Date of Stay:
August, 2008
The room had a very strong musty smell. The neighbors (students) were loud and banging on something. A large spider was in the bathroom. The breakfast was very good.

It is conveniently located to the University of Notre Dame. The room was spacious and very clean. I would highly recommend this hotel to others.

Nice to have a refrigerator. Coffee readily available in morning. TV worked. Nothing.

Large welcoming room. Quiet and with all that you would expect to find in a suite.

The breakfast buffet was really nice. There was only an outside pool.

Good sheets and pillows Tiny bathtub This a Residence Inn and perfect for someone who wants a kitchen. It's very close to Notre Dame and perfect for visiting your kids.

Nice outdoor pool, basketball court, and good breakfast. Staff had trouble controlling noisy large group outside late at night. We would definitely stay here again. The room was nice, the outdoor pool was kept up well, and the basketball court was a nice addition for my high school son. Breakfast included hot items like sausage, eggs, potatoes, waffles, and biscuits and gravy. Staff kept food well stocked.

Nice room - wish my stay would have been longer. Needs to do some bug control around the outside lights at night. Only problem was the bugs around the lights that made me "rush" through door to keep them from going inside (some still made it in). Otherwise, the facilities were great.

Very friendly staff. Pull-out sofa bed was old and gross - stained and torn. Main bed was rock hard. It was fine. Nothing great and nothing really terrible. The beds were very uncomfortable and the whole place looks like it could use remodeling. The staff is very friendly and helpful, however.

Receptionist was great. Little pricey for location. Ave-to-good.

The staff was very helpful. I did not feel secure in my room, too many patio doors. I actually expected something a lot nicer. It was just OK. Someone above us was banging on the floor for hours, till 3 am so I didn't sleep well. Also some idiot was racing outside in the parking lot, also at 2 am, heard him stop, a big bang, thought our car was broken into (as this has happened before so we are a little paranoid) thank goodness everything was OK. We didn't eat the breakfast, we didn't have time. Overall, it was OK but due to past experience of being robbed, I don't think we would stay here again. We just didn't feel safe.

Convenient, friendly and helpful staff. Nothing. Great for families except no indoor pool.

It was within a mile or two of downtown and Notre Dame, both which I needed to travel on those days. The only thing was that the TV was too small and far from the bed - otherwise everything was great. I, of course, was not sure of what the hotel would be like since I used the internet for reservations. I arrived and was greeted by very friendly lady asking my reason for being in town and providing directions to Notre Dame. I then realized it was a suite-type setting, which was a nice surprise. It was quiet, conveniently located, and easy to check into and out of. Thank you.

Large clean room - good value HVAC was noisy Good location, friendly staff, clean room, nice amenities, needs HVAC replaced to less noisy unit.

The lobby was bright and spacious. I could park near to my room. Gave me a smoking room with broken toilet. My son tried to call 3 x,they said I wasn't checked in, I spent$15 on 3 phone calls to connect with him. It's a very nice hotel, but the staff wasn't very good. I went to check out and they couldn't find my information. They asked for my credit card even though they had taken the information when I checked in because they has misplaced my registration information. They listed the price I paid for this room on my bill, and I think that made the staff treat me differently.

The location, the manager's reception, and the breakfast were exceptional. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The water in the shower in the morning was lukewarm.

The layout of rooms-with open space. Noisy-walls and floors were thin. Enjoyed the room layout and the overall convenience to where we were visiting. However, the rooms were noisy-could hear people walking above.

It was more like a really nice apartment and close to ND! The water heater made a bit of noise. Everything was better than expected. It had a nice game room, free food sampler from a local restaurant, great room with kitchen, fireplace, living room and great staff! The only thing that could have been better would be an indoor pool. But I would give it a 9 out of 10.

We like the fact that it is close to many family members and they can come visit us at this hotel. What's not to like? It is a great place to stay. This hotel is located within blocks of downtown South Bend and Notre Dame University and the Michigan State Line. The rooms are actually suites with complete kitchens, queen sized bed, and pull out sofa, among other things. It is perfect for baby boomers taking their grandchildren on a trip to visit relatives or attend events at nearby venues.

The breakfeast! We travel with our children, and the rooms are not available with 2 full/queen beds, the children had to sleep on a pull out bed.
