The Monroe Residence Inn was very comfortable. We stayed in a two bedroom suite and had everything we needed. The location is great. It's situated next to a mall with convenient shopping for almost anything. A Sam's Club is just across I-20 and a food store only about a mile away. The front desk had directions for almost anything. Complimentary breakfast was always good with friendly, helpful staff. The staff at the front desk were always friendly and helpful. I needed a stamp for a birthday card and they provided one free of charge and mailed my card for me. Also, maintenance staff were always quick and helpful...a shelf in one of the closets needed repair and they came up immediately when called. The only thing that might be a problem for light sleepers is that it is located near a railroad track that is used several times a day and night. I grew up with trains passing in front of my home, so, it was nostalgic for me and we slept well. No problem for my spouse either but I did hear some guests with children who had a slight problem. All in all, I was very happy.

Great space, phenomenal staff. Traffic and Train noise woke me quite a few times during the night. The hotel was very clean and had great space for my business travel. However, there was quite a bit of traffic and train noise that woke me quite a few times throughout the night.

Like the description says its near a Railroad. The trains run on a regular basis and they are loud. Other than that this is a great Hotel. The breakfast was first rate, the staff was so polite and helpful. It is located near a shopping mall and near the Highway I-20. The kitchen in the room was fully stocked. The room was large and comfortable and the bed was wonderful. I would stay here again if I get a room away from the rail line.

The room I was given smelled like smoke. Ruined my stay there. Other than that, it was a nice hotel.

Handle several reservations for family wedding smoothly. Noise from train. Everything was great.
