A lovely place to stay.We had a lovely surprise when we arrived.The room was fab.We needed a taxi in middle of night the security guard arranged one right away.Hotel has the best view and location.Am booking it for my parents and we will return when we have to stay in Nimes.Reception staff were very good and pleasant.Hubby wanted coffee we hadn't bought any he went down to breakfast room and they gave him a cup and didn't charge.

Great location in NemesNemes is a great place to visit and this hotel is right where you need to be. The room was modern and comfortable. The bed was a bit like a temporary camp bed kind of thing but it was more comfortable than it looked. The Hotel was clean and the staff helpfull.

Excellent location in gorgeous NimesThis was an ideal place to stay for two days whilst exploring the city. Peaceful location and hotel. The room was quite odd with a mezzanine for sleeping, so maybe not ideal is you dont like stairs in the haze of the night, worth checking for other rooms. Lots of space and a beautiful view of the place des arenes and the amphitheatre opposite. Perfect distance from the central shopping district of the city, so if the intense midsummer heat gets too much you can be in your room within a short walk, and great for the restaurants in the evening...we wholly recommend 'Le 9'!!! gorgeous walled courtyard setting, with the most amazing duck, in the whole of Languedoc.The only slight problem we encountered at the hotel, was a new reception employee, who wasnt able to inform us of airport transport and a few other things. HOWEVER, there were many others on different shifts who were fully clued up and able to be of assistance. They were all incredibly polite and efficient!we would recommend this hotel absolutely if you are in Nimes, as walking around noticing others we surely found we got an incredible deal.

Le Cheval Blanc NImesThis hotel was excellent. The bext location as near to the train station and airport shuttle and vjust across the road from the ampitheatre/arena. A beautiful building and friendly staff. The room we had was lovely the window opened on to a direct view of the arena, they had a blind so you could black out the light (i like a dark room to sleep), the fride was really useful when we bought cheese and wine back to the room for supper. Everything is walking dstance from this point. The bed was large and really comfy. There was a flat screen tv. The toilet and bathroom were separate which was nice. There was plenty of wardrobe space. The bed was up on a mezzanine and the room had lovely wooden beams. Great. One minor negative, common to many European hotels, the shower was hand held over the bath.

a few days in NimesLe Cheval Blanc is well located, -we had a double room looking on to the amazing Roman arena opposite. The hotel is situated between railway station and town centre. Room was spacious, very clean, comfortable and well equipped, including fridge, sink,saucepans etc. Good bathroom with separate toilet.Receptionist was very helpful, even offered to look up bus times to Pont du Gard for us. Excellent value at Late Rooms price.

lovely characterful hotel with great views of the arena in nimesThis was our second time at the Cheval Blanc. It is a great little hotel with amazing views of the arena, a Roman amphitheatre which is floodlit by night. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and there is a fullsized fridge which is handy as there is a Monoprix supermarket just down the road where you can buy all your drinks and provisions!The restaurant next door, (also called Le Cheval Blanc) serves delicious food at reasonable prices. We had le menu du jour, three courses for 18euros. However the old town is just a stonesthrow away where there are numerous bars and restaurants to choose from.Nimes is a gorgeous city, well worth a visit. Enjoy!

The location of this hotel is perfect our room had a view of the arena and is so close to town centre you couldnt hope for better. It was very clean and modern with plenty of space and the chairs and tables we found great for eating breakfast that we bought from one of the town supermarkets. Overall i would definatly stay here again if travelling to Nimes

Great location in the centre of Nimes, but parking can be a big problem. The kitchenette stated in some rooms is only available on the weekly stay and there are no tea making facilities in the room. Great clean decor in the rooms.

Great hotel, we travel a lot & found this hotel so well located near to all the main areas in Nimes. The room was very good, we did travel with out our kids, however the room would have been ok. The breakfast was 10euros each however was ok. Nimes is a great town with lots to do. The park is nice to sit & eat lunch with a bottle of red, walk up the hill to the tower to have your picnic.

I really liked this place - so much nicer than the pictures. The staff were friendly and helpful - we needed a wake-up call to get to the airport early but there are no phones - so someone came up and knocked on the door. The view of the amphitheatre is spectacular and the proximity to the centre is just right. Business or pleasure this is a great place to stay! The only thing that isn't clear when you book is that the kitchenette is only for use if you stay the week (it's locked) - we were only staying one night - however when I asked at reception and said I only wanted to make coffee she gave me the key so we could use the kettle - which was all we needed. The information on this should be clearer though.

Great hotel and perfect situation opposite the amphitheatre. Staff very friendly and helpful. Though the room was classed as a standard room it was very spacious and well fitted out.

Pleasantly surprised by both the position and the quality of the hotel. My room was crisp, modern and spacious, with a great view of the amphitheatre and great access to the town. Comfortable and very reasonably priced, I was only there for one night, but would certainly stay there again.

A great hotel - fantastic location, opposite the Arena and just a few minutes walk from the old town. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet with fantastic views of the Arena. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

A very clean and bright basic room with open beams on the high ceiling it also had a very large, novelty, window shutter. A comfortable bed. A kitchen area was listed but locked so we couldn't use it. The fridge worked and was very useful as the weather was so hot, but the room was very cool on a very hot day.

Fantastic stay. My room was on 2 levels with nice wooden beams. Very nice. Free internet via ethernet cable (not WIFI as stated). I didn't eat there so can't comment on breakfast. Location was great too - right next to the arena.

una magnÃfica elecciÃ³nEl hotel nos ha sorprendido muy gratamente. EstÃ¡ magnificamente bien situado (la habitaciÃ³n con la ventana frente a las Arenas) para pasear por el centro histÃ³rico y para cenar en buenos restaurantes. La habitaciÃ³n era muy amplia, moderna y confortable. En realidad era como un pequeÃ±o estudio. Se puede utilitzar cocina que estÃ¡ muy bien disimulada dentro de la habitaciÃ³n. La relaciÃ³n calidad/precio es formidable, teniendo en cuenta la oferta conseguida (75 euros noche la habitaciÃ³n).
