It is well run, clean and very comfortable. It is an ideal place for seniors. The layout and the suites make your stay very pleasant. They have an excellent breakfast as well. The staffis outstanding in their helpfulness.

a warm greeting upon arrival. lobby small, with library and 'living room' area to the right .fresh floral arrangement and container of lemonade at the check in area. hard candies also available. down the spiral staircase is the library breakfast/dinner location. a small bar is stocked and available during 'dinner' hours. tables of four, with frsh flowers are located near the fireplace and tv. two double french doors lead out to the garden bar-b-q area. from this location you are able to access the indoor pool. the rooms were 'standard'. bed, small desk, lamp, tv, closet alcove, . living room couch, chair, coffee table standard. small table with two chairs. kitchen: fridge, dishwasher, microwave, stove top. breakfast is offered each morning. it closes promptly! a light dinner is served monday through thursday. from 5:00 to 7:00. for the 10 days we were there we never had the light dinner as the hours did not concur with our comings and goings. we would arrive lback at the hotel by 7:45. only the frozen dinners and snacks were available at the lobby market. a whole foods market is 3 minutes away. the property is adjacent to the finest restaurant in essex county, the manor. it is well worth a visit for the seafood buffet, ala cart dinner, and the easy listening bar. think 'english manor' in the burbs! the grounds are beautifully appointed. the gardens are calming and colorful. easy access to public transportation to newark, new york . we will use this hotel again.

The room was very cozy. It would be nice to offer a complimentary movie on demand. How many I'm not sure, but it would definitely be a plus.

overall i thought the hotel was beautiful ! all the rooms were 1 bdrm suites with all kitchen gadgets & dinnerware. I personally LOVED the matching white terry cloth bathrobes ! and the public pool....BUT they did disppoint..we were promised a jacuzzi in our rm and all we got was a regular small bathtub! we had to even switch rms because the 1st bathtub wouldnt even work then upon settling into our 2nd room the toilet wouldnt flush!

What a classy, peaceful hotel! Staff was beyond friendly and treated guests like family. Free high speed internet, quaint library, beautiful lobby, free computer/printer use, gym, childrens play room, etc.! The hot & cold buffet breakfast was the largest with more options than I've ever seen at a hotel, and fresh. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, with two TVs and fully equipped kitchen. The only problems were mild plumbing issues (had to flush the toilet twice), and sometimes you could hear sounds from the rooms next door. I strongly recommend!
