieter and provides for a better rest) In the end, it was a great stay and we got to see the wonderful sites of Marrakech without any problems. I

I think this Riad is owned by a French couple. Both of whom we met fleetingly. When we checked in they tried to fob off the tiny room next to reception downstairs on us despite us being two tall adults! We said absolutely no way would we take that room considering the cost (€65+tax). The Female owner was aware that we were complaining and never came over and sorted it out even though we are fluent in French. She left before her guests were sorted in a room. The Moroccan employee hummed and hawed for ages and even tried to say that another room would cost us more money. He left us sitting there in the cold while he fussed around and was making calls to we don't know who but supposedly the Owner. We refused to pay more and got a larger room. Not once were we offered a mint tea in this whole period. No hospitality at all. Then that next morning the Male Belgian owner said a quick helllo but ONLY to ask us to if we needed his assistance with shopping and perhaps eat lunch at his other business? Are you joking?. There was no one else staying. It was lonely and cold. If you wanted to get in or out of the building you had to wake up the house-boy who gave me a filthy look when woken. We stayed two nights and on the night before our departure I went to reception to 1) check if I had already paid and if not to pay, 2) arrange an early morning call (for catching a flight) and, 3) arrange an early morning breakfast to be served BEFORE we left for the airport. The man didn't know whether I had pre-paid or not through LateRooms so I paid him. He confirmed that he would arrange for my early morning call and breakfast. I re-iterated the time and what my requirements were. All was agreed. But no, no morning call. Not a sound dowstairs when I awoke. It was me who went downstairs late to find the house-boy snoring so I had to wake him up to get out the front door (as it was locked and I could not exit without him opening it). He gave me a filthy look and never apologised. So, no morn
